If you like Harry Potter and you like horror, you'll love INTO THE DARK ...

A new home. A new town. And a (terrifying) new start.

Ella Tickles is certain that the new house she and her family are about to move into is haunted. Her parents and brother try to convince her that she’s being silly. But when the black mould on the walls and ceilings begins to move like it’s alive, Ella knows something has to be done. She learns from a neighbour that the house has been cursed by the previous owner, Maud Bellingham, who was a witch. No matter what anyone does to get rid of the mould, it keeps coming back – with vengeance. Whilst visiting a magic shop, Ella learns of a way to lift the curse. And she also learns something that she is a witch, too ...

(reading 8 years and up - ideal for children, teens and adults who LOVE a good scare!)

I think this is a great book . There are a lot of good things like the tension to the ending. If you read this book it will give a lot of mystery which leads to the climax of the story.I also like how you format all of your books. Also by ending it in a cliffhanger it makes you want to read the next book. Also I like how we get introduced into side character. The packing was great and also teaches a lesson .I personally rate it a 5/5 due to the chimax and the way it hooks you in to read the next book.

The book could be 5 stars, but the end was so strange, there was no end !

****************

Big raindrops began splattering my face as I looked upwards, but I was having too much fun to care.
‘Sorry Willa,’ I said, ‘but this has got to be done.’
Angling the front end of the broomstick skywards a little, a big grin spread across my face as I shot forwards through the air, picking up speed ... ????????

That was the end? Did you forget something? Please explain this?

It was OK. There were times it was slightly boring.

Could only get to like page 10 in this book. Didn’t know it was written only to appeal to children until it was too late. It is simply not well-written. Dissapointed because my name is Ella, LOL!

I Picked up this book because I like the mystery of Darkhill school book, But when started reading the first few pages and a few school scenes, it felt like I am reading the mystery of Darkhill school. The story is good though.

This book is really good. There were a couple downsides though! The book was going pretty slow, but about 3/4 into the book it went really fast with little to almost no explanation. Also another downside is that there are no chapters. In the whole book there are about 5 setting changes where you can stop, but they don’t come up frequently! Also, the ending is not really good, it really needs a sequel or something!
