Sunny wakes up to a note from her Aunt Rita, asking to meet at the cafe to discuss the recent break-in at the cottage. But when she gets there, her aunt is nowhere to be found. While Sunny begins to get concerned, everyone assures her that Rita probably got sidetracked. Then she gets a note saying Rita has gone away for a few days, but to Sunny, the note is phrased strangely and her aunt’s name is misspelled. And then the unthinkable happens, a visitor is murdered at a neighbor’s cottage. Is there a connection? Frustrated because she can’t get the police to put out a Silver Alert for her aunt. Sunny decides to investigate herself, but is she putting herself in the path of danger. This is the 5th of 5 books in this series. I have read other series by this author, though not the first 4 books in this particular one. However, it was a relatively stand alone mystery, and easy to understand the main characters interactions. The author wrapped the series up nicely. Disclosure: I am voluntarily reviewing this book and all opinions are strictly my own.
Great conclusion to this series! It was good to see the new strength that has developed in Sunny here at the end. Love the small Florida beach town setting. Good character development and storylines. Hope there will be more stories about Rita in the future.
This was a fun and exciting read from beginning to end. The characters were well developed and easy to follow even though I haven't read the rest of the series. I'm looking forward to reading more of Ms. Point's books.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Lemon Murder Pie is Book 5 and final book in A Sunny Side Up Cozy Mystery Series and it is the first book that I read in this series and I really love it, I don't want it to end, I will need to go back and start reading this series from Book 1.
It seems that Sunny Charles never have time to relax in small-town Parfait, Florida. Sunny supposed to meet her aunt Rita at Sunny Side Up Café but her aunt never showed up. Sunny thinks something is wrong about Aunt Rita's missing but nobody including police take her seriously so Sunny need to take the matter in her own hands. One investigation is not enough as fate has it, Nick, Sunny's boyfriend, has a friend in town and that friend is killed by poisoned lemon meringue pie. Sunny need to work harder and faster to capture the killer before it's too late.
This is a very fun lighthearted cozy mystery with delightful characters, it's full of humor, mystery, romance with a fast-paced story line that flows well and keeps you entertained as you try to figure out the mystery. I was surprised to find out who the murderer is. I highly recommend this series to any cozy mystery fans.

Sunny was so annoying and didn’t care about what anyone else said. Everything was all about her. I realize she felt her aunt was missing, but what did she expect Detective Garcia to do about it when there really were no clues about Rita being missing. The people in town know Rita better than Sunny, so to completely disregard what they’d say was ridiculous.
When law enforcement finally did take Sunny seriously, she had even more of an attitude toward them. As I write this, I get it. I understand Sunny’s attitude. If I had a loved one missing I’d be out of my mind. It’s not just that though, Sunny is like a dog on a bone when there is a mystery to solve. The thing that stinks about that is how rude she is to other people during her investigations. She is so lost in her head that she doesn’t hear anyone else. And she’s being b**chy to Nick! Nick should tell her to kiss off until she can be nicer.
My next series to read is by Kathi Daley. I LOVE her books. “Pumpkins in Paradise” (A Tj Jensen Mystery Book 1)”
Once again we are presented with a dead body. Sunny is not the one to find the body, Nick is. Nick's friend has come to visit him and proceeds to hit on Sunny. Next thing you know he's dead, Aunt Rita is missing and a strange message is left for Sunny. In the course of time it's the aunt's cat that leads Sunny to the aunt's journal. Deciphering it is another matter. Several people are mentioned in it, so Sunny needs the check out these people and find her aunt and maybe solve the murder.
Will Sunny find her aunt? OR did the aunt take off on another vacation? Why was the aunt concerned about the Lemon Pie? Who is Apple and really she doesn't like apples? Is Sunny's late ex-husband's Russian mafia connection somehow mixed up in all this?
All in all this was an enjoyable collection of murder mysteries, but I didn't think I'll be eating at the Sunny Side Cafe anytime soon.
Sunny wakes up to find a note from Aunt Rita before she left. She said she was going on vacation again but the note didn’t make sense and Sunny begins to wonder what happen to Aunt Rita. She is told to meet Aunt Rita at the café but when she gets there Rita isn’t there and no one has seen her. Sunny knows something is wrong but everyone is doubting her. Join Sunny as she tries to discover what the clues in the note means. Along the way, Nick’s friend appear, a murder occurs and a strange woman is in town. So many pieces to the puzzle as she tries to solve this crime. The investigation is filled with pitfalls, unexpected twists, multiple motives and surprises that keep you glued right to the end. This has a happy ending to the series.

Sunny Charles hopes things will remain calm now in the Sunny Side Up Café. Then her aunt disappears! Aunt Rita had left her a note saying to meet her at the café but she wasn’t there. Is her disappearance related to Sunny’s past or Sunny’s deceased ex-husband’s Russian ties with the bad-guys?
Then there is the murder of Nick’s buddy, poisoned by lemon meringue pie! Sunny needs to solve this case. Strangers are watching her and she has two cases needing her attention. Can she figure out the guilty culprit(s) and at last free herself from her past?
This is a cute cozy mystery with likable characters that we are really going to miss and a story line that flows well to keep the reader entertained while trying to figure out the solution to the mysteries. Grab your copy and watch the author tie up all the loose ends for us!
Lemon Murder Pie is the 5th book in the Sunny Side Up Cozy Mystery series by Rosie A. Point.
This is the first book I’ve read in the series and I was able to read it as a standalone book.
The author did a good job of giving an explanation so you knew what was going on if you hadn’t ready previous books.
Sunny wakes up to a note from her aunt telling her to meet her at the café, but when she gets there, no one has seen her aunt. She immediate feels something is wrong, but everyone else thinks she is fine based off past behavior.
The characters Sunny, Didi, and Nick were likeable, and I enjoyed how they interacted with each other. It was an interesting mystery. I was surprised by the ending. It was a very enjoyable “brain candy” read.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Sunny overcame a lot in a short time since arriving in Parfait Her ex husband Damon had left her self esteem damaged, along with a mountain of debt.
In Parfait, Sunny made friends like Didi and Milly, and found a heartthrob in Nick. With the return of her Aunt Rita from her extended cruise, she filled out her new family with their pet companions
What is a gal to do when Sunny thinks Aunt Rita is missing and few take her fears seriously- even Nick. Nick at least acknowledges Sunny is concerned, despite his doubts
Can intrepid sleuth Sunny find a solution, and stay ahead of the ghosts and fears from her past?
Sisterhood meets suspicion and sneakiness

This is the 5th (and final?) book in this series, but it is the first one that I have read. I was worried that I might feel lost or confused jumping in so late. Thankfully, this was written in such a way that previous mysteries in the series were not spoiled. This actually works well as a stand-alone, but there is also closure for readers who have read the previous entries.
I would definitely classify this as a light read, and the feeling you get from the cover matched well with the tone of the book. Rosie A. Point's writing always oozes cozy, and that is no different here. The mystery was executed well, and the use of the sleuth's journals and collection of clues was a nice touch that carried the story along. There are no mind-blowing twists or shocking revelations, but I don't think most readers will be looking for that here. This is a light, fun, solvable mystery that will allow you to escape for a few hours.
A few minor editing mistakes didn't ruin the story for me, but they are there nonetheless. I would recommend this to readers who love a heavier cozy feel balanced with a lighter mystery touch.

Nicks friend Vince was definitely sleepy but didn’t deserve what he got. I felt sorry for Alexie - he really got bamboozled.
Sunny always said that what Damon had done / was into was going to turn up on her front porch and she was right!
I feel like there could be more books in this series! The ending gave a sense that with the new FBI agent looking into the Russians that this could spread to several more books. I mean Sunny is a part of the Baking group and her and Nick are official, Rita could have something going on with Gordan, then there’s Didi, Det. Garcia, Sherri and Cherry (or whatever their names are), etc, etc. I mean there’s so many more characters that could have something going on!!
Lemon Murder Pie is Book 5 in Sunny Side Up Series by Rosie A Point. Sunny finds a note from Aunt Rita to meet her in her office at the cafe. But, Aunt Rita was not at work. This began Sunny’s desperate search for her Aunt. Sunny was afraid that her ex-husband’s ties to Russia and the criminal element was behind her Aunt’s Disappearance. This was such an emotional book with characters that I have grown to love. The ending was perfect and it tied everything up in a neat bow. Although I am sad to see this series end, I can always revisit my Sunny Side friends and reread the series. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
Excellent cozy mystery, Sunny's aunt goes missing and her boyfriend Nick's friend is murdered. A very well written small town cozy mystery with great fully developed characters an intelligent storyline and a nice light touch. The killers identity was a surprise to me which is always the mark of a good mystery. This is my first book by its author and it did not disappoint. Reading the previous ones would have added to the backstory but is not necessary. Highly recommended. I received a complimentary copy from the author and am leaving a honest voluntary review
Point is on point as usual in the final installment of the Sunny Side Up series. Lots of twists and turns, an intriguing mystery, the usual set of zany characters and a totally satisfying ending for Sunny, the amateur sleuth at the center of it all.
If this really is the last one we'll ever get, it was a great ending. A little bit of me hopes that Sunny, Aunt Rita and Bodger will make a reappearance at some time in the future but only so many people can die in a small town like Parfait!
Available on Kindle Unlimited and well worth checking out, like all of Point's books.
Rosie has done it again with another great cozy mystery. A story line filled with suspense, intrigue, mystery, some humor added in and of course murder. Add some twists and turns that keep you guessing who did it and you find yourself unable to stop turning the pages. The characters are fun, engaging and enjoyable. A great cozy mystery you'll be glad you added to your reading list.

Finishing the last cozy in the Sunny Side Up series that I had the pleasure of reading from the very beginning feels like having a child that is now all grown up. Sad that the story has ended but hoping for a bright future for Sunny, Nick, Rita and the gang. It was definitely fun going for one more ride alongside Sunny as she rushes to find her missing Aunt Rita and free her boyfriend from a false arrest.

Sunny awakes to her Aunt being gone from the cottage. There is nothing new there, but when she gets to the cafe and her Aunt isn't there either, Sunny feels something is wrong. Sunny finds her Aunt's 'mystery journal' under the bed, inside are strange clues? Then there is a murder right next door! Nick's friend is dead and he just got here!!! What is going on? Can Sunny solve the murder and find her aunt or will it be too late? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This is the final installment in the Sunny Side Up series, and I think the author did a really good job with it. She managed to wrap up some previous questions as well as provide another good murder mystery along with a missing person mystery. I never saw the whodunit coming, and the showdown was a good one as always. I'd love to see Aunt Rita and Sunny in a spin-off series sometime and hope it would also be on KU if it came about.
This is the first book I have read by Rosie A. Point but I had no trouble following the storyline. I was immediately pulled into the story as we quickly find out that Sunny’s Aunt Rita is missing. Then there is the murder of a town visitor by poisoned pie. Are these two things related? A wonderful page turner with some interesting twists and turns. I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however, I voluntarily wrote an honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
Wonderful tie up to a series I've really enjoyed reading. Romance is in the air but life around this cafe is never straight forward so expect a few hurdles, bumps, a murder and some super sleuthing. This is easy to read, compelling though, I didn't want to put it down. Quirky characters, witty banter, surprises and so much more. A delightful story for any reader who loves some mystery without it being to dark or intense.
This book was absorbing. The plot was well crafted with a good cast of characters. Sunny has her hands full with a missing aunt, her boyfriend's dead friend, a poisoned pie and a list of unlikely suspects. Why was her boyfriend's friend murdered and who has abducted her aunt? An entertaining page turner with lots of humour and some zany characters.
The author has taken us back to Parfait to visit with our friends and to make some new ones. Sunny has, once again, be pulled into a mystery when her Aunt Rita disappears and a friend of Nick is murdered. The story keeps you turning the pages and wanting more.

Sunny’s aunt is missing. A man visiting town is murdered. Are the two connected? Since the police seen less than capable, Sunny sets out to find her aunt and solve the case. This is the first book I’ve read in this series and it read fine as a stand-alone. The book is well written with entertaining characters and a nice twisty plot. I enjoyed this fun cozy mystery and am looking forward to more from this author. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
Another great entry in the sunny side up cozy mystery series! Sunny is supposed to meet Aunt Rita at the cafe but her aunt is nowhere to be found and Sunny can’t convince Detective Garcia that there is foul play involved. She finally figures out the clues and finds Aunt Rita and Alexei being held hostage in Nick’s basement by “Katy”. Once again she figures out the case. Really good series.
As life returns to normal in Parfait Sunny's Aunt Rita goes missing and the police will not investigate because she has taken off for vacations before. Nick's friend another chef is found murdered after eating a piece of pie from the Sunny side up Cafe. Sunny thinks the cases are related As she continues investigating more attempts to break into her house and noise in Nick's basement. Great read

This was an interesting storyline and it was fun to read. I like the characters. I think the author has a lot of imagination. And now I want to read the test of the series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have read Rosie other books (Carmel Apple, and Butter Cream) just to name a couple, and she never lets you down on the mystery of the characters and fools you on the ending. I enjoy all of her books and will keep following her.
