Early American history. The Revolutionary War has ended, but struggles haven't.

Nathanael "Fox" Carter struggles for identity. Part native, part white, cause this young man to find where he "fits" in.

Great men like Andrew Jackson and Davy Crockett come on stage in this story. What a great heritage we have as Americans.

Also, as Americans, we have a dark history as well. First their land, the Natives fight to keep the white man away. Yet, they came, conquered and established a system the Natives couldn't/wouldn't accept.

What a great read. The feeling of being there jumped off the pages. The battles, the dangers were shaping what we have now.

I look forward to the last book in this series.

A Cherokee of mixed race falls for a white women on the American frontier.

Enjoyed being with Hawk and his friends and family again. Fox and Hannah story was exciting and sad in some spots. Fox was troubled about his heritage. But his mother and his uncle and Hawk helped him with it. He suffered a lot loss. But Hannah stuck by him through it all. Looking forward to hearing about Josh, David, Rachel and Eve now.

A Great Read.

Gilbert Morris knows his history and brings it to life. He writes in a a storyline that is easy to understand. I’ve been following many of his writings and have enjoyed everyone.
