The fourteenth installment in Melanie Jackson's bestselling Chloe Boston Cozy Mystery Series is a 9k word short story.
Melanie Jackson is a talent to watch." —WritersWrite.com
It's Saint Patrick's Day in Hope Falls and the citizens are celebrating by having the mayor of their sister city in Ireland over to join in the festivities. Unfortunately, things go from bad to worse as rivers run red, drinking of Guinness takes its toll, and a criminal pursuit by Officer Bill is required. This is a fast paced short story with plenty of laughs as Saint Patty's becomes a day to remember not for the things that go right, but rather for the sheer number of things that go wrong. If you are a fan of Nancy Pickard or Susan Conant you are going to love the cozy hometown feel of Moving Violation.

Melanie likes gardening but hates the deer who also like her garden, and she volunteers at a local animal shelter.
This is the 14th in the Chloe series. It was a funny, short story. The town is celebrating St. Patrick's day with someone from a sister city in Ireland. Of course nothing went quite right from the start and then Chloe realizes the mayor from Derrydown Ireland is a phony. It was a fun read.
Mishaps and mayhem as the two sisters are to celebrate St Patrick Day together. Changing the color of the river, and the day to drink Guinness seemed to be the theme in this shirt story Not as amusing as the others in the series.
I downloaded this free short story ebook from Amazon.ca, "The Sham" (A chloe Boston Mystery Book #14) by Melanie Jackson.
Being of Irish descent, I think it was appropriate to read about what could happen on Saint Patrick's day, just a few days away. It's Saint Patrick's Day in Hope Falls and the citizens are celebrating by having the mayor of their sister city in Ireland over to join in the festivities. But when they made a mistake by dying the waterfalls Red instead of Green...everything else falls apart. The visiting Mayor from Derryland, Ireland, Mayor Gilhoolie is not who he says he is, but is attempting to scam the city of some money.
This was a light an pleasant read full of action, and I liked the typical irish characters with their zest full of life.May the luck of the Irish be with you!
St. Patrick's Day in Hope Falls. Chloe Boston should have known nothing would go as planned when the falls were dyed red instead of green ... And the day just got worse from there.
