FBI Special Agent and single mom Laura Frost, 35, is haunted by her talent: a psychic ability which she refuses to face and which she keeps secret from her colleagues. While Laura gets obscured glimpses of what the killer may do next, she must decide whether to trust her confusing gift or her investigative work.
25 year-old female twins turn up murdered, on the same day, in different parts of Minnesota. Could it be a coincidence?
Or could it be the work of a diabolical serial killer?
FBI Special Agent Laura Frost is summoned to solve the case—yet her psychic power floods her with an array of confusing—and urgent messages. She may have just one chance to save the next victim. But is what she is seeing accurate?
A page-turning and harrowing crime thriller featuring a brilliant and tortured FBI agent, the LAURA FROST series is a startlingly fresh mystery, rife with suspense, twists and turns, shocking revelations, and driven by a breakneck pace that will keep you flipping pages late into the night.

Already Trapped By Blake Pierce This continues the story of our psychic FBI agent and the side stories, too. I wasn't going to read anymore of the series if she didn't tell her partner about her psychic visions. The last sentence in the book determined my reading list.
I’m torn on if I’m continuing the series. I said after the last book that I wasn’t going to unless she told Nate her secret. Well the book is done and he doesn’t know, but supposedly she’s on the way to tell him. I doubt it. I HATE when characters over think and obsess and keep talking about the same stuff over and over. Nate. Lacy. Amy. Drinking. It feels like forced drama on repeat. Bleh. I think I’m done.
Also, could they have not found an American narrator for the series?? I know I said this with the first book, but come on! The narrator does a fine job, but she’s British. None of the characters are British. They were in Wisconsin for this book and the Wisconsinites sound like they’re Irish. It’s just ridiculous. They could’ve found someone that matched the book a bit better.
3rd book of the series and it has now become monotonous. I like the continuity of the plot across the books so far but the murders are now increasingly being solved through her gift. Individually, the books are quite fast-paced but if you consider the overall story, it is quite slow paced ~ like, how many more books should i go through before she tells Nate her gift? Is Nate now her romantic interest? What's going to happen to Amy now?
Also, I find it annoying that murders gets solved a few teeny chapters at the end of the book and usually lacking a bit of a background POV story of the culprit as to what went wrong that made him/her kill.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Laura and Nate have always worked well together, however, her denial in telling him how she knows things will happen or how she knows who is the culprit is driving them apart. After her desperate call for him to help to save the little girl from her father's harm, their relationship has reached a standstill, one she knows will only change if she tells him all about her visions, even though, she is not clear how they really come to her. The way the story is written, the suspense, and the angst to find the criminal perpetrator, just puts the reader at the edge, and once you start reading you do not want to stop. I downloaded a free copy of this book through BookFunnel and this is my honest opinion.
FBI Special Agent Laura 35, a psychic that is haunted by her dreams She once drowned herself in the bottle, now visions to catch serial killers With hopes to get reacquainted with her daughter. Nate, partner wanted answers of how she knows ahead of time, to act. It hurt, all this time together, and she still wouldn’t open up, to him. Summons by Chief Rondelle for both to go to Wisconsin Twins, Ruby looking for love, checking her dating app Jade thinking of cutting her hair, calling to ask her twin first, no answer. Breaking into each home, same weapon, barely gap between time. Precision, with a lot of thought, leaving no evidence, one person or two. Powerful plot with two great leading roles. A winner for the author Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
In this third installment of the Laura Frost series, the title character struggles with whether or not to reveal her abilities to her partner, Nate. Fear over his reaction causes her to keep the information to herself, putting a huge strain on what used to be an open and trusting relationship.
Meanwhile, Laura also deals with worry about the custody battle with her ex husband Marcus over their daughter Lacey. To further compound her mental and emotional anguish, she stresses over the situation with little Amy, the daughter of the abusive politician.
Laura makes some questionable decisions in this book and I grew increasingly frustrated with her obstinance. I made peace with her by the end of the book, though, and may read the next book in the series.
Blake Pierce's Laura Frost Suspense Thriller has me on a mission. I love 💙 💚 the plot of this story. Twins are being murdered and there is no obvious clues to why. Then when this story starts Laura Frost is having a vision about Amy Fallow the governor's daughter who is being and been abused by him. She still is stressing about her custody battle with her ex husband, Marcus over their daughter, Lacey. She is still making some questionable choices but I am waiting for our author Blake Pierce to wrap this situation between Laura and Nate, if I was a person who had migraines Lol 😂 I would be upset with her if I were Nate. But Laura needs her partner, someone to be there for her. It's a Good Read. 👍🤗
Tried to leave book 3 to finish a couple other stories that various %completed, but I just had to know if Agent Frost finds a safe place for a rescued child victim /gets shared custody with her daughter /tell Nate (her FBI partner) the truth about her "hunches" or push him further away, and will she and Nate be able to work together to catch their latest quarry? These are just some of the questions that enticed me to leave my to-be-completed pile yet again to find out. Now patiently(?) waiting for December when the 4th installment is made available :D
Great series! Start from book one. This is, again, excellent series. Suspenseful! Addictive! You will be hooked! This book is a definite, psychological thriller! There are so many shocking twists and turns! Susan, without knowing, puts her self right in the target of a killer! As she is trying to balance her daily life with her children and mother, she put them all right in the middle of the sites of a killer! This has an ending you will not believe! This takes a, surprise ending, to a whole new level!
When I started this book, I had already decided that I was tired of the author's reluctance to show Laura confiding in her partner Nate. I was sure that he was going to portray Laura, once again stalling Nate with excuses and lame answers to his questions. By the time I finished this, I changed my mind. This story didn't open the channel of communication and trust between them that I was hoping for but author Pierce did go part way there and ended this story with Laura driving over to Nate's house.
On a positive note, there were far fewer mistakes in this Blake Pierce book than usual. I usually rate Pierces books higher, but Laura Frost's angst, impatience, and fervor in this book drove me nuts.
Laura and her partner are called in to investigate the murder of twins. Her partner is questioning her jumps in intuition. She’s slowly reconnecting with her daughter. Her psychic powers are getting harder to hide from her partner.
I got this book from the library app, this is my honest review. So far a great series. I have a few more books to go, and I am looking forward to them. I recommend these books.
Solid plot. Liked the premise of this serial killer in the novel. Wrap up seemed a bit rushed though. The Laura and Nate drama tension over her secret was infuriating in this book! Still, liking this quick and easy series.
This book is another great Blake Pierce book about Laura Frost working with her partner, Nate, to catch a perp who is killing twins. Another hard to put down book!
Laura is a great character. I enjoy the way she uses her 'gift' to help others. I hope she shares how she gets her hunches with Nate. He deserves the chance.
