Ransom (34, undercover assassin) fell insta-love with his sons girlfriend, Havana (17, virgin, vet tech). He tells her he'll come back for her when she turns 18. Some bad guys are fought, virginities are taken, marriages and babies are proposed.

They only have sex the 1 time.

Seduced by the Assassin is the 7th book in the Forbidden Confessions series by Shayla Black. This is a super sizzling and short story that you'll need to have fans, ice water- anything cold when done reading to cool things down. This is Ransom and Havana’s story. Theirs is a forbidden romance/age-gap romance. Havana is 18 Ransom is 34 and trust me, it's not so much the age difference that's the problem. It's his job he's in and dangers that come with it. There's suspense, intrigue, action, excitement, romance, heat (oh yea!), and passion. Would have liked just a bit more of Ransom and Havana’s story but overall, theirs was great! Loved the fast pace which wrapped up the novella and the sneak peak of the next book of the series.

For being a shorter story, this book sure packs a punch. I love that Ms. Black is giving us some shorter and easy to read stories in between the longer and more involved stories. It's a nice change of pace. Ransom is a lot older than Havanna but he swears he's going to make her his when she turns 18. Well, she turns 18 and while it's not an idea plan of getting together, they do get together. With danger hot on their tails, it's up to Ransom to help Havanna out and save her, even if his own life is also in danger. This is one story I can read over and over.

Enjoyed this quick hot read.

Seduced by the Assassin is the seventh book in the Forbidden Confessions. Age Gap, taboo romance. This is Ransom Garrison and Havana Smith’s story. Ransom is in his early to mid 30’s. She is much younger but of legal age.

Wow, did this book get off to a good start! Ransom and Havana do know each other because Havana was his son’s ex-girlfriend. She was younger when she dated Ransom’s son. Ransom wisely didn’t pursue anything until Havana’s 18th birthday.

I enjoyed reading this short and sexy book but then I had to suspend reality. In Novellas things happen exceptionally fast. There is no chance to build on the story. Which is probably the only drawback. I do love Novella’s because it’s great to fit in between a long book to read. So there is a place for them. You can read this book as a standalone and the other books in this series as standalones. Here are the other books in the Forbidden Confessions Series.

This is the seventh book in the Forbidden Confessions series and it is one captivating, short read. Ransom is the older, sexy alpha male who has developed feelings for Havana and is intent on having her. Havana is the younger woman who came into Ransom’s life when she was the girlfriend of Ransom’s son Ethan. Pledging to return for Havana when she turns eighteen, Ransom is all set to deliver on his promise when things go awry. Will Havana get caught in the crosshairs or will they both get their happily ever after? This is one storyline that grips you from the beginning and holds you in a suspended state until the end. Ms. Black has given readers a novella that is jam packed with goodness. It can be read as a standalone and this is one storyline that you do not want to miss. I highly recommend this book.

Seduced by the Assassin is the latest in Shayla Black's Forbidden Confessions series. It is a super quick insta love story that hits the spot. Ransom is a man in a mission and hoping that Havana wants him just as much as he wants her. He knows she is young but he knows she is older than her age would indicate. I love that Ransom gave her time even when he returns to her world. I love that Havana knows her mind even if she is young. Ransom and Havana fit even as they find their footing.
I enjoyed this quick read and can't wait to see where Ms. Black will take us next.

I love Random. I have loved Ransom since the first time he showed up in a book! Random story was so him and so fitting. Honestly the Only thing I could say was whyyyyy can’t we have more. I truly enjoyed every page from beginning to end. Hot sexy and chaos where ever he goes and a girl that was perfect but complete opposite for him. I love that S.B. writes some shorter stories when we need a quick but complete story. I am the Queen of starting a book at 10 at night (which I did) and I suck at putting them down. This was the perfect length to read and still go to bed at a decent for me hour.

Brings a whole new meaning to 'your dad will do' (**huge over exaggerated wink**) and I couldn't help but picture KR's book lol. But in all seriousness, for the safety squad, there was no actual smexy times with the son, I had to be sure before I started too cause that is so not my jam.

Anyhoo, age gap (18 to his 34), taboo (they meet when she's 17 and dating his son...although he doesn't approach her until her 18th birthday). He's also a serial unaliver wanting out of that work and finally approaching his girl when his old life catches up with him and he has to whisk her away while trying to take out the bad guys and protect her.

There's plenty of action, both inside the bedroom and out. The bedroom action is hot. The other action is suspenseful and intriguing. Havana and Ransom are a lovely couple even considering the age difference. This book is a great addition to the series.

Havana may be young but she also feels the pull towards and the need for one man and even though there is an age gap the definitely have some serious chemistry.

To be expected, there is danger involved with the life Ransom has chosen. HIs #1 priority is to protect Havana at all costs. Shayla Black never disappoints with her ability to capture us with her plots full of intrigue and sensuality.

A short but steamy forbidden romance. Why forbidden... the age gap between the main characters. Ransom is 34 and Havana just turned 18. But the heart wants what the heart wants and we don't always get a say in it. The kicker here? Someone wants Ransom dead and together he and Havana must survive the night.
This book was easily read in one sitting and a good thing too as I don't think I would have been able to put it down. Hooked and loved!

exciting start. Almost immediately you will be holding your breath in anticipation of what will happen next. Ransom and Havana are unlikely pair and some would say their relationship is taboo. This is an age gap/ son’s ex girlfriend book. Shayla Black hit it out of the park with this book. I have loved the novellas I’m the forbidden confessions series, but this one is by far my favorite! Sweet and entertaining addition to Shayla’s Forbidden Confession series!

Havana and Ransom’s chemistry blew up the pages. From the high intensity at the beginning to in between the sheets loving… I just wish it was longer! I loved the different dynamic/ age difference. Always nice to slice it up a bit. Overall, besides the quick read- this was a good read for a rainy day!

I loved this novella and devoured it within a day. Loved how quickly Ransom fell for Havana. This is such a hot story. She’s no longer his son’s girlfriend, and she’s finally turning 18. The heat is on. But is she falling for an assassin? They were really great with each other. I really loved their happy ever after. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

He's an assassin and his radar is on edge that someone is watching him. That's where this story takes off!

Although I really wanted more from this story, it was definitely a story that had me captivated from the start and I read it in one sitting! Loved their story!!

There are many reasons for Ransom and Havana not to be together from the difference in their ages, the fact that she used to date his son and his occupation but not even that is enough to keep him away. Havana is working at a vet clinic on her 18th birthday when Ransom comes back into her life with a bang.

They both know that what they want is a future with each other and the chemistry and connection between them is off the charts and now the only thing standing between them is his past.

I started reading and before I knew it I’d finished it! I absolutely loved Ransom and Havana. It’s a forbidden romance because it’s his son’s ex girlfriend and he’s twice her age but the heart wants what it wants and they both feel the same towards each other.

Overall it’s a quick read but so good! I loved seeing how everything would work out for them. It’s a complete story with an HEA.

Ransom a sexy as hell Assassin is in love with his son’s friend Havana. Feelings between these two are definitely mutual. Havana is hoping Ransom will fulfill his promise and return on her 18th birthday. She never imagined he would return the way he does.

It tells the story of Ransom and Havana. There is an age gap between them. Throw into the mix that Random is an assassin, who gets shot.
Havana will have to use all her skills as a vets assistant to save him.
Can they find a way forward together?
Or is the age difference a step too far?

It may be a short, hot and sexy story but it's also full of suspense and intrigue, and the characters have depth to them. Shayla Black packed a lot of story into a couple of hours and Jason Clarke voices Ransom and Havana convincingly. I would have loved another chapter or an epilogue. But I think Ridge's story has an interconnected time-line, so it probably had to end where it did.
