Oh lord! What a fantastic, enjoyable, witty, energizing, heartwarming, joyful, humorous reading I had! I was about to cut some points because of the indecisiveness of heroine (She couldn’t choose between a hot English teacher and hot doctor! Okay, when I say it loudly, I know most of you think she is so right! I think I invested our hero so much! But when you read more, you found out it was never a love triangle, wasn’t it?) so for the love those vivid characters, gripping story-telling, amazing word building, all the sighs and “aaawwww” sounds I made, let’s round 4.5 stars up to 5 irresistible charm of the small town stories stars!
First I had to give the awards to those characters perfectly rounded, created and stole my heart, stay in my heart forever:
GIGI is the bat shit craziest, funniest, dreamy, best supporting grandma/housemate character: I
think this diamond girl grandma who is in her 90’s, addicted to Apple products, sarcastic, funny, down to earth hippy is my future self (If I could make it after all those delicious white wine, greasy burger consumptions!)
EMMA is the smart, determined, loyal, honest, best supporting adorable friend.
NICK is the hot, trouble maker, entertaining, cupid, Cyrano De Bergerac version of matchmaker, best supporting friend of hero.
HENRY is the shy, golden-hearted, intellectual, cute, devoted best hero/ book-boyfriend.
And CHARLOTTE: even her indecisiveness and some actions she took made me fantasize slapping her forehead several times, I think she is quite fine, talented, genuine, sweet heroine. She just lost her way, her life direction. She just only needed to remember where she belongs.
The book makes you smile so much. At some parts I laughed aloud and got thrown away from the coffee shop so yes I got banned from another place. Dammit! They said I terrorized people because my laughter tunes are hysterical and I terrorized the young mothers and their sweet kids. (Come again?)
Anyways, my cheeks still hurt for too much smiling but this small town story miraculously captivated my heart. It is fast pacing, swoony, romantic page- turner. Especially final revelation about Charlotte and her mom’s story finally made me cry.
And Henry… He was one of the most amazing, loveable, gentle, honest, caring, sweet heroes that you cannot easily find lately on rom-coms. (I’m sick of know-it-all, cocky, pretentious douchebag kinds of Alpha heroes, treating the women like they’re dirt under their shoes!)
If you want to take a break from heavy dramas, angsty fictions, heart throbbing thrillers, this book is AMAZING ESCAPE AND FRESH BREEZE FOR YOUR SOUL, SUNSHINE FOR YOUR HEART!
It’s about friendship, family bounding, discovering yourself, facing your past and finally an epic book about finding your soul mate again!
I think I’m looking forward to read Parker and Nick’s upcoming book. And of course I already added “Roman Crazy” (She co-wrote this book with Wallbanger’s author! I cannot wait to get my hands on it!)

Meet Me on Love Lane is the second book in Nina Bocci’s ‘Hopeless Romantics’ series, and it was one I was really looking forward to. I loved Henry in the first book and I couldn’t wait to get his story!
Charlotte Bishop is Doctor Bishop’s daughter and is back to Hope Lake for the first time in a few decades. Charlotte moved away when her parents got divorced and never came back. Now, she’s back temporarily to get her life back together. She doesn’t want to connect with anyone, she doesn’t plan on staying, but she quickly falls back into her friend group and starts running a flower shop.
Charlotte is torn between going back to NYC and staying in Hope Lake where she is starting to feel like she’s truly at home. She’s also deciding on if it’s the time for love… she has the attention of her father’s partner, Dr. Maxwell, and Henry, her childhood best friend. As much as I liked Maxwell, I rooted for Henry. I loved him so much from the first book.
I honestly wasn’t expecting this to be a love triangle of sorts. I feel like this was less of a romance (the couple didn’t get together until VERY late in the book) but more a chick lit story of a woman finding herself. It’s not that I didn’t love that aspect, it’s just that I really wanted Henry to have an epic love story that was all his own.
More than anything, I love the small town vibes, found family, and friendships in these stories. I’m excited to read more from this ‘world’ and I have high hopes that Nick and Parker’s story will be fantastic. If you’re looking for a slow burn romance with a fantastic hero and a story of self discovery, be sure to pick this one up!

This was such a fun and sweet small-town romance. Nina Bocci sure can weave together a heartwarming story. This is the second book in the Hopeless Romantics series, but it can absolutely be read as a standalone. Although I bet after reading this you’ll want to read the first book won’t want to miss Emma and Cooper’s story. When I first got this book I thought what a gorgeous cover! And then I read the blurb and thought, oh no love triangle, not really my thing. Luckily this really wasn’t much of a love triangle, there is an obvious clear winner. There are just a few obstacles in the way, The biggest ones being time and distance. Charlotte has returned home to small town Pennsylvania after some bad luck in NYC. Charlotte left the small town abruptly when she was 10 and her parents got a divorce. Now she is back and Hope Lake is not quiet what she expected and she can’t remember everything that happened here all those years ago. She definitely doesn’t remember Henry who was apparently her BFF when they were kids. As charlottes memories come back her feelings for Henry grow but this is only temporary, isn’t it?
I was super excited that Henry got his own story, I totally adored him in the first book. He is a guy you would want your best friend or your daughter to date, just a super good guy with a huge heart. Charlotte seem to be the perfect match for him and it really did get frustrating at times how long it took these two to figure things out. This was primarily because this book was so much more than a romance, it really was about Charlotte rediscovering herself and where she truly belonged. There are so many strong female bonds in this book, charlottes bond to her friends Emma and Parker. Also charlottes bond to her grandma Gigi who is one of the most spectacular characters ever! It also was about the bond between mother and daughter, and the impact that charlottes mother‘s mental illness had on Charlotte. I liked how the character’s mental health in the story was addressed and made to seem normal (for lack of a better word). At one point Charlotte and her father were talking about therapy, and I believe she said everyone needs to talk to somebody at some point, and I think this is very true. The story ends with a bang (literally there were fireworks) and a promise of a stellar third book in the series!

If I could rate this book on the last 20%, I would have given it 4.5 stars. What I did love about this story was Henry. He's impossible not to love. The romance between Henry and Charlotte had such great potential, but I just couldn’t get over the fact that things didn’t really start to take off with these two until about the 80% mark of the book. That to me is going just a bit overboard with the slow build. There was too much backstory being provided. I didn’t think there was really even a love triangle. The other character never generated a spark of interest for me. I loved that Henry and Charlotte were the best of friends from kindergarten till about the age of ten and that after twenty years apart, they were inexplicably still drawn to each other. The romance seemed to be the secondary character in this one. Charlotte spent so much more time with Emma and her grandmother than she did with Henry. It was almost up to the halfway mark in the book where he finally had a real presence in the story. I’m sad that I wasn’t able to fully connect with this one because I really did relate to some of Charlotte’s traumatic childhood experiences, but it became bigger than the romance, which is what I crave more than anything in my books!

Charlotte expects it to be the boring place she remembers, but instead, Hope Lake is doing well. While she only planned to stay for a short while, she finds everything falls into place for her. Family relationships, friendships, a dream job; oh, and she even falls for two different men.
Will Charlotte stay in Hope Lake, and if she does, who will she choose to love?
Aww, this was so cute! There are bits of witty humor that had me giggling, and I loved Charlotte. Hope Lake is a charming, quaint setting. Gigi? Well, you just have to meet that fireball!
Overall, Meet Me on Love Lane is such a feel-good story! I am so grateful for books like these- that warm you up and leave you feeling good at the end! Also, don’t miss Nina Bocci’s other book, On the Corner of Love and Hate!

Favorite Quotes:
Staring down at him, I could see that he was very well-built, clearly a runner, but I knew he must do more than that. Football? Was there a sport where you needed to be even beefier than that? Something where you tore trees from their roots and tossed them?
His shorts hit a spot on his leg that highlighted calves that looked like he had sewn a softball into each. I admired him for a beat. On a scale of one to ten, what were the chances of hooking up with a guy after you’ve hit him in the business? Probably slim to none, with slim out of town.
“I’m so happy to see you again. I heard you were here and baked cookies for you! Just like I used to do when you were little,” she explained. I looked down at her empty hands, confused. “Oh, I ate them. And then my dog, Whiskey, well, he got the rest. I’ll make more tomorrow."
I get these brief flashes, but it’s like my brain won’t let the memory train fully back into the station…

In continuing my total infatuation with the gifted wordsmith Nina Bocci I gleefully picked up and perused Meet Me on Love Lane, which only further convinced me that I must amass and read all of her clever arrangements of words. All. Of. Them. I adore her endearingly flawed characters, snappy banter, snarky humor, and sassy wit. Her writing style was velvety smooth, unfailingly engaging, hit all the senses, and was so effortless to read it felt as if I were watching a movie. Somewhere on the first page, I was off like Dorothy to OZ, having been instantly sucked into a whirlwind vortex, and, honestly, I was enjoying myself so much I was unwilling to pull myself back out and only did so under duress – while deeply resenting the interruption. Nina Bocci has a rabid fangirl on her hands, and I have a new favorite author.

Nina writes characters that are real, which leads me to suspect that her characters live in a town just as she describes.
The novel is funny, it's charming - it will remind you of what is best about small towns and childhood friendships and the kind of love that is permanent. And that family is important.

21 years ago, ten year old Charlotte had to leave her beloved hometown of Hope Lake, Pennsylvania. Her parents got divorced and her mom took her away from her grandma, her dad and her best friends.

Her best friends are still all there. But she can't really remember much. Her mother talked so badly about the town and everything in it that Charlotte buried everything in the deepest corners of her memory.

Well, that was adorable!
You might remember that I had some problems with the first book in the series. This one I liked so much better from the very start. It ended up being almost as slow and just as ... no idea ... concentrating too much on redundant and uninteresting things. But still. I loved it. I loved Charlotte and Henry and Grandma and Dad and all the guys and Emma.
But again - Nina concentrates more on the town and other stuff instead of the romance. I mean - I looove that small town vibe and the shops and events and all ... but ...
We don't even have a conversation between Charlotte and Henry until almost half the book is done?! How can we fall in love with their falling-in-loveness when we don't get to see them together?
I also have no idea why Max had to be in this book?! He was so not needed. It felt like he was squeezed in once the book was already done for 'excitement' purposes - so much of his scenes don't make any sense to me. Without him the story would've been a lot better - not that he is in it all that much, but still. And I hate that he's even in the blurb - there's nothing I hate more in romances than love triangles - not that that is what happens here - but the blurb had me scared it would be!
BUT - this really was a very sweet and adorable and funny and very slow small-town love story.
I adored the whole gang when they were togehter - Nick is hilarious! Can't wait to see him get his happily ever after with Charlotte's city-bff Parker in the next book!
MEET ME ON LOVE LANE was a very sweet and slow-burn small-town florist-teacher kinda-second-chance love story! ☺ Run to your nearest amazon asap for your own Henry - this one is MINE!!!

I just didn't enjoy this book. The MC Charlotte was annoying and the other characters all felt over the top (except for Henry... Henry I loved).
I just wanted a cute and fluffy romance, but what I got was a book I couldn't wait to be done with.

Charlotte returns to her hometown of Hope Lake after being gone for over 20 years. When Charlotte was a young girl, she left town with her mother. Unfortunately, Charlotte's mother was always negative about Hope Lake, and Charlotte has largely lost memory of her childhood in the small town.

I was crying happy tears as I finished this last night. What a perfect example of a childhood friends-to-lovers/ kinda second chance romance. Hands down, my heart hasn't felt this full and melted in a while.

While I truly did enjoy On the Corner of Love and Hate, that pales in comparison to this. While I was a tiny bit leery about the possibility of a love triangle and then the person that I liked better NOT being chosen, you don't have to worry about any of that. I knew it from the prologue and was so excited to see how things were going to pan out. You see, I am constantly changing what romance trope I love best. Is it friends to lovers? Is it hate to love? It really depends on the exact situation and the specific writing and characters. While hate to love always seems to be more steamy and explosive once the couple FINALLY gets together, there is something about friends to lovers that ALWAYS takes my breath away and has my heart pounding deep within my chest. And what could make that situation even better? Um, obviously those friends having been childhood best friends, that's what.
In the beginning of this book we see Charlotte coming back to Hope Lake after a series of very unfortunate events back in NYC. She moved away when she was really young after her mom and dad's tumultuous divorce and hasn't been back since so in her mind, this homecoming is going to be short-lived and last only throughout the summer while she can get back on her feet. She ends up staying with her Gigi (who, is obviously one of my favorite characters because she's so darn sassy and scandalous and made me miss my grandma something fierce) and immediately falls back into a fast friendship with Emma. One of the most interesting parts about this book was Charlotte's memory. When she gets back to Hope Lake, she basically remembers NOTHING about her childhood there because being forced to leave had been so traumatic on her. That includes Henry. Sweet Henry. Fuck, characters like him are what keep me going back to romance time and time again. He's an ENGLISH TEACHER, sweet, caring, wears tight shirts, and does nice things for Gigi (like gets her secret binge-purchases sent to his house so she won't get in trouble with Charlotte's dad, lol).
Every interaction that they had together had me on the edge of my seat and had my heart in my throat. He was so tentative at first and basically heartbroken at the thought of her not remembering him or leaving him again. *sobs* And then I lost it at the end when Charlotte finds a certain something and realizes stuff because of that certain something. Seriously, tears just ah-streaming down my face the entire time. Basically all you need to know is that this book is really good and will grab you by the heart and not let go. I am so glad I got my hands on it and I can't wait for Parker and Nick's book!

This Hallmark-esque story was brimming with sweet moments, both romantic and otherwise.
I've "known" Nina Bocci ever since I became a blogger, as she has represented some of my favorite romance authors. However, this was the first book of hers that I've read, and I was really impressed. Sometimes that transition from blogger/PR to author has been a rocky one, but that is not the case here. She featured a slew of likeable characters - Charlotte (the heroine), Henry and Max (two potential love interests), Gigi (Charlotte's sweet grandmother), Emma (one of her BFFs), and Nick (Henry's friend). On top of that, she brought a small fictional town, Hope Lake, to life - a town I wish was real so I could visit it, at the very least.
The story itself is more about the direction of Charlotte's life, having been blacklisted in her NY field of work as a florist/party planner. Short on funds and opportunities, she returns home for the first time in over a decade. Charlotte learns quickly that the town and people within it have changed a lot since her last time there. As an outsider, I was drawn in immediately and don't know why it took so long for Charlotte to see the appeal and potential for her in the town, both career-wise and romantically. There are certainly a lot of people in her corner that try to make the decision to stay, an easy one.
What I didn't understand in the story was why she has lost all memories of her childhood friend, Henry. I've heard of blocking memories, but usually those are bad ones, not happy ones. So, the reconnection between Charlotte and Henry is a very slow one (yes, I'd qualify this story as a slow burn). But ultimately, the memories are impossible to escape, and Charlotte runs out of excuses.
Although Charlotte was a little frustrating at times with her lack of direction, I really fell in love with the town of Hope Lake and its community, all focused on one thing, making the town successful. I loved how the town embraced Charlotte's new venture, making it more than a temporary one.
If you are looking for a book that is full of character, and enjoy sweet reunions, check this one out!

With everything going on in the world these days, it was time for a story that took me to a small town with a little bit of humor and heart and warm and cuddly feelings, and maybe a little – okay, a lot of romance.
Charlotte is broke, feeling a bit muddled by what her former boss did to her in New York, so she comes to her home town of Hope Lake thinking it will be for just the summer. What she finds instead is what gives the novel the fun story to follow.
The best part of this novel, other than the cozy romance, is the down-to-earth and believable characters that immediately draw you into Charlotte’s world.

In this second installment of the Hopeless Romantic series, we are graced with Charlotte Bishop’s story that begins with a very exciting prologue - Charlotte, a 10 year old child along with her best friend, tries to run away from home to be able to stay in Hope Lake after her parents’ divorce. Charlotte ends up living with her mother in New York City. All through her life growing up, she was always told by her mother how awful Hope Lake was, and discouraged her from every going back.
Fast forward twenty years, many things have happened since then; her mother’s death, losing her job, credit cards all maxed out and losing her credibility as a wedding planner. Charlotte needed to make sure things cooled off or find another fresh start. Hope Lake was her answer and reconnecting back with the only family she has left.
Coming back to Hope Lake, a small town in Pennsylvania, Charlotte finds the town quite unexpectedly. Hope Lake as she remembers it then is quite different, though in a very positive way. What she finds is a beautiful bustling town full of friendship, family, and the possibility of a long lost love. As Charlotte finds herself and what she wants to accomplish professionally, will she also find the right person her heart has been longing for?
This is my first Nina Bocci book and was I impressed with her writing style and brilliant dialogue from the conversations and banters to text messaging. I enjoyed the overall plot and amazing character development. You will fall in love with Gigi and the rest of the cast of characters in this book, that adds to its lighthearted and heartwarming moments. I find that this was more than a feel good romcom story, but a very well written women’s fiction full of positivity, hope and love.

this book shouldn't have been so exhausting to read... but it is...mainly because of the heroine...it is all about her coming back to a small town where she lived when she was a kid...and learning about herself & her family...not much of a romance book...rushed ending

I really enjoyed this. I loved Charlotte's story about finding herself, the flower shop and reconnecting with family/friends. I also loved the relationship between her in Henry. My only issue was the love triangle. Dr. Max was barely involved and the love triangle fell flat. I wish that he would have been left out entirely and I could have read about Charlotte and Henry finding her memories/more relationship building between the two of them.

Author Nina Bocci vividly brings us into this world that comes to life off the pages as you read it.
I enjoyed the adventures of getting to know more about these characters and their second chance love they find within one another.
Best friends can be more and this book delivered it.
Great read to cozy up with a good hot cup of cocoa and a warm blanket while reading this book.
This book gave me the feels of falling in love with a good dose of humor.

I fell for Henry after meeting him in On the Corner of Love and Hate and have been dying for his story. Nina Bocci did not disappoint! Meet Me on Love Lane is such a beautiful, feel good novel. It's funny and romantic and though there are sad moments in the book, the book itself was so hopeful. This is book 2 in the Hopeless Romantics series, but can be read as a standalone. It would be most enjoyed, however, if you read the books in order since previous characters appear and that is where we first meet our hero, Henry.
I was hooked from the very first chapter and couldn't wait to get back to it whenever I had to unfortunately put it down. I really enjoyed Charlotte's healing journey back home. Yes, there are serious moments and heartbreaking ones too, but I loved how everyone in the town of Hope Lake came together to welcome Charlotte with open arms (well, maybe not Birdy). The cast of secondary characters were fantastic and I loved catching up with Emma, Cooper, and Nick. It was Charlotte's grandmother, Gigi, who really stole the show though. She was so supportive and had me laughing out loud so many times! I can only pray that one day I am half as amazing and cool as Gigi is when I'm (hopefully!) a nana myself.
Oh, sweet Henry. There hasn't been a character in a long time that has checked all of my boxes the way he did. Henry was everything I love in my heroes. He was smart, understanding, compassionate, loyal, honest, thoughtful, and so much more! I know that many readers (myself included!) love all different kinds of characters. There are the bad boys, the alphas, the manwhores, the jocks, etc, but no one ever beats the all around good guy to me. I loved everything about him and when I learned the story behind his cochlear implants, I only loved him more.
I was worried at first when I read the synopsis, because I was afraid this would be a love triangle. Once you start reading though, you will see that that's not the case at all. This childhood friends to lovers/second chance-ish/slow burn romance will have you smiling and swooning throughout. The epilogue was the sweetest and was truly perfect for our characters. I can't wait for Nick's story next and those sparks that were flying between him and Parker have me very intrigued. Meet Me on Love Lane is not to be missed!

It’s thriving and filled with people and hope. And while Charlotte’s return home is supposed to only be temporary, she’s quickly finding reasons to stay. Her heart is torn between two men and two cities. To find out which guy and city wins Charlotte’s heart, you’re going to have to pick up Meet Me on Love Lane to find out…
I’m going to be totally honest with you and say that when I picked up this book, I wasn’t sure what I was going to be getting myself into. I had kind of a love/hate relationship with the first book, but couldn’t resist giving Meet Me on Love Lane a chance. And let me tell you, I’m so glad I did. This story totally won me over and gave me all the feels.
Meet Me on Love Lane grabbed me from the very first page and had me super excited to dive into Charlotte’s story. I wanted to know why she left town and never returned before now. I wanted to know why she didn’t remember a lot of her past and couldn’t wait to find out the answers. Now, usually I’m not a huge fan of love triangles, and this one has one, but it’s well done and not over the top in any way. Charlotte finds herself torn between two different men, but I knew right away who was going to be the one to win over her heart.
Meet Me on Love Lane was well written and entertaining. It was a sweet second chance romance filled with hope and the message that you can always return home. Overall, this was a pretty quick read for me and I enjoyed every single second of it. Meet Me on Love Lane totally won me over and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the next book in this series!

I’m going to be totally honest with you and say that when I picked up this book, I wasn’t sure what I was going to be getting myself into. I had kind of a love/hate relationship with the first book, but couldn’t resist giving Meet Me on Love Lane a chance. And let me tell you, I’m so glad I did. This story totally won me over and gave me all the feels.
Meet Me on Love Lane grabbed me from the very first page and had me super excited to dive into Charlotte’s story. I wanted to know why she left town and never returned before now. I wanted to know why she didn’t remember a lot of her past and couldn’t wait to find out the answers. Now, usually I’m not a huge fan of love triangles, and this one has one, but it’s well done and not over the top in any way. Charlotte finds herself torn between two different men, but I knew right away who was going to be the one to win over her heart.
Meet Me on Love Lane was well written and entertaining. It was a sweet second chance romance filled with hope and the message that you can always return home. Overall, this was a pretty quick read for me and I enjoyed every single second of it. Meet Me on Love Lane totally won me over and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the next book in this series!

This is the second book in Nina Bocci’s Hopeless Romantics series with On the Corner of Love and Hate being the first. While Meet Me on Love Lane can be read as a standalone, the first story does provide more insight into several of the characters who are back for another appearance.
When I first heard that Meet Me on Love Lane was coming out, I was incredibly excited because we were getting Henry’s story. Henry was one of my favorite side characters from On the Corner of Love and Hate as the sensitive and brooding English teacher.
Ten year olds Charlotte and Henry were best friends that couldn’t imagine life without one another. With Charlotte’s homelife collapsing due the poor choices her mentally ill mother made, Charlotte and Henry try to run away so that Charlotte’s mom can’t take her away from Hope Lake. Unfortunately, they are eventually found. Charlotte is forced to move to New York City with her mother leaving behind her father, grandmother (Gigi), and Henry in her wake. The trauma of leaving combined with her mother’s lies forces Charlotte to repress her memories of Hope Lake.
21 years later, Charlotte finds herself fired and blacklisted thanks to a misunderstanding. She can’t afford NYC, so she reluctantly decides to temporarily relocate to Hope Lake just until she can find her feet again. Her dad is still the town doctor. Even though Gigi retired from the practice, she is still beloved by everyone in town. All of Charlotte’s friends are still there, including Henry…but she can’t remember him or what he meant to her. Hope Lake was only meant to be temporary, but what will happen once Charlotte starts remembering her old life again?
Due to the nature of Charlotte’s repressed memories, this is a slow-burn romance that really doesn’t reveal itself until later in the book. The story mainly focuses on Charlotte immersing herself into the town of Hope Lake and reacquainting herself with the area as well as her Gigi and father. There were definitely times that I felt incredibly sorry for Charlotte because it was evident the effect that her mom’s lies had on her even into adulthood. There were also times that I was frustrated with her situation as well. I did love how the community came together to accept her and support her and not judge her for the past.
Overall, this is a truly heartwarming story that is more than a second chance romance. Meet Me on Love Lane is a reminder that we can always return home even in the darkest of times.

Charlotte returns to Hope Lake after have her life in New York City basically implode. She plans to use it as a "reset" and then go back to New York. There is so much she doesn't remember about her childhood. Her mother moved her away from her father, her grandmother and her friends when she was quite young and she has few recollections of the time she spent there. She has been in contact with her father, grandmother and her friend, Emma but she's not been back to Hope Valley since she left.
My heart felt like it was "on hold" through a good part of this book while it waited for Charlotte to remember who she was and what she'd missed. She started getting bits and pieces back about everyone except for Henry who was her very best friend when she lived there. Frankly, I don't know how Henry stood it. I don't even know how their other friends could watch this play out without stepping in.
Obviously, as the storyline plays out Charlotte and Henry are drawn to one another. He tries to resist her because she insists she won't stay. Will her heart find itself head over heels with Henry and Hope Valley?

First of all - can we just talk about how GORGEOUS this cover is?! OMG! Probably my favorite book cover of 2019! Fall is my favorite season & this heart shaped leaf pile with adorable red ballet slippers just reeled me right in!
Hope Lake & Love Lane, although fictional, sounds like a beautiful place that I wish I could visit! Charlotte heads back to her hometown of Hope Lake, after leaving NYC - jobless, broke, and lost. Upon her return, she reunites with old friends, her father & Grandmother, Gigi, and meets a new love interest- Dr. Max. Charlotte soon finds herself in a love triangle between an old flame - Henry, and a new flame - Dr. Max. As she struggles to seek a new career & life path, she ends up realizing Hope Lake holds more of her heart than she realized.
This was a cute, quick, romcom read. While some of the characters annoyed me (Gigi), and the middle was a little slow, I appreciated the ending and how Charlotte's life turned out.

I did not love 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐍 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐄. But I did love the cover.
I enjoyed it enough to read it cover to cover. It was the diversion I needed since I'm simultaneously reading an emotionally heavy book.
𝘞𝘏𝘈𝘛 𝘞𝘖𝘙𝘒𝘌𝘋:
- Quick read.
- Light & cheesy. If you're looking for a book to make you feel like a Hallmark movie does- this is it.
- Sweet romance, nothing too steamy.
- Henry was such a good guy and easy to root for.

- So much talking/dialogue.
- Too many eye-roll moments of things just seemed forced without balanced (not enough or too much) backstory. Love triangle? Amnesia? Adult Cochlear implants?
- The main female came off much younger/less mature than 31. It made me get hung up on the timeline.
- Pacing. Build up, build up, build up. Boom over.

Meet Me on Love Lane!!
What I liked about this novel:
That cover is to die for! Screams fall to me and love everything about fall!! I love the atmosphere of the.novel and the small town feel. Everyone is so supportive and just felt so homey to me.
I loved how the author continue the series and we get to know more about the characters since the first book.
Some of the things that didn't quite work for me is the relationship between Nick and Charlotte. The pacing was extremely slow and didn't feel much of a connection/chemistry between these two. The relationship was supposed to grow from their childhood friendship but we didn't have enough background memories from their childhood? So, this didn't quite add up to me?
The author left out a lot of the important plot in my opinion and her writing was a bit repetitious for me.
Overall, this was a decent romance but left me feeling more disappointed.

This is the second book in the Hopeless Romantics series and I'm really enjoying it so far. The first book is enemies to lovers (my favorite trope) and the second one is a second chance romance plus it has a spectacular cover. After a few tough historical fiction reads this was exactly what I needed.
What I loved about this book:
1. I loved Charlotte's Gigi. While she may not be everyone's cup of tea, I found her to be completely hilarious. I hope when I'm super old I'm as awesome as she is.
2. I'll say it again (just like I did in my review for the first book), I love the small town of Hope Lake. The community vibe and the people make this a place somewhere I would love to go. While you get to know the town a bit in the first book, you get to see grow a little more in the second one. Plus the whole town is environmentally conscious.
3. Henry is probably my favorite thing about this book. Geez he's so swoony worthy and definitely a guy most bibliophile's dreams are made of. He's an English teacher, volunteers at a book store reading to children, and isn't a commitaphobe (plus by the way he's described he sounds super hot). Don't tell my husband, but I may have a tiny crush 😂.
What kept me from giving this book 5⭐?
The storyline surrounding Charlotte's character was a bit out there and wasn't my favorite. While I enjoyed this one, it would have been a lot more enjoyable with a different plot (besides the romance). I would have also liked to get a bit more of Henry's POV because Henry was my favorite part of this book.
Overall I found this book to be a cute, charming, quick read. If your looking to find yourself immersed in small town life with a good romance, pick this one up December 10th when it publishes.

Would be a decent read but concentration of annoying elements was too high for me. I can't stand "witty and sarcastic" heroines, most of the time they are turning out to be self-centered and unpleasant and Charlotte is no exception. Imagine thirty something woman that is behaving like a teenager - she will be scandalized if someone will mention "balls" in her company, her flirting strategy will rely on playful swats in the arm or "accidentally" touching parts of guys body, she will require multiple people to be involved in helping her (after living alone in the New York for couple years she just cannot take care of herself after moving to Hope Lake). Did I mention that she will have amnesia? Just to make this story even more awkward and unrealistic because I can't see any other reason for it. She will also be guilty of my less favorite sin - she will have two admirers but only one will spark her interest. What will she do? Will she let the less fortunate suitor know or she will keep him around just to get more flowers and attention? How about the guy she is interested in? If he will said "no" will she respect that or will she use the sexual tension between them to get into his pants? Is Charlotte a good, hardworking girl that got lost on her way or a skilled manipulator?
There is a feeble attempt to comment a bit about mental health problems but it is rushed and squeezed at the end of the book so it seems like author was trying to check all the boxes on the rom-com checklist. There is even a sex scene filled with "rear ends", "him" and "her" (written in cursive to indicate that its about the genitals) that feels like it was described by the very shy person who was trying to be adventurous. Will probably forget about this book in couple days.
