I'd give this book a 100 stars but it's not possible so i give it 5 stars. I'm at a lack of words. Everything's better, the angst, the plot, the characters, the dialogue. THIS IS THE SH¡T!

My experience of reading this book was like going out in a cold night for an adventure.

This book is a junction where two old tales meet- Arabian Nights and Beauty and the Beast. This is a retelling but still stands out for its own individual beauty.

I am in absolute awe with how beautiful the writing is. The word play, the descriptions, the unfurling events, everything about this book held an enigmatic essence to it.

All the characters were grey. Each of them had their flaws, some terrible and some minute. Every corner and mouth held secrets. Death and blood tainted each lives and hands.

I would definitely recommend this book if you are search of one that will make you stay up all night in anticipation and afterthoughts.

Morals don’t exist in just right and wrong, and the world does not split into just good or bad. Nothing wrenches you back and forth between two dichotomies better than this.

The writing style is breathtaking. It’s the type of book that sits you down and does not let you up again until you are finished. Everything was so mesmerizing that I found myself bewitched by Shahrazad’s tales as much as the king was.

Words aren’t used as words here, but as methods of synesthesia, warped so that the air has taste, sound has texture, and motions play out in front of you as if you were the characters themselves. I cannot believe that this masterpiece is free.

I've wanted to read this one for a while and finally got around to it. Loved the writing style, it's so vivid and beautiful. The story was standard YA dark fantasy, which, sure. I don't read much YA anymore so why not, always fun to have a refresher on the genre. The novel, despite being dense plot-wise, is super easy to read.

I would perish if a show like this came out, would so watch it. Delicious.

I'm still riding the Dune Arabian setting/story wave here, and I still have Arabian Nights to read so I'll definitely come back to the genre at some point.

Tell me why the most poetically satisfying book i ever read was on Wattpad by an author who has long since abandoned her account 😭.

Each and every paragraph was so beautifully written, I could feel my pupils dilate.
It was so perfect I wish I could BE this book. It's a spin off actually loosely based on 1001 nights and boy oh boy was I HEAVY invested in this retelling. Like, why is this book not in a written form???

I remember reading this on wattpad and getting hooked at 3 am and refusing to go to sleep even tho my eyes were burning. No words can explain how much I love this, this feels like a “one thousand and one nights” retelling in a way, Coming from someone who grew up in a middle eastern household.

WTF?

This book is amazing...

Because I love beauty and the beast and heard Arabian tales all over my childhood. Now this crossover/reselling is fantastic.

I really envy kaloned’s writing style, it just flows. Such a nice premise, too, key themes and plots from Beauty and the Beast and 1001 Nights are greatly interspersed.

Finished it in one sitting and I’d do it again.

The story is a retelling of Shehrazad and Shehryar’s story with elements from beauty and the beast.
The story itself is alright. Nothing extraordinary BUT the writing is immaculate and I’d let the author write my eulogy so I can come back to life and die again because of how beautiful it is.
