My pen name is K. M. Shea, but my readers—I prefer to call them Champions—call me Kitty.
I love to write funny, clean stories with strong characters. Books like that are among my favorite to read so naturally I love writing stories like that as well. My philosophy is that life is tough, so books should be something that makes you relax and laugh!
I really enjoyed the last two books in this series. Having a female soldier help break the curse on the elves and help her friend and band mate save the princesses at the same time was fun. Then we have snow white who has a loving step mother instead of a wicked one and needs to overcome her fears and shyness to save her step mother and her kingdom. Bringing the story to a close connecting the evil mirror from the time of the ice queen to be the power overcoming the queen to make her seem wicked. It was a wonderful twist and I laughed often reading the antics of the seven warriors. Very cute play on the fairy tale and the journey continues with a new series that I can't wait to read.
But got into them pretty quickly. The Twelve Dancing Princesses was very good and I loved the comedy with Emery's and Quinn. Somewhat reminiscent of Noctus and Chloe. I read that set of books first, although chronologically these were written first. Both books are recommended. We are getting towards the end of the war against the kingdoms, we have a name The Chosen from Snow Queen's time. Angelique finally receives help in her search for Evariste.
Timeless Fairy Tales: Books 10-11 were so good! This version of The Twelve Dancing Princesses is my absolute favorite, and I like the take on Snow White too. Courageous females and the men that love them. Swoon! These books are so great because each storyline just sucks you in and keeps you turning pages until the very end. Now I'm ready to re-read the Angelique books!
These books are more than brilliant fairytale retellings - and they are brilliant. They are show the battle against evil trying to destroy the world, and give hope that when you stand up for justice and help others even when it costs dearly, the darkness can be overcome.
The retelling of these fantasies were adventurous fun that gave women/girl's A more significant part in there own storyline. A story where good and bad are more complex. Where self love is as important as romantic love.
The 12 Dancing Princesses - 5 stars. I loved this installment. Quinn and Emerys were adorable together and it was fun to find out about what happened to the elves. I also really enjoyed getting Quinn's perspective on Angelique's magic. This is definitely one of my favorites in this series.
Snow White - a very generous 3 stars. This book was a huge letdown after the 12 Dancing Princesses. Granted I had already read Angelique's series so I could have dropped it but I was hoping it would grow on me. Snow White is extremely irritating. She reminds me of a character in K.M. Shea's Magiford universe that I detest. Fritz is decent as a love interest, the rest of the warriors were decent and Angelique was of course wonderful. I think if Snow White had been different as a character I would have enjoyed it more although probably not as much as some of the other stories in the series.
Timeless Fairy Tales: Books 10-11: The Twelve Dancing Princesses, Snow White (Timeless Fairy Tales Boxset Book 4) by K. M. Shea – I love this entire series, and I think you will too! Happy Reading!
Shea is one of my fav authors, and I really enjoyed reading the accompaning stories to her other series. It filled in a few spots, and gave the secondary characters that I liked more story time.
