Will Remi survive being kidnapped by rogue agents? If so, what happens now? Where's her dad? How will the guys' families and Remi's mom take their unique relationship? Not to mention their friends. Things are bound to get tense and uncomfortable, especially with their new house guest… Will their relationship survive?
All these questions and more will be answered in this third installment of the Remington Carter Series.
**This is a new adult contemporary romance featuring an a group dynamic and an m/m relationship, violence, as well as other scenes that may not be suitable for all readers.
Emma Cole is a multi-genre romance author covering everything from dark and light contemporary to paranormal and sci-fi. Almost all of her stories are, or will be, from the reverse harem subcategory, and none of them skimp on the heat.
Again the story was really short, 100 Pages according to Amazon luckily it was on KU. Because I normally don’t spent 4 € on such a short book and after such a long wait. And now at the end even the author knows that her readers are not happy to hear that there will be another book, because the issues couldn’t been resolved in 100 Pages. And even though Amazon tells me otherwise, the first book and the third book had the same length whereas the second was longer (like 1.5 times book 1 or 3). I’m unhappy because I was waiting to hear from the father after Remi was freed from the kidnappers. But we get that at the end in a cliffhanger again. Then there was a lot of semxy times but no time to talk about the relationship at all. Nobody wants to talk about their issues. But this is not how a relationship works and they are adults.
That said, I did enjoy the book 50% of the time. So I will round up my rating to three stars, even though I’m no sure it deserves it.

I swear what a cliffhanger I cant belive I didnt check if it was a complete series before i started cos that's going to play on my mind now and beck is a idiot and so is rem if she listens to him grr hate waiting
What a great book! Well, great series! I was hooked from the beginning of each book, wanting to know what happens next. I think I devoured this series in absolutely no time at all. The way Emma entwines the character POVs so seamlessly makes everything so realistic. This was just such a nice series to dive into to break down my kick from the dark and bully books. It was good to just kick back and relax and read something that wasn’t going to twist my head. But this one definitely gave my heart a little twist. It’s a wonderful story of second chance love. And I loved all the guys. But Eli stole my heart. Book 3 is a bit awkward but it set itself back and I’m looking forward to book 4. I wanna know what happens next. I’m so anxious to see how the relationship between Beck, Ethan and Remi will play out.
I can not even with this ending. I mean really!! My heart is breaking for remi. I cannot believe he told her that crap. I need the last one like yesterday. Totally binge read this whole series in a day and it is a slow building romance but it is so worth it. I am about ready to cry with remy at this point!
I’m a chronic series reader. It’s rare for me to start a series until it’s complete. And I’m devastated that I can’t finish this now! This series has sucked me in and I’m dying to know what happens next! Love Remi and her small embarrassment of being with the guys. Love the guys and their alpha dirty talking ways.
I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. For my reviews of books 1 and 2, I put the books felt rushed, but that I liked the characters and the story. In this book, the book just felt off. I think it was the pacing. I didn't feel like anything was resolved. That the plot didn't move forward. I also didn't like the characters in this book. They felt different, almost disjointed. This book felt like a filler. I know that's harsh to say - I really do. But for me, it was lackluster compared to books one and two in comparison to the characters, their relationships, the plot, etc.
Man I’m so in love with this series! I’m a little frustrated with everyone not telling everyone else what’s going on in their heads but I’m glued to this space. I feel like this book was a bit of a lull between the storms or book 2 and 4 while Emma tried to hash out their relationship dynamics but that’s all relevant too. I think it’s pretty close to the truth of reality of what it would feel like to have multiple partners who are also partners with someone else and the way that jealousy would play into that. Anyway on to the next book!
I will admit that it has been so long that I have read book 2, and now that book 3 came out, I struggled a bit to connect with the characters. With that said, kudos to the author for including a bit of summary at the start of the book to serve as a refresher.
I feel that the title best summed up the book as it clearly (in my opinion) showed us clearly where their relationships are at after the kidnap episode. Intentions are made known and some feelings were hurt, so I think next book would probably touch on this subject.
Book 3 continues from the major cliffhanger, Remi finds herself at the mercy of a deranged individual. Tensions are high in this book. The turmoil has some serious repercussions for the group. Relations between Remi and Eli are strong and steady. Dylan and Remi find balance. But Ethan and Beck face an uphill battle. With the sudden return of her father, things escalate to a breaking point. Higher on the spice content. A good 3½ stars.
The story is great its got conflic and drama and plenty of hot scenes but when your writing episode type books you can't let forever go between each book. Once a month or every other month so it's not forgotten. Other wise noone will continue reading till its done.
Wow. The crazy drama. Personal and psycho related. After surviving being kidnapped you’d think life would calm down. But no. There’s something affected with each of the guys. Though I do have to say Beckett’s an idiot. Remi’s mom. Also an idiot. And now that twist at the end. Plus I have to add a point to my RH tally for the kidnapping trope
Ughh my heart is breaking for Remi and Beckett. I thought things would be more smooth sailing in the relationship. I wish there was a little more smut but with the short length of these books plus the plot I can see why it’s difficult. I was right about Remi’s dad coming back! I can’t wait to find out the details of how and where he’s been.
Remi is trying to figure out how to judge the men in her life. It doesn't help that she was kidnapped. To top it off, Beck is struggling with insecurities, and the twins' parents made it clear they dislike her. Her mom is now shown what's important, and it's not her. Can they make this work?
What a ride!!! Remi gets hit from left to right. The relationship between the guys seems to be getting stronger. Many bumps on their adventure but will they survive the feelings? Need the next book please.
Emma Cole is such a great writer and man I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down and was hooked from page one. Her stories just suck you right it and they’re are great! The men are awesome and seeing the relationship get better was neat. I look forward to reading the next book!
This is one of my favourite series and I love Emma’s work. Full of suspense, drama and plenty of steamy moments for all types of readers. I enjoyed the plot development in this addition and can’t wait to see what comes next
Just as good as the previous books! Love the way the relationships are developing; every couple has hiccups and the fact that Remi and the guys are having some makes it feel more grounded. That ending has me anxious for the next book!
This book will keep you in suspense on so many things. It will draw you in and make you fall in the with the characters more. Would definitely recommend.
I keep reading this series hoping it’ll be better yet I still end up with the same feeling of passiveness.
The last book ended in a cliffhanger, which the beginning of this book resolves. The focus for this book is their relationship, they already solved the issues of her dad and now the have to focus on them.
The basic question is how will this work? Everyone wants to but no one knows how to go about it, Ethan and Beckett are in that awkward stage of being together yet wanting to be with her…
I really liked how they all let loose and accepted their feelings as well as the others, specially Eli and Dylan, yet for me Beckett was a mess.
For once, I did not like the ending, I wanted to keep reading and find out Beck’s point of view yet it was cut short.
For me, this is not the best series I’ve read, and I can say all I want about it, but at the end of the day… I’m still here reading every book and wanting to know what japonés so that has to count for something.
