"It's time to stop believing that confidence is reserved for the lucky ones, the popular ones, or the "pretty ones." Confidence is available to each and every one of us." ARE YOU READY TO DO WHAT IT TAKES TO CREATE IT?
On the whole, I liked this book, but some aspects weren't for me. I couldn't relate to much of Erika's backstory and found some of her financial decisions, including investment in expensive courses and retreats, living on credit cards, etc., perplexing. While this likely helped with relatability to some readers and showed her ability to overcome challenges, it didn't connect with me. I also didn't realise Erika was a social media entrepreneur/personal coach when I picked up the book from the library, and I am personally not that interested in this whole scene. (If you are, the end of the book invites you to sign up for her private coaching if you "are ready to go deep and meet like-minded queens in the Sistahood", which is not my vibe). Also, the advice sometimes felt repetitive and derivative. However, the book had some good points - I really like the title and how Erika is honest and upfront about confidence being an ongoing process rather than some easy, final destination. The five steps made sense, and the general message about courage and learning from mistakes resonated with me. I gained a few valuable takeaways to remind myself of as I try to continue building my own confidence.

10 STARS 🌟 This is HANDS DOWN the best book I've read in a very long time. I was so "IN IT" that after reading her book I have been listening to her podcasts for the last 2 days. The book is so easy to read because she keeps it real. I felt like she was actually speaking TO ME...like one of my best friends, telling me EXACTLY what I needed to hear. All the tools that you need to #FWOT and be the amazing woman that you are is in this book. ❤
She makes me feel so inspired and so excited to dig deep and get to know my true self.
As I closed the book I just felt....LIGHTER! I cant say enough about this book. I think I've tokd every woman I have talked to "read this book" "check out The confidence chronicles podcasts" lol WE NEED TO HEAR THIS SH*T
This book has felt like a slap in the face (in the best way possible). I took this book really slow because I genuinely wanted to soak in every word and put into practice what it was asking me to do and reflect on. I have scribbled all over my mirror the key points I don’t want to leave behind because this book is POWERFUL. I don’t just want to move onto the next book and forget what I’ve read, I want to make this is a practice. The title doesn’t lie, but the book is BRILLIANT. here’s to showing up as the best me possible 🤍
This book is a game-changer. As someone who used to say that I'm just not a confident person, I've realised how damaging it was to keep seeing myself like that. This book gives clear, practical advice on confidence as a practice. Erika is a no-nonsense, down-to-earth woman who has actually walked the path that she guides us on in the book. I've tried other books on this topic before, but this is the first one to actually hit home and change something within me. I know that I'm a different person after reading this book and I look forward to developing even further as I put Erika's advice into practice.
This book is a game changer. I am lucky enough to have Erika as my coach and she has changed my life. I highly recommend grabbing this book and devouring the contents and doing the work - you'll never look back. Also listen to her podcast (The Confidence Chronicles), follow her on social, and join the Sistahood.
Ive been listening to Erika's podcast for a couple years now & what casually started as just another podcast turned into therapy for me in many ways. And it wasn't comfortable (again, just as therapy isnt because if its only comfortable, you're probably not growing). I appreciate Erika's honesty, vulnerability & humility & Im thankful to have discovered this book.
A fun and easy read. (Love the magazine layout!!) While I'd already consider myself confident, Erika brings up some great points to follow at times when you're a bit low. Recommend!
I didn’t get the hype for this book. I had to force myself to finish it and it was a struggle. Author constantly references Gary V and Tony robbins and recycles catchphrases. The book is repetitive and lacks any real substance.
This book was a great eye opener. It helped me inquire, "what is stopping me from living my best life?" Confidence isn't something we are born with, it's something we practice on a consistent basis. It helps me get more in touch with my feelings without judgement. This is a great book that comes with a lot of helpful bitch slaps.
