Luana Ehrlich is a USA Today bestselling author, known for her award-winning Titus Ray Thrillers, Mylas Grey Mysteries, and Silas McKay Suspense. Her novels are clean reads with intriguing plots, fascinating characters, jaw-dropping twists, and occasional touches of humor and heart-warming romance.
Although she developed her passion for spy thrillers and mystery novels at an early age, she didn’t write her first novel until her husband retired from the ministry. Now, she writes from an undisclosed location, trying to avoid the torture of mundane housework, grocery shopping, and golf stories. However, she occasionally comes out of hiding to visit with her two grandsons or to enjoy a Starbucks caramel macchiato.
Luana and her husband, former missionaries to Costa Rica and Venezuela, are now residents of Norman, Oklahoma. Email her at author@luanaehrlich.com. She loves to hear from her readers!!
I'm a big fan of Luana Ehrlich books. I've read them all. This book is just a good as the others. Ehrlich does a great job of developing her characters. They have depth and you feel like you know them. And her stories, while woven together, can stand alone. She is great at giving you enough background information that you wouldn't be lost if you hadn't read the previous novels. Pick up this book. You won't be sorry
Ben in Love is the first book in this series and focuses on Ben and his love life, made complicated because his father is a U. S. Senator. At the senator's request, Titus becomes embroiled in a situation that could have international repercussions. Luanna Ehrlich has written an entertaining book. The plot is intriguing and the characters interesting. My only critique is this: there are numerous references to several Washington D.C. alphabet agencies, most of which I never heard (I'm not even sure they exist). There are so many agencies mentioned throughout this book, I had to continually refer to their definitions as explained early in the story. Ebook: 3 1/2 stars On a side note, I listened to the audio version of Ben in Love while riding my stationary bike. Let me say this. I hated the narrator's female voices. Audiobook: 2 stars
Ben in Love: A Ben Mitchell/Titus Ray Thriller (Ben Mitchell/Titus Ray Thrillers), my second read from author Luana Ehrlich. It's been over three years since I read One Day Gone (Mylas Grey Mystery #1) and this book makes me wonder how I lost track of this author. Reminiscent of Blair Howard’s Harry Starke books (that’s a compliment to both authors). Well-written and enjoyable, edge-of-your-seat Christian Suspense. I was given an Audible copy of this book in January of 2021 and am voluntarily reading & reviewing it, D.C. Newman's narration made the book fly by. As a believer, I particularly enjoyed the Christian sub-plot I look forward to reading more from this author, since I own 31 books by her that won't be a problem. The problem is what to read next?. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Ben in Love is a clean and well written book full of suspense. It has plenty of twists and turns to keep me guessing and characters that are interesting and have depth. I listened to the audiobook and kept finding ‘chores’ to do so I could keep listening without interruption. The narrator gave a wonderful performance. I’m looking forward to listening to more from this author. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook and have chosen to give my honest opinion.
Ben is pretending to be in love with Kamila, the Imam's daughter, in order to thwart her plot to have her father kidnapped & extradited back to Turkey. Following a birthday dinner for Kamila's mom, the fireworks display goes awry. First in the Ben Mi5chell series, told from Titus's viewpoint. I had a hard time shoehorning the timeline in with the Titus Ray series. Seems that it takes place between some of those books.
Walking The Political Tightrope This book is part of the Titus Ray series and the Ben Mitchell series. Both are told from the Titus Ray standpoint so they blend seamlessly. This is a great plot that involves political maneuvering, the CIA, and the FBI. The plot is tight and believable. Like all of this author's work, this is a clean and Christian story. There is no foul language, gore, or sex. The violence is minimal. These have been enjoyable books to binge-read.
CIA agents Titus Ray and Ben Mitchell participate in a joint CIA-FBI operation whose goal is to prevent a prominent Turkish national living in the US from being kidnapped in Virginia and taken back to Turkey. The operation requires Ben to initiate a relationship with the Turkish national's daughter, to the chagrin of Ben's father, Senator Elijah Mitchell, who must be kept in the dark about the operation. The novel speeds to a suspenseful climax as we learn whether the operation succeeds.
I read this book as part of the Dangerous Deceptions box set. I am glad Ben gets a book where he is the main character. Of course, Titus does show up but is not the main man. Ben's love life has a twist to it also which makes this story more interesting. There are other twists, intrigue & mysteries in the story. I love Ms. Ehrlich's writing & am anxiously awaiting the next book.
Titus is called away from his vacation by Ben’s father to find out why Ben is dating some ex-Turkish ruler’s daughter. Titus flies back to D.C to see Ben and gets himself involved in a kidnapping. The story is action-packed and well written. The narrator keeps pace with the story and kept me interested
Titus is called back to D.C. by a Senator who believes his son , who's is also a CIA agent, is dating the wrong person. The story has a few twist and turns but is very engaging. It's a rarity in that Luana always writes a clean well developed story and I look forward to her next story
I read this wonderful thriller by Luana Ehrlich a while back. It was in a boxed set called Dangerous Deceptions. Y'all, I have thoroughly enjoyed all of her spy books, and this particular character Ben is one of my favorites. I was glad he got his own book, and I look forward to his next story.
I have to admit I'm not a fan of the cover, to the point I almost didn't read the book. I'm glad I did though! I appreciate the moments Titus gets to share his testimony with others, especially those he finds difficult.
Ms Ehrlich writes such unputdownable novels, always with great human element. Titus is newly married but ends up in an assignment that was only supposed to be counseling a friend. Espionage is woven throughout this assignment. Old relationships are enjoyed and repaired.
Luana Ehrlich writes some interesting spy novels from a Christian perspective. I enjoy them because I know they will be clean and engaging. The only thing I didn't really like about this one was the title! Ha!
I had to fee sorry for Ben because of his father. I do not like the senator’s interfering. But this story was good and interesting, and I loved how Titus was willing to be there for Ben in anyway he could. Even if it meant jumping into something he didn’t know anything about.
I really enjoyed the characters. The story line makes me quite the page turner. The crazy thing is I already know new how it ended but I kept reading into the night.
I really do enjoy these stories! Action, intrigue and the characters are deeply interesting. So many novels have to use sex and lousy language to make an impression. Here the characters are real, thoughtful, complex and no gimics
