The first ever American Dirty Pair comic is finally back in print, just in time for its 10th Anniversary! Fans have long been clamoring for Adam Warren and Toren Smith`s initial adventure of the Lovely Angels. Featuring all the explosions, accidents, and insults you`ve come to know and love from our dazzling, inept, scantily clad heroines. Also features the hard-to-find short story previously only available in Dark Horse`s San Diego ComiCon Comics.
Adam Warren (born 1967) is an American comic book writer and artist who is most famous for his original graphic novel Empowered, for adapting the characters known as Dirty Pair into an American comic book, and for being one of the first American commercial illustrators to be influenced by the general manga style.
Not my favourite adventure. It has a bit of Tom Swifty stuff going on. Sure, it is kind of fun to delve into weird sci fi but the plotting and humour isn't quite the same as the originals. I have read others by these folks and they do get better.
I think this is just one of those stories that they have been wanting to do.
This was a fun sci-fi comic that I picked up in a used book store. I actually remember buying one of the individual issues back in my teenage days from the local comic store. The Dirty Pair are intergalactic trouble shooters who often do more damage than good. There is a lot of cheesecake and 80's style flirting but there is enough action and science fiction equipment to keep me interested.
