Pepper Reign is only weeks away from giving birth to her first-born child when the biggest challenge of her career rears its head. She’s been charged with finding a unicorn for a spoiled teenager.
Problem is, Pepper’s not sure that she wants to hand over a magical creature to the kid. When she reveals this to Betty, her grandmother, the old woman almost has a cow. Betty tells Pepper that has to find the unicorn, and if she doesn’t, then something very bad will happen in Magnolia Cove.
Pepper is tempted to blow off Betty’s concerns, but when bad things begin to unfold, she realizes that her grandmother might be right after all.
Now Pepper has to find a unicorn and stop an evil presence from taking over her town before the baby is born. Can she do it? Or will Pepper and Magnolia Cove wind up in worse shape than when they began?
Hey, I’m Amy, I write books for folks who crave laugh-out-loud paranormal mysteries. I help bring humor into readers’ lives. I’ve got a Pharm D in pharmacy, a BA in Creative Writing and a Masters in Life. And when I’m not writing or chasing around two small children (one of which is four going on thirteen), I can be found antique shopping for a great deal, getting my roots touched up (because that’s an every four week job) and figuring out when I can get back to Disney World. If you’re dying to know more about my wacky life, here are three things you don’t know about me. —In college I spent a semester at Marvel Comics working in the X-Men office. —I worked at Carnegie Hall. —I grew up in a barbecue restaurant—literally. My parents owned one. If you want to reach out to me—and I love to hear from readers—you can email me at amyboylesauthor@gmail.com. Happy reading!
Wow the excitement and suspense that this one book held within its pages and spine was truly something extraordinary. Our most favorite Sweet Tea Witch, Pepper is about to pop, and by pop I mean have her baby! She is trying her hardest to just do her daily work at the Familiar Place but action really does find her anywhere she goes. Instead of resting for the very end of her pregnancy she is about to thrown in an absolute whirlwind. While Pepper is literally doing her job and minding her own business one of the oldest families of Magnolia Coves seeks her out and makes a demand. This demand is something only Pepper can fulfill, the Chandler family demands Pepper to find them a Unicorn and then pair said Unicorn to their daughter. Now first of all they seem very demanding and second of all even the fearless Betty Craple is scared of the Chandler’s. The Chandlers seem to have a super extraordinary power the rest of the magic of folk of Magnolia Cove do not possess. No one, not one single person can deny them. When the Chandlers make a request the art of free will basically gets thrown right out the window. Pepper and the gang must get to the bottom of this before it all gets out of hand. Of course I never ever give a spoiler but I will say everything gets out of hand before it gets better. This installment is so wildly exciting and really gets involved in the pure magic powers of these amazing characters. We discover more about magic artifacts, tons about power, and even opening portals into other magic lands. If you absolutely love the action The Sweet Tea witches provide this installment really might be the best one yet!
This is my 4th attempt at trying to post a review for this book. My cotton-pickin kindle kicked off the review page before I could hit submit. Hopefully I won’t end up with 4 different reviews. I really enjoyed the book, but with Pepper expecting the baby any day, I think I felt “baby bubble” sympathy for her. While there is a spell apparently to make husbands do whatever you ask of them, it was unfortunately not disclosed. 😂 Hugo and Pepper have their first disagreement, and I now know where the unicorns live. (For next time my 5 yr old granddaughter asks me if she can have one) Quick easy read to enjoy on a day you’re stuck inside. 😍
Pepper Reign, nearing the birth of her firstborn, is caught up in a struggle over finding a unicorn for a spoiled brat. But Betty insists Peeper go against her inclinations before the brat's father does something more sinister.
This Witch & Wizard Mystery is admirable. It was challenging to read because of the evil in this story. The pressure placed on the main character to corrupt herself is enormous. The threat against family, friends, and the citizens of Magnolia Cove is palpable. Ultimately, the story comes to a virtuous conclusion, as should be expected.
Happy the baby was born but sad it was just a girl. I felt that the Crapple family needed a boy born to it finally, so I thought the author would take my suggestion about Pepper having twins, a boy and a girl. The girl would take after her father where the boy would take after the mother and the Crapple family for once. After all it not unusual for a wolf to have multiple babies born into their family with female was human or not. Well all ready done maybe next birth or one of the cousins though I still prefer it was Pepper.
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Pepper rain is a witch and a small magical town. Her husband actual is half witch half werewolf. He’s also the leader of his pack which happened to just occurred recently. Pepper is pregnant and about to give birth. A customer has a unique requested for her in this book. Read on and find out what it is and all the action and thrills that follow. Always an entertaining read.
This one was so good! A favorite in the series for me. I loved the tension created by the Chandler family, and just how much power they had and how it had corrupted them down their family line. The imminent arrival of Pepper and Axel's baby also added another level of urgency to the plot. Normally these books are all about everyone coming together to solve the magical problem, but we weren't able to see that in this case due to the Chandlers, which made for some exciting moments. Definitely a star of the series and I highly recommend this one.
I love this series and this book was no exception. I don't know Amy Boyles will ever run out of material, but I hope not and I hope she keeps writing Sweet Tea Witch Books. I love the Craples and Pepper and Axe Reign are the best couple ever. Hugo makes the best familiar but in this book Pepper had a unicorn named Lavinia as her familiar for a while as well. But Lavinia had to go home which is the best anyway.
Pepper and the gang are amazing, and I love the way they are all in for each other. This puzzler has a lot of moving parts, and the preliminary skirmishes are clever and serve to increase tension. The climactic battle does not disappoint, and the hero riding in to assist at the eleventh hour is perfect. I continue to enjoy this series and look forward to Pepper's and Axel's new reality.
Every one of these books are a great read. When I saw I could get this one today I got quite excited it feels like I have waited for ages for this particular one to find out what sex this amazing baby was going to be and that kept me going right to last few pages. I recommend the full series if you like cosy mysteries about witches
This was an interesting story. Not my favorite in this series or by this inkslinger but, it was interesting. The end result is what counts and the baby finally makes it's grand entrance at the very end. I recommend this book and series. I can't wait until the next book is out.
Amy Boyles does it again. I couldn't put this book down. Pepper is asked to find a uniform for a spoiled teenager. She wants to refuse but finds out that Etta's family in known for controlling others. Of course Pepper tries to fight. She's also devoted have her baby soon. Will she be able to keep her family and the unicorn safe before the baby is born?
Southern Beginnings (Sweet Tea witch Mysteries book 19
This was another WInner. I am so happy she finally got her a new daughter and took care of the animals. I highly recommend this series and all her books she has written. I have read over 35 books of hers and loved everyone of them. Once you start her books you can't put them down. Diana Romano
The latest in the series keeps the magic alive, when Pepper is forced to find a unicorn to pair with a bratty teenage witch all hell breaks loose. Filled with the usual crazy characters and more magic than you can shake a stick at you will love this book of magical shenanigans and don't forget there's always Hugo, great read not to be missed, Baz.
I loved this book so much! I wasn't sure how Pepper was going to get out of that terrible situation but she figured it out just like she always does! I can't wait to read about her and Axel being parents now!
Adel and Pepper are one of my favorites. I love the rest if the characters too. Well the good ones anyway.. Can't wait to watch Guests personality grow. Thanks Amy for all you create for us.
I read so many books/series that when a new book comes out I usually have to refresh myself on what it’s about. There are a few that just stick out. This is one of them! Read it you won’t be disappointed!!
The lengths some people will go to for their evil wants. I couldn't put this one down because of all the emotions, mysteries, and the impending birth. Now I can breathe.
Family is always the most important thing in your life hold on to them and fight for them but do not lose yourself or your morals. Power can make monsters out of the best of people.
I am loving these Books and these characters and especially the story line they are so good ! I am enjoying the story line of these characters and how they deal with situations as they come up and solve them.
A wild ride...a crazy family..oops, two crazy families....one a happy kind, the other psychotic. All comes together with a unicorn on top! This was another great part of a must read series!!

The characters keep coming but unfortunately not all are good! This was a great read that I recommend to anyone who wants to find another world to explore for their next adventure.
