More Than Just a Nap

4.5 stars - A mostly lighthearted start to a series. Isabella has almost everything a girl could desire. Her best friends either live with her or in the apartment below. She has a job she likes. What she's missing is her brother, whose marriage to "that shrew of a wife" has put a rift between them, and a man of her own. The old adage of being careful what you wish for comes to dance a bit in this as Rafe leaves the shrew and takes up residence with their best friend, Cole, in the apartment below. What she doesn't realize is that Cole may be one of their best friends but his feelings for her are far from platonic.

I love the brother-sister rivalry, even if they go a bit overboard on occasion. It is charming and full of love... usually. I also loved getting to know a little about each of the other characters and watching Isa go from strictly friendly feelings to full-on love for Cole. By the end of the book, we learn who all of the tenants are (although we don't meet them) and little tidbits about each. Oh, and then there is Mr. Abrams. Kudos to him on many levels!

As for the not-so-lighthearted event, it's a bit scary but let me just say, every girl needs a friend like Mina. She's fierce and loyal and will take on any threat without hesitation! While Cole may have saved the day, her reaction was priceless!! I am REALLY looking forward to the next book. I'm voluntarily leaving a review of the ARC for this book.

Lovely and fun

Just My Brother's is the first book in the Sterling Place Series. This is a classic and nicely written best friend's younger sister/older brother's best friend story. They have both fall for each other but are too afraid to say or do anything about it. Luckily for them they have some really good friends who decide that they need to get together and letting the attraction take over from there.
This is a lovely and well written story. The characters are both people you would want to have as friends and the group of friends around them is great. I enjoyed this book.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

This was a great friends to lovers romance. Forbidden because Cole was best friends with Isabella's brother. Years ago it put her on the 'forbidden list'. The attraction was always there but he never crossed the line out of respect for his friend. Chemistry has a way of taking over so eventually he wasn't able to risk Isabella's seduction. Plenty of drama as they try to keep their relationship secret from her brother. Secrets, deception and more drama as the story plays out. Fake dates and one especially dangerous one only add to the danger and drama. The characters were likable and they were made for each other. I enjoyed the story but thought it drug out a little long before they confessed to their 'affair'. Was sweet to see such a close knit group of friends who supported and nurtured each other. I read a free book via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it. A happy ending with no cliffhanger.

Cole is the BFF of Rafe since college. They both billionaire's. The first time Cole saw Rafe sister Isabella it was a insta-love. Rafe saw how he looked at her and made him promise not to pursue her ever or he would kill him. Cole use to be a playboy in college. He used to sleep with a lot of girls, it was all about the chase and conquer. Cole is done with college now and decided to move in the building that Isabella and Rafe lives in. However, Rafe got married to his first girlfriend and moved out. Cole and Isabella as became best friend they do everything together. Isabella would tell Cole about the new guy that she's dating. He would watch he get ready for date all the while dying inside. You Cole and fell in love with her and had love her ten years but couldn't make a move, and what makes it more difficult for him is that their rooms above each other so he would hear her moving all the time.
Rafe marriage has imploded so he now back at the apartment. He's going through a nasty divorce and a custody battle with his wife. She's using his son as hostage in order to get his money after she was the one who cheated on him. Rafe is projected is life into his by try to micromanage hers. Cole roommate Boz is a notorious playboy and tried to get him laid all the time even though he's the only who knows that he's in love with Isabella a.k.a Isa. Every time Cole gets close to a woman he shut down because they're not Isa. Although in the he had some random hookups. Isa is currently single and she believes that she's sexually frustrated and she needs a one night stand to help her get over her writers block the twins Teddy and Mina tells her to hookup with Cole because he's a playboy. But that's not true Cole is looking for a meaningful relationship and doesn't do randoms. When Isa sees a girl flirting with Cole she was mad and stormed out. She didn't understand why it would bother her since he was best friend. But when Boz brings a girl over to the apartment for football night and she thought that he was flirting she saw red and left the apartment. You see she had been trying for weeks to seduce with no luck. Cole went after her and she was so childish, and mean. She said some hurtful things to him that everyone heard and quite frankly he should've dissolve the friendship right there and move out the building.
But Cole is such a nice guy that he kept on trying to make amends and even apologize for something he didn't do. Anyway she decided that she would listen to him in her apartment but as soon as they got there she pushed him on the wall and started kissing him. She begged him to f**k her for one night. He relented but he told her that if it was only going to be for one night that he wasn't going to f**k, he was going to make love to her and that she would never forget it. However, one night turned into many nights then Rafe started getting suspicious that she was having an affair but with a married man. Rafe wanted Cole to help him find out who the guy was. He also get their other friends to watch her too. It was a cat and mouse game between the sibling and Cole was caught in the middle Isa was going to teach Rafe not to mess with her life. Isabella hired actors to pose as her boyfriend because she knew that her brother was following her and she took Rafe all over the city of New York from lingerie store, bridal shop, restaurant, meat store to buy food for her lover and she talked loud enough so that he could hear what she was saying. She was even singing that she was pregnant. At the restaurant she three fake boyfriends showed up while Rafe and Cole watched. He was sick to stomach. She finally confronted him and told him to stop meddling in her life because she's a grown woman. Cole tried to come clean but Rafe tried to attack him so he laughed it off. There was an attempted rape in this book all because Rafe wouldn't allow his sister to live her life. I'm glad that they did get their HEA. Cole is such a great guy, there was parts of the book that I could not stand Isabella and she don't deserve him. I don't know her age but she acts childish if her friends gives her brother who is going through a time and that's not okay. Or because Cole would not sleep with her and he was only keeping his promise to his best friend.

Off Limits, But Bound by Limitless Love

No greater comfort or blessing is to be had than friends who are family, and family who are friends. For 30-year-old, gorgeous blue-eyed Coleson Bellamy, the only child of dysfunctional and disconnected A-list parents—his mom a soap opera star and his dad the CEO of a powerhouse Wall Street investment firm who chased any skirt he saw, grew up in the blackhole of his parents’ egos and selfish self-interests. And, while he did not grow up in a loving family, luck allowed him to find and to become a part of a loving group through his friendship with Rafe Sterling, his freshman and sophomore years’ roommate at Columbia. By their junior year, Cole and Rafe had moved into the second-floor apartment of the Sterling Place building, built by Rafe’s dad and anchored by a first-floor cafe and located in Greenwich Village. And with the move from Columbia’s dorm-life, they added an additional roommate, Sebastien “Boz” Swift, a free-spirited, tattoo covered musician and chick magnet.

Located above the guys' unit, in the third-floor apartment, a group of girls lived, including Rafe’s younger sister Isabella, a petite, nymph with dark eyes and long-dark hair passed on to her by her Japanese mother. Also occupying a bedroom in the apartment with Isa was Beatrice Hall, the beautiful, blond-haired, leggy childhood neighbor and best friend of Isa. And, coming and going from the third bedroom were the twins, Mina and Teddy Delgatto, firecrackers with golden-brown hair and golden-green eyes.

But, the happy mingling of friends and family had been disrupted, even during their Columbia years, with influence of Rafe’s controlling girlfriend, Margaret. So, soon after Cole’s and Rafe’s Columbia graduation, Margaret, Rafe’s first and only college girlfriend, whom his friends and sister came to label as “the awful shrew,” continued to press her desire of separating Rafe from the residents of Sterling Place. And finally, Margaret's plan of separating Rafe and his friends succeeds with Rafe and Margaret's marriage and her pregnancy. But, Margaret miscalculated her control over Rafe.

Now, with the start of a new year, Rafe has made some New Year's resolutions and has moved back in to the Sterling Place's second floor apartment with his friends, Cole and Boz, just like before. But things never remain the same. And, one change that had slowly evolved among the group of friends is the relationship—the forbidden, unspoken and never to take place relationship—between Cole and Isabella. Cole and Isa know the rules—nothing is to happen between Rafe’s best friend, Cole, and his sister, Isa. And it hasn’t. Not yet. The best friend and sister have been true blue and loyal and true to the Bro Rules. But, hearts don’t follow rules. Cole considers both Rafe and Isa his best friends. But now, his heart and body want more. Similarly, Isa is tired of bowing to her brother’s will when her brother's own poor judgement in selecting Margaret as girlfriend, then wife, has had such dramatic and traumatic impact on their friends and family. And, there is the treat of what Margaret will do to prevent Rafe and his family having contact with Nattie, the innocent son of Margaret’s manipulation of Rafe.

LA Pepper continues her powerful and engaging storytelling in the Sterling Place series. She weaves a passionate and sensuous tale of love and discovery that are filled with unexpected twists, turns and tunnels around the Sterling siblings and their friends as the reader explores the relationship of Cole and Isabella. And, while the Sterling family and friends experience challenges not always of their own making, they face them with love and determination and with only a few bumps and scrapes along their way to happiness and wholeness. This romance is a reading adventure well worth the reader’s attention. It reads well alone, but is even better with the knowledge that relationships will spin out of the group of friends who have become family.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review ARCS, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I bought a copy for my "read-again" titles.

I received a free ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.

Just My Brother's Best Friend is the first book in a new series by L.A. Pepper. Sterling Place is the street on which a group of friends live in an old apartment building. Colson (Cole) is a billionaire who comes from a famous family. Now he runs his Dad's company. He has been in love with the same woman for the past 10 years but she sees him a her best platonic friend. He is also Rafe's best friend.

Isabella's parents own the apartment building. She shares an apartment with her friends, Bea and Teddy, and more recently Mina, Teddy's twin. Her brother Rafe has an apartment on the floor below with Cole and Sebastian (Boz). Rafe moved out years ago when he got married. Now going through a divorce, he moves back into the apartment.

Isabella realizes she is jealous when Cole talks to other women, just hearing the possibility of him dating makes her flip. She tries to give him hints that she is interested, trying to prompt him to ask her out. Cole suffers quietly but doesn't fold. He made a promise to Rafe 10 years ago that he will never go after Rafe's sister, a promise Cole plans to keep.

Isabella finally makes a move on Cole and she won't give up. Finally he crumbles when she kisses him. They both agree to keep their "relationship" a secret from everyone especially Rafe. Will they be able keep the secret considering they live with and socialize daily with the others?

This group of friends is fun. They have a history together. They are all uniquely different but are a tight knit group. It looks like the others will be the future books in this series. Cole and Isabella are a perfect couple of friends turned to lovers. They know each other's secrets and fit together as a couple. They have true chemistry.

Isabella is a strong female. When she sets her mind on something she goes for it. She also isn't afraid to stand up to her brother and friends. Cole is quite the gentleman. His love for Isabella is deep. He treats her very well and puts her and his relationship with his best friend, Rafe ahead of his own happiness.

I have been a fan of L.A. Pepper's other series. Book one in this new series is a great start. I enjoy the characters and can't wait to read more.

Wow, this is a great start to the Sterling Place Series. L.A. Pepper gives another great 5 star gem.
The characters are realistic, likable, and diverse group of friends that live in the same old building. They are a close knit group that are protective and supportive of each other dreams. Cole, Isabella, Rafe, Bea, Teddy, Mina, and Sebastian are the kind of friends you want to have.
This story follows Cole and Isabella’s forbidden journey to love and happiness. Cole is Rafe’s best friend and has been for years. Isabella is Rafe’s little sister. Cole has promised Rafe he would not go after his little sister and because he is a great friend and follows the Bro code. For 10 years Cole has been in love with Isabella and her platonic best friend instead. When Rafe moves back into the building while he is going through his divorce things get complicated. Rafe becomes suspicious of their relationship and spying on to see who Isabella is dating with the help of their friends to do it.
Isabella begins to feel neglected by Cole and realizes she has feelings for him. Isabella jumps at Cole and they hide their relationship. They are a great couple because they fit together quite well and their chemistry is hot. Cole and Isabella bring out the best versions of themselves even though they are each flawed.
Months of sneaking around, fake dates to throw big brother off their trail, and one award show later. Will they make their relationship last when it becomes public knowledge? Or will they crash and burn before Rafe finds out that Cole broke the Bro Code?
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good friends to lovers romance. I can’t recommend this author enough. She has become one of my absolute favorites and all of her books are worth a read.

I read most of this in the car and it really kept me entertained. It was a super short yet cute read about two best friends and how they find a way to be even closer than they already are. From the fierceness of Isabella to the charming Cole, it was hard not to love them.

I did have my issues with Rafe (Isabella's brother) being a right pain in their bum and being so judgementally overprotective, but given what he was going through at the time, I also give him the benefit of the doubt. 🙄

Overall I found the story very well written. It was super cute how they had such a solid friend circle and I love how well everyone (especially Isabella and Cole) openly communicated. They communicated very maturely and just in a way I so rarely see in rom-com books nowadays. It usually is always drama first, talk later.

It did feel a little draggy near the end when it was more about Rafe's overprotectiveness than how Isabella and Cole were slowly forming their relationship. Because I remember at one of the last, if not the last, sexy scenes they suddenly dropped the "love" bomb and it was like okay?! I mean it's a given because they've been friends for so long but also... what happened in between!?

I also thought the ending was super random with the sudden introduction of an actual creep and Rafe suddenly turning a new leaf. Maybe it would have made more sense if all the "main" drama didn't happen at the very end with only about 20 pages for everything to unfold and be resolved. I also felt like the ending focused a bit more on Boz in the end, when he was more or less a missing character for most part... so it did leave me wanting more. Which I suppose makes sense since the book is a series. Welp, I guess I just have to read the rest. 😉

All in all a very sweet and easy read! I enjoyed it. :)

The wealthy Sterling siblings, Rafe and Isabella, were very competitive even though they were, two years apart. Isabella always did want to, be like her older brother. Rafe had always been the studious geeky kid, out of his element kid. But he had been terribly in love with, his sister’s girlfriend, Bea from across the street, she never noticed him. So, he thought. But, he has two great friends, Cole and Sebastian (Boz), who help him forget her by, getting him to meet new girls, in college.

However, Isa never does take to her, warning Rafe she’s a gold digger. Of course, he doesn’t want to listen. At this time, they are all living in the apartments that their father had bought for them, in NY. Isa had her three bedroom, and Rafe had his. In Isa’s there was Isa, Bea, and Teddy along with her twin, when she is in town, Mina. In Rafe’s apartment there is Rafe, Cole, and Boz. Cole fell in love with, Isa the first day he saw her. Rafe must realize this, and puts in place, “the hands off my sister policy.”

From that day on, he became Isa’s best friend, Rafe however, bailed on all of the for ten years. His wife, Margaret, didn’t want him around them, or visa-versa. When Rafe shows up out of the blue, ten years later, expecting to dictate the floor plan for, Isa’s love life, it has her seeing red. How long can she really keep it a secret, and is it worth it?

There are a few twist, and turns. This is quite funny in many parts, and in other parts witty. There is a part that can trigger, unwanted emotions toward the end so, be aware. I did want to say, pretty fun characters. Free on Kindle Unlimited.

Even though the books can be read as a sort of stand alone I advice to read them in order. Not only so you know about the other characters but also can swoon about all the happy endings and the love that is the key to the books.
This is the first one in the series where we get to meet everybody.
Cole who's in love with isa since he saw her, but the bro code forbids him to act on it. Her brother Rafe is his best friend and knows he slept around a lot in college.
We meet Boz, the struggling rockstar.
The twins mina and teddy and Bea.
The girls all share an Appartment and cole an Boz share one as well. Only Rafe lives somewhere else with his wife and son.
Then Rafe comes telling he split up with his wife. The friends try to cheer him up. But isa feels a bit left out now everything revolves around Rafe and even her best friend Cole hasn't have much time for her.
She starts to realise she's fallen in love with him. And she tries to seduce him to scratch the itch of being single. They then try to get the other one jealous. A lot of things happen so they can't be open about it and some crazy stuff happens when they keep seeing eachother in secret. They even have to fake both having another partner
In the end a terrible/traumatic thing happens and it will bring them their happily ever after.

🌀🌀ONE EXCELLENT ADVENTURE🌀🌀
Ripping rafters reggie! Pepper just rang my bell, cranked my tractor and blew my boat clean out of the water with this dazzling dynamo, grabbing your heart from the start and holding steady till the end, jetting this hot little rocket to new heights. Escapades and serendipity are stalled as secrets revealed, tempers flare and stunning realizations discovered as pulverized perimeters and crossed lines solidify while limitations are stretched and dissolved, raising the stakes, calling the shots and boundaries crumble, blasting this sizzling sweetness to life beautifully. The attraction and chemistry ignites with such intoxicating intensity, showcasing boundless emotions and infinite affection, kicking this jewel into a tailspin with mind-blowing results, uniting them to one another perfectly. The characters are complex, genuine and realistic with traits and qualities that balance and blend, with amazing depth and diversity, adding enough spice for an extra punch. Throw in 100% on point realism, painting graphic scenarios so colorfully descriptive with vivid detail its like you're living it with them instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Remarkable job Pepper, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.

The perfect way to begin a series is with the important characters in the middle of their drama, giving insight for what's to come. Coleson Bellamy is best friends with Rafe Sterling, the brother of his love interest, Isabella Sterling. Long ago, Cole promised to keep his hands off Isa as part of the pathetic bro-code, begging the question of who could ever have thought that it was a good thing! For ten long years, Isabella and Cole have been the best of platonic friends, even if Cole's dreams haven't been quite platonic. Rafe was back home, living at their apartment building on Sterling Place, after finally breaking up with his manipulative shrew of a wife, Margaret. When the first thing he sees is Isabella sleeping peacefully in Cole's arms, he jumps to the only conclusion his mind would allow and it all breaks loose! Cole knew he shouldn't act on his love for Isabella, but he has no choice when she pushes him up against the wall! Hiding their relationship from Rafe, as well as their roommates, becomes humorous and troublesome. Just My Brother's Best Friend is a charming story of a group of best friends, living in the same building, navigating life's vagaries and discovering their futures. A very auspicious start to the Sterling Place series!

This is a great love story about friends who struggle to find a way to be a couple. There is a group of friends that live in the same building - one with the ladies and the other with the guys who have known each other for many years. Cole is best friends with Rafe and grew up together and lived together until he married and then moved back when he divorced. Isabella is Rafe’s younger sister and has become extremely close with Cole over the years never noticing that Cole has fallen in love with her for 10 years who was sworn to not date any of the girls from their group. These two are in love and when they finally admit it they have a relationship under the radar of all their friends as they are always doing something together as a group. Rafe is one over protective big brother and causes issues for Isabella when he thinks she is dating a married man. I love the way Isabella gets Rafe for meddling in her life and respect her privacy. Cole and Isabella are a beautiful couple that finds a way to make what they want, each other, work! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a great love story! Right out of life. Isabella and Cole are best friends and Cole is in love with her since ages. So is Isabella with Cole. To simplifie and complicate this situation they are living in the same appartement building with four of their best friends. Then her brother Rafe is getting divorced and comes to live with Cole and Sebastian. Her very protective brother and Coles best friend comes to live with them!
So when Isabella and Cole are finally admitting their love to each other the bro-code comes in between them... let the games begin...
Such lovely characters in this story! Everybody from the dry cleaners to the inhabitants of the house.
The dry humor is wonderful. I had to laugh loudly several times about Coles thinking about Rafe, the elevator and live as such. He is simply adorable!
With hope to hear about Rafe and Bea soon I am leaving you with a very very good read which really is worth it.

Isabella Sterling lives at Sterling Place with a core group of good friends. They've crafted a family that is supportive and caring, compassionate and kind. Isa has loved her friend Coleson Bellamy for a long time. The only problem is, Cole is also her brother Rafe's best friend. Throughout the book we get to know bits and pieces of all the friends--Sebastian, Mina, Teddy, Cole, and Rafe--but mostly we learn about Isa and Cole's friendship and the secret love they have for each other. I was expecting a little more fireworks when Rafe discovered the two were a couple, but it was overshadowed by another event in the book. I also expected a little more with the proposal since these two have been pining for each other for years. At any rate, for me this story was more about how Isa and Cole's relationship was built on a solid foundation that will last. I can't wait to see who comes next in the series...it's going to be a series, right? I need more about Sterling Place!

Isabella Sterling and her brother Rafe own a mansion called Sterling Place, that was turned into apartments. Isabella lives with her best friend Bea and the twins Mina and Teddy. Isabella writes about being single in the city and the dating scene.

Cole Bellamy runs his father’s company and he and Boz, a musician, live in another apartment in Sterling Place. They used to share it with Rafe until he married Margaret. Margaret didn’t like Isabella or any of the friends so Rafe has not been around a lot. Cole could live anywhere but he stayed at Sterling Place because he has had a crush on Isabella for the last 10 years. She is off limits as his best friend’s younger sister. So far, he has settled for being her best friend.

Rafe’s marriage is now over and he is back at Sterling Place. Now that Rafe is back, will Cole and Isabella remain best friends? Will Cole ever let Isabella know how he really feels?.

Cole and Isabella are old friends who have secretly wanted each other for quite a while now. The biggest obstacle in their way is Isabella's brother Rafe who is fresh out of a painful marriage and told Cole a long time ago that his sister was out of limits for dating. It's no secret that I think the Bro-Code is generally a dumb misogynistic trope (why would a girl's brother have any say over who she can date ?) but I liked the long-standing pining thing that Cole had going on here and Isabella's eventual way of sticking it to Rafe. And I guess Rafe's reasoning was a bit more palatable than the usual protect-my-sister-from-a-sex-god-because-she's-so-innocent since he was afraid that dating inside their friends' group could ruin their friendships for good. I mean, it was a reasonable fear, it happens, I have known some lovely people who I haven't seen since they broke up with someone else I know.

It's an entertaining story with a dual point of view and some sexual content. I read it as part of a boxed set from Booksprout.

Content: Attempted sexual violence

Cole and Isabella grew up together. Cole and Rafe (Isabella's brother) have always been best friends. After Rafe gets married and moves away Cole and Isabella also become closer and best friends. Cole has been in love with Isabella all these years but never said anything due to the fact Rafe made it clear none of his friends will date his little sister. Rafe comes back into the picture as he is getting a divorce. Cole and Rafe spend more time together and Isabella has lost all the time she gets with Cole now. She realizes that she is in love with him and wants his attention and to be with him. Can Isabella get Coles attention to make him hers? Does Cole let his feelings for Isabella show and let her make a move on him? What will Rafe do if he finds out these two are in love with each other? Is there a HEA?

Cole is Isabella's brother's best friend and he also become her friend. However she also developed feelings for him. Cole was in love with Isabella but didn't think he would ever get a chance with her because of his friendship with her brother. When their friends conspire to get them hooked up the results have them giving into to temptation with each other. They don't want to reveal thei relationship to anyone yet so they try to sneak around but when her brother tries to snoop into her life things get complicated. Will Cole and Isabella get their happy ending? What will her brother do when he finds out about them?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Cole and Isabella had been platonic besties forever. Rafe, Isabella's brother and Cole are best friends and Rafe has always told Cole to watch out for and to keep his hands off his sister which he has even though he's been in love with her for the last 10 years.
So Rafe is going through a divorce and moves back into the building with Cole and another roomie Boz. On another floor is Isabella and her roomie's. They are all best friends and hang out together.
This story is a slow burn get together of Cole and Isabella. There is some funny stuff that goes on. Also sweet how protective all of them are with each other.
What I have a problem with is all the talk about Rafe and his divorce and how Cole can't be with Isabella, the bro code. It goes on and on.

I received an ARC for my honest opinion
3 1/2 stars',

LA Pepper never disappoints I absolutely loved this story. These characters were fun right from the start. There friend group is solid with the ribbing, sarcasm, and absolute trust and support they have in and for one another.
Siblings Rafe and Isabella have a hilarious competitive relationship and the sweetest love for each other. And right in the middle is Cole.
All of Isa's girls think Cole is the one but she insists they are just friends. Rafe has made his boys uphold their end of the bro-code
which means neither Cole or Boz aka Sebastian can go out with Isa. But Boz is a player and just like Isa Cole swears their just the best kind of platonic friends. But there is so much more fun inside and I can't wait for the next book.

Oh my gosh I love a good brother’s best friend book and L.A. has a 5+ star book with her latest book. Cole is to die for he is super sweet and totally in love with Isa! Isa is so lucky to have him as a best friend and when she finally realizes that she has feelings for him all bets are off. Then you throw in Rafe which is Isa’s older brother, and he has made it clear none of his friends are to fall for his sister this just sweetens the storyline. Plus, you have a great group of friends who are all dedicated to one another.
Loved this storyline and the way we meet all the characters and learn a little about each one which sets the stage for future stories. I won’t give any spoilers, but L.A. has started this series off right and I can’t wait to see who’s next in line to find love.

Just My Brothers BFF by L.A. Pepper is an entertaining, enjoyable, steamy with a roller coaster ride of emotion..a friend to lovers romance story of Cole and Isabella..Cole is a billionaire, rich, handsome and powerful with women panting after him…but the only woman he wanted was untouchable..Isabella is a gorgeous woman who felt something to her platonic BFF Cole the BFF of her brother telling him that shes off limits. Their friendship was making her brother suspicious.specially now that they secretly dating after the house party when Isabelle got jealous to the other women pawning to Cole that time they know that there something more than the friendship that they have. But Cole promised her brother he would NEVER break the Bro code.but can you teach your heart who can you love?

Cole has been in love with Isabella for 10 years. For her, he is just a friend. Until someone mentions his love life to her. Then, all feelings she didn't know she had break loose...
I love the story, love not only the chemistry, but also the true friendship and pure love between Isa and Cole, the friends' characters - the overbearing love-weary brother Rafe; the struggling rock star Boz; the feisty fun twins Teddy and Mina-stop-calling-me-Willie; calm, cool and collected Bea. This crew is a hoot and I'd love to be part of such a tight group of friends.
This story has it all: it makes you laugh, makes you sad, angry, proud, sigh and all other emotions in between.
Can't wait for the next one.

This story is good, funny, beautiful, and interesting. This story starts off as a little slow but picks up and now I'm sad it's over. Cole has a crush on his best friend sister for a long time. He is sweet, protective, funny, and caring. He is a amazing and handsome man. He is a businessman. Isabella is a mother hen of the group of friends. She is beautiful, funny, sweet, and caring. She is a writer. She is starting to have feelings for her brother best friend. This story is told in dual POV which is awesome. Pepper writing is done beautifully and flows throughout the story without any problems. The writing will pull you in Pepper world. I love it. Amazing work again L.A.Pepper!

Just My Brother’s BFF is a fun, sexy and enjoyable book to read! Isabelle and Cole are down to earth characters and when Isabelle’s perspective changes from the way she see Cole-everything changes...in a crazy and comedic way at times. They are all surrounded by their friends and they make things just as interesting. I can not wait to read more about them as well. LA Pepper has another great read in this book and I can’t wait to see who she writes about next in this series. If you have ever read another of her books and enjoyed it you are sure to enjoy this one even more. LA Pepper is fast becoming one of my new favorite authors to read from!!

Cole & Isabella

A good novel to read of Cole & Isabella's challenges of taking the first step from friends to lovers, keeping said affair under raps so her brother Rafe doesn't find out & "kill" Cole for breaking the Bro-code. A close call brings their secret out in the open & a surprising stamp-of-approval from Rafe, gives Cole & Isabella their HEA. The enjoyment of reading this novel is how these two trick Rafe into believing they are not anything more than long-time friends until the truth comes out. Just the right amount of loving, teasing & HEA, leaving the reader happy on how things worked out in the end.

A friends-to-lovers romance with the obstacle of the bro code.
The main story is nice, as well as that of the secondary characters; the only problem is that after a while the fact that Isa and Cole have to hide even though they love each other just so as not to upset Rafe becomes unrealistic. I understand that Rafe has a trust issue after the divorce, but it is absurd that he has to argue about his sister's social and love life. Even more absurd is that he accepts a complete stranger as his sister's boyfriend but has reservations if his sister's boyfriend were a friend of his, whom he has known for years.
