Hey Loves! I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri (in the words of Nelly, “I’m from the Lou and I’m proud!) with incredible parents and two amazing older sisters. Born Stacey Renee, I was the baby of the bunch and always had a vivid imagination – was wise beyond my years (to grown for my own good) if you ask my mother!

My love for talking too much (ha!), journaling, daydreaming, reading & watching various genres of movies, books I went to journalism school, determined to become Oprah! After finishing my degree, I did everything but becoming a journalist. I dishonored my childhood dreams of being in some form of entertainment but found a way to use this big mouth for good in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space.

I rekindled my love for reading and writing during the 2020 pandemic where my alter ego & pen name, Robbi Renee was born. Robbi is my daddy’s nickname so my pen name pays homage to him. (Yep! I’m still a daddy’s girl!) Renee, as you can see is my middle name – Robbi Renee!

I started Love Notes by Robbi Renee as an outline to release all of the stories that live in my head. I was challenged to write and publish my first novella, French Kiss Christmas, published December 2020.

Robbi Renee draws upon personal experiences with life and love. My written works are inspired by my adoration for Black love, and stories of romance, heartache, trauma, intuition, and redemption.

Stacey/Robbi Renee enjoys her own Black family love story with her husband George and teenage son.

The book, the amazing characters, and the phenomenal storyline had me from the prologue. Pretty Shattered Soul is a beautifully written story about experiencing the worst trauma imaginable, learning to live with it, and trying to heal from it. Your heart will break for Syncere and you’ll fall in love with King. These two embark on a journey of growth, healing, and love. I’m not going to go into a detailed review because, this book is definitely best-read spoiler free. Pretty Shatter Soul was a page turner. I enjoyed the dialogue and the growth of the heroine was a joy to watch. As always, Wesleigh Siobhan did a phenomenal job narrating. This was my first book by Robbie Renee and it did not disappoint. I look forward to reading more from here.

What a beautifully written story of Love & Survival. Syncere James was a survivor and she was stronger than she knew...she received a lot of encouragement from her Prima...her favorite cousin/sister Symphony and their G-mom....not to mention the honorary family she worked with...she was introduced to a business associate that brought in more love, encouragement & light that she didn't realize she was in need of....I absolutely love the fact that she had an opportunity to address her trauma. Taking care of one's mental health is essential. Syncere & King simply made for a beautiful love story. Wesleigh was Absolutely Extraordinary, Remarkable, Exceptional, Outstanding, etc....with her narration of the entire cast of characters. I'm hoping for book 2 Pretty Shattered Hearts with Wesleigh narrating.

This story truly pulled at my heart.
SPOILERS!!!
Nothing is worse than when a victim or survivor isn't believed. Syncere had built up such high walls to protect herself, and rightfully so. Despite her trauma, she still had so much love to give, and she expressed it so beautifully toward her prima and grandmother. She even opened her heart to King, even though that was never her plan. King, the epitome of patience and love, saw and loved Syncere in a way only he could. He guarded and protected her in the most swoon-worthy way. This was a beautiful story of healing, love, and family.
I absolutely loved Syncere and King!

This is my first time reading this author and I absolutely loved this flawlessly written story. The author did an amazing job at showing how Syncere put up walls and created boundaries as a result of her trauma. It took the right man, a patient man, willing to support her on her journey of healing. King did not play about his princess and I loved that about him. I loved her sister Symphony and her G ma. They were supportive of Syncere and never judged or were too pushy and baby sis was always down to knuck if you buck on her sisters behalf. Wesleigh performed her @$$ off with all these characters and truly pulled all the emotions out in this story. 5 Stars!

Amazing story and narration!

The Story: This was everything…five stars across the board. This story grabs you in the beginning, pulls you by the heartstrings along the way while hoping that the main characters get the HEA they deserve in the end. Syn survived the trauma she endured but she wasn’t living. She had to work on herself and it took a long time. She deserves to be given grace for that and I think the people who loved her wanted to rush her healing at times.

King was a man. He can get all of it okay lol. He bulldozed his way into Syn’s life and heart but she loved it. I loved the way their relationship unfolded. I love how honest he was about he planned to love her what he needed from her. I’m so happy they got the ending they deserved. I hope Symphony has a story coming because I know it’s gonna be a whole mess.

The Narration: Wesleigh Siobhan did that. She acted her voice off in this. I mean she gave all of these characters distinct voices and that’s a talent that makes her the GOAT. A huge round of applause to her to bring this deeply touching story to life.

Would definitely recommend this please keep in mind that this book deals with triggering topics before diving in!

✨Book Review✨

Robbie Renee has done it again! This story is an exhilarating journey that beautifully captures heartbreak and resilience. Meet Syncere James, a fierce survivor shaped by a traumatic event during her junior year of college. The lingering effects of that experience have woven a complex web of coping mechanisms around her, keeping her world tightly contained.

Syncere has sworn off relationships, choosing to interact with men only on her own terms. But everything shifts when the charismatic King Cartwright steps into her life, ready to break down her walls. King is not just any man; he’s the owner of a thriving construction company, and with his wealth, he could have anyone he desires. But his heart is set solely on Syncere, and he’s determined to win her over, no matter what obstacles lie in his path.

This captivating tale unfolds as Syncere learns to reclaim her life, shedding the weight of her past and discovering the profound freedom that comes with it. The bond between Syncere and her cousin Symphony is beautiful; their unconditional love shines through every page, a testament to their shared childhood struggles. And let’s not forget their endearing relationship with their G-Ma, which adds yet another layer of warmth and depth to this unforgettable story.

Prepare yourself for a rollercoaster of emotions as you witness Syncere’s transformation and the beautiful love story that emerges when she finally embraces her true self!

Beautifully written story of trauma and surviving it and finding love in the process. I loved how they showed every stage of Syncere's experience and how she received help, encouragement and love. And King...damn...I want me a King Cartwright! His unconditional love for Syncere was everything and felt throughout the book. And of course our girl Wesleigh narrated this with all her emotions in it...girl you made me cry! Just beautiful and highly recommend this to everyone!

"Pretty Shattered" by Robbi Renee

My Opinion:

This story was definitely an amazing, phenomenal read that can reach so many different areas of one's life as it did for Syncere. We find Syncere's life was put on quite an emotional roller coaster ride some ten years later until she met King. And even after meeting him, there was emotional healing that still needed to be done in so many different ways. However, meeting King was a plus in Syncere's life, and having her G-ma and cousin, Symphony [prima], who were both there for her in all she had been through. There will be a heavy subject, but I will not go into it other than to say this is where you will have to pick up the good read to see how well this author brings it all out to the readers. I will say I loved how well it was handled and done with a good state that will leave one knowing its solution. I also loved the story's parts that will give one a good feel, laughter, and ever maybe a tear. I don't want to leave out the many well-developed and defined characters that really made this story awesome; well, there were two that I didn't care for.

This story gave way at the end to want to know of Symphony's story. All in all, this was a wonderful read that will definitely keep you turning the pages till the end.

A must read!!!

Syncere suffered a devastating trauma in college that made her want to control her love life and hiw she interacted with men. When Syncere met King, he stirred feelings in her she wasn't expecting. King knew that Syncere was the one from the day he met her. King showed Syncere that he would love and protect her for the rest of her life . King made it his mission to get Syncere to give him a try and she finally did and it became the best decision she every made. Spending time with each other, Syncer finally let King know what happened to her when she was younger and King being King, he was still there for her. When Syncere past come back to haunt her, King was there, but Syncere also faced him and this made her start to heal more.
Everything about this book was good, from the beginning to the end. Syncere had to fight to heal and move on with her life. She finally feel in love with no doubts and got the best love a women would every want. I loved King, he was patient, kind, trustworthy and a man who knew what he wanted. King and Syncere together was relationship goals and I wanted more of them Robbi Renee wrote the hell out of this book and I cant wait for Symphony book!!

Brown Girl Book Geek Review

I cried, laughed, felt joy and celebrated with these characters throughout the entire story. Syncere and King were two beautiful souls independently, but together, they were love personified. They, more so Sincere, took me on quite the emotional roller coaster. However, given what she worked through, it was to be expected. I love the way King loved her, unconditionally, at their own pace. Even more so, I absolutely loved the relationship Syncere had with her family. The Prima's gave me so much life. As a person who didn't grow up with siblings, but instead grew up surrounded by cousins, I appreciated their relationship. I enjoyed this read from the first page to the last and I would absolutely read anything this author puts in front of me. Looking forward to reading more of her work.

Emotional healing

Oh man! This story is phenomenal. It touches on things people go through after a traumatic event, but the way King loves, protects, cares, and caresses her make way for Syncere to trust him and to trust his love for her. In turn, it provides the emotional healing she needs to heal from her pain, let go of her past, embrace her future, and fully divulge in the love she deserves. This story will make you feel, laugh, and cry. I love the relationship between Syn, Symphony, and Gma.

I related to this story on so many levels and hopefully, I'll get to experience an all consuming love and being in love with my true love. I highly recommend this story and look forward to reading about Symphony. Congratulations to the author on her debut novel. It is well written and I love that it makes you feel what you're reading, reading drawing you in and connecting with the story and characters. Speaking of characters, I love them, well except for Davis and Bianca. I can't wait to see Symphony's story turns out.

A Good Time Was.Had!!

When you are given such a gift of a good story you relish it and pass it along to friends. The writer gives us a picture of what romance, understanding, respect and true love really mean. We have to really likable characters that you can see yourself or someone you know.We get a heavy subject and it is not only handled and done with such taste but it leaves you knowing that a solution will happen. This was just wonderful and a joy to read and there are some.really fun times also.. Put this writer on your shelf!

I read this last year for the first time after hearing about it on the #TurnedOnSeries live where Wesleigh Siobhan and Emmanuel Ingram narrated a snippet of the book. I immediately 1-Clicked it and read the ebook. This year, Robbi Renee gifted me a copy of the audiobook where Wesleigh bodied the entire cast of characters, male and female. I enjoyed the book the first time I read it. But there was something about hearing certain parts of it read aloud that made them hit differently. I got teary-eyed and emotional, even with the interactions with Sincere's G-Ma. It reminded me of how my relationship with my grandmother was. Brava ladies! You did a phenomenal job.

4 ⭐️: Goodness me, King!!! What a beautiful man you are!!! Wow!! The way he loved and treated Syncere is beyond beautiful! Oh, how I pray for anyone to love another, the way King loved Syncere. Great story! Fast read! Good intimate scenes! This was my first time reading a book by Robbi Renee, and it won't be my last!
Only downside, I realized that by reading this book, I prefer books/characters told in the first person. Compared to the third person. But that's me!

Petty Shattered Soul was a 'AWESOME' reading experience. The story is so intriguing, I couldn't stop reading until I finished. The author portrayed the characters personalities with perfection. Syncere felt pain, doubt, mixed feelings until King came into her life. I love the way King loved and nurtured Syncere despite of her pain, doubt, and mixed feelings. OMG, the love between Syncere and King was so real. This is the best romance novel that I have had the privilege to read in a long time. Robbi Renee, I can't wait to read Symphony's story. This book is a excellent read.

Wow!!!

What a beautiful, complicated wonderful ride this was!! King is what every woman wants and needs! Syncere was so complex and layered. King peeled those layers back like an onion. The result was one of the best romance stories I've read in a long while! Kudos Robin Renee!

I loved this story. Alot of love and healing. The author truly took us through the eyes of what Syncere had to overcome. Finding her KING and the patience that this man had to love a woman and help heal a woman he did not bend. I say bend because Syncere did not BREAK!! TRIUMPH!

Beautiful story

I really enjoyed this story of hope and healing. Syncere and King truly had a storybook love story, complete with an evil villain who traumatized the heroine and a charming king who loved her through her healing. This book covered some heavy topics but was well worth the tears to get to the heartwarming special ending. I absolutely loved it and definitely recommend.
