Book 3 in the Geraldine Woolkins Series. Geraldine Woolkins has at last become a middle mouse, but navigating the waters of middle-mouse life isn’t easy. Her younger brother irritates her, her sparrow friend Penelope neglects her, and an elder mouse friend is becoming forgetful, making the entire Woolkins family anxious. Everything is changing. And when Geraldine discovers that the best treasures of spring—fragrant spring flowers, a pond created by spring rainstorms—will one day disappear, she is heartbroken. Does nothing last forever? Does everything good change or fade? Ten more stories follow the Woolkins mouse family—Papa, Mama, Geraldine, and Button—from April, a time of blossoming, to June, the month of long days. Karin Kaufman grew up devouring murder mysteries, especially of the cozy kind. Give her a mystery, a comfy couch, her sweet dog at her side, and (preferably) a rainy day, and she’s in heaven. She’s the author of the Juniper Grove Cozy Mystery Series, the Smithwell Fairies Cozy Mystery Series, and the Anna Denning Mystery Series. The Witch Tree, the first book in her Anna Denning series, was a finalist for a Grace Award. Karin also writes children's books in the Geraldine Woolkins and Woolkins Bookshelf series.
I am an eight year old boy. I loved this book 📖 so much. The end was the best 👌 part because she learned to love her brother. That could be a good lesson for all of us. I learned so many vocabulary words. I recommend this book - I love this book 📖 💜 😍 ❤ 💕
These books are so engaging. I have read them to my kids at bedtime for a few months now and they spark great conversation. Very very big hands (God) is a central part of her life and the lessons she learns are great for all ages to remember. They are funny too, and sometimes it's hard to stop reading, even when the kids have already fallen asleep. I definitely recommend this series. Karin Kaufman is an excellent writer!
What a fantastic book! I read this along with the other two Geraldine books with my sons, ages five and eight - we absolutely loved them all but this was our favorite! The moral lessons, fabulous vocabulary and great excitement had us always wanting more!! Thankful for books like this one to allow me as a momma to cuddle, laugh, and discuss life issues with my little ones...precious moments!
We loved this book like we loved the first two books in the Oak Forest Series. We go along with Geraldine on even more adventures and hear about her excitement, as well as her struggles, with becoming a "middle mouse". Another sweet book!
All of the 3 story are wonderful and heartwarming. I really enjoyed reading it. It shows that God always there to help and protect, when our faith seems to fail, God never fails.
This was my favorite in the series! Love this author and the way that she writes. All three of my girls really enjoyed listening to this one! Ages 3-9.
