Wrapped Up in Her

Rate this book
Want to know how to ruin Christmas in three easy steps? First, take the wrong way home late at night and witness a mob hit. Next, get yourself into witness protection, because the mob knows what you saw and wants you “taken care of”.

Step three? Have one last night out and drunkenly lose your v-card to a gorgeous stranger.

Actually, there’s a step four: find out the very next day that your gorgeous stranger is actually the dark, brooding FBI agent who’s going to be watching you one-on-one for the next week.

It was supposed to be one freaking night. One night, no inhibitions, no regrets, no rules. Except now me and Mr. Grumpy-Hot are locked in a cabin in the woods together for a whole week pretending to be newly-weds for our cover story.

The mob wants me dead, it’s freezing outside, and I’m trapped in the woods with the hottest bossy-pants I’ve ever met. Four walls, two not-so-strangers, one bed, and sleigh-load of mistletoe. Gee, what could possibly go wrong in this scenario?

I already gave him my v-card. But when things heat up under the mistletoe, there’s something else he’s after, too: my heart.

And this Christmas, he might just get it.

Looking for the perfect blend of steamy and sweet? This is just what you need! So pour some eggnog, get cozy, and grab a sleigh-load of mistletoe! No cliffhanger, and a perfect happy ever after.

Addison Christmas week turns into hell witnessing a murder and hooking up with a stranger to lose her vcard before she has to go into hiding. And when she meets her Agent that shall protect her shes shocked its her one night stand.

And Marshall is suprised also but still feeling smitten with her. Even when he and Addy banter over dump stuff.. and their sexual attraction to one another.  Also dealing with a rat/mob who is coming after them.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, tiny Drama, sexy times, no virgins (h was a virgin off page she lost it to the H at a bar)

The story was a quick read and I enjoyed it. It has alternating POV, angst, it was dirty, fun, hot, sexy and a standalone. No cliffhanger.
What happens when you go the wrong direction home and witness a murder, when you think going down a dark alley is ok. Witness Protection!

I received an ARC from the author to read and give my honest review/opinion.

I never pass up on the opportunity to read one of Cole’s books. And when he releases a fun, Christmas time surprise story? Heck yeah I am on it.

I was happy to see Marshall, the FBI agent from HUNGRY FOR HER, get a story. And what a story it was. If there is a troupe labeled Strangers to Lovers to Enemies and back to Lovers, WRAPPED UP IN HER would definitely be marked as that. Their story is wild and a little unbelievable. But if there was ever an author out there that can turn the unbelievable into believable, it’s Cole. He has that knack.

Fantastic story with Cole’s signature insta-love, happily ever after...WRAPPED UP IN HER was exactly what I needed tonight. And as always, I look forward to what he writes next. Keep them coming!! 5 Stars!!

Addy witnessed a Mafia murder and now she has a hit out on her. The FBI puts her in the Witness Protection Program. The problem? Her agent is the stranger she hooked up with the night before. Now what?

Marshall and Addy’s story story was sexy, drama-filled, fast paced and suspenseful. Addy witnesses a mob hit and has to go in WITSEC what could go wrong when you leave your whole life behind and are shacking up with a broody federal agent? And that grumpy federal agent happens to be Addy’s one night stand from her last night of freedom. Marshall is flabbergasted when he meets the young woman he is supposed to be protecting. Will he be able to protect her and keep his hands off of her?

Addy saw a mob hit and now has to go onto witness protection, Marshall is the agent in charge, he has been working undercover for a while but now does witness protection. When Addy gets to the remote Minnesota cabin she is shocked to see her one night stand from the night before, Marshall. Lots of snippy snarky banter and then they finally give into their crazy attraction to one another. Their reminiscing about their night together and their on paper sexy time together is hot. Marshall sees some guys who look mob like in town and has a note identifying him on his car, then a night time attack by goons. A betrayal by his supervisor and rescue by Addy. The two profess their love and once all the bad guys are taken down he quits the FBI and retires with Addy in the safe house cabin.
I liked the story but way to many plot holes. 1) how was Addy able to go out to a bar then to a strangers house for sex if she was supposed to be in witness protection, shouldn’t she have been watched by local police until the FBI could takeover her protection. 2) if they did not change her appearance any why is it a good idea to parade around town? 3) how can Marshall leave her alone and go into town, just cause he needed space from her, his sole job is to protect her. 4) when the mob guys make eye contact and then he finds the note with his identity on it should he not have thought they were comprised? He checks under and around his car for explosives but doesn’t call his concern in? 5) when his supervisor finds out Marshall left her alone, he still waits hours to have guys attack? To many smh moments.

I found this book discounted on Amazon via BargainBooksy; this is my honest review.
-So I wasn't sure why the FBI didn't keep Addy safe once they decided she needed WP. How is it possible she went out the same night? The Nicosta Family could have found her then. No?
-I enjoyed the book even though Addison was a brat instead of being nice. If Marshall would have been my first time, I would have been glad to be stuck with him for a week or two. But that's just me.
-I thought Marshall was well described physically but I didn't see an age-gap until the clerk thought he was the big brother. But even then, how much older can you get?
-A bit predictable - I caught on pretty much at the beginning, but I don't know why - but fun getting there. Loved the epilogue too. The dual POVs were well-written too.
-Editing: Nothing to detract but a few errors here an there: Typos (Nicsota/Nicosta). Too many words (And I by “met,” I mean). Wrong word (it more exiting this - vs. exciting). Not sure (But I was never excepting her.). Also "a while back" and "ten years" are not the same thing (ref: using the cabin for another WP).

I Voluntarily reviewed a copy of "WRAPPED UP IN HER"
Jagger Cole did a great job writing this hot steamy romance, suspense, intrigue, anger, it grabs you from beginning to end.
Addy made a mistake taking the wrong home one night ended up witnessing a mob hit now they want her dead,
Addy wants one night of fun before going into WITSEC ith her friends she ends giving her V-Card to one hot dark broody gorgeous stranger.
Marshall is an FBI Agent who has been tasked protecting a witness when he sees its Addy his one night stand he shocked to say to least he takes her to a cabin the woods for a week.
I loved the chemistry between Addy & Marshall things heat up at the cabin there's some humor & definite hot steamy scenes.
I definitely recommend to get this well written fun steamy short holiday romance you don't want to miss getting so well worth the read it won't disappoint with a great epilogue.

A different kind of Christmas tale. A young woman, Addy, accidentally sees something she shouldn’t and has to go into witness protection. Before that happens, she has one wild night of wild passion (a first), with a stranger, before her life is changed. When she gets to the little out of the way cabin in the middle of nowhere, she is shocked to see her stranger is her protector. Marshall, a grumpy-ish intense FBI agent, who can’t get the beautiful stranger from the night before out of his mind, gets a real shocker when his new charge shows up. He’s growly and alpha and yummy all rolled into one. I wasn’t thrilled with her and how bratty she acted for so long, but eventually she stopped torturing him because of her ish. And him being the man, he stuck by her until she got it together. I’d definitely take him 😉

Unfortunately there was not any of this short story that worked for me. The H described the h as a brat, which she absolutely was, but also kind of a b*tch. And her reason for acting that way wasn't explained until 45% in. It wasn't a very good explanation and by then she was not redeemable to me. Besides that, I thought that our H was just about the dumbest agent to ever walk the earth. I can suspend reality only so much when I'm reading what should be a contemporary story, and this one fell outside of what I could tolerate. I won't explain what bothered me as it would be spoilers, but by the time I was just past half way through, I found myself rolling my eyes so much that I was basically skimming my way through the rest of the book, just to get done.

*ARC REVIEW*
This is my first read of Jagger's but definitely won't be the last.

Addy spent her last night before going into witsec in the arms of a stranger... Surprise! Said stranger is the FBI agent now in charge of protecting her. As you can imagine, awkwardness and sexual tension abounds. Even though they're determined to be hostile toward each other, they can't deny their attraction. Add in some suspense with a twist, it has something for everyone!
It hints at the age gap but never actually says how old Marshall is. Also, why wouldn't he leave with Addy after finding the note on his car, knowing they had been made?
Overall this was a short sweet and steamy read.

Only One Problem

I enjoyed this book, truly. I like the author. It made me chuckle several times, and the chemistry between the MC’s was hot.

There’s just one problem. A fairly small one, really, but it bugs the crap out of me.

The FBI doesn’t handle Witness Protection.
They never have.
Wit-Sec is handled by the US Marshals Service.

I enjoyed the book, I did, but a simple Google search would have prevented this mistake, and I find myself annoyed that the writer didn’t bother to fact check himself.

Still, it was an enjoyable read, I’m just easily bothered by what I consider lazy writing.

This Christmas is going to suck.

The wrong way home is something that I will regret forever.
I witness an execution by the mob.
The hook up at the bar with the gorgeous stranger was something I had never done in my life.
I am rushed into FBI Witness protection because somehow the mob found out who I am.
Find out the FBI agent in charge of my protection is non other that the hook up.
This was a quick funny read as Abby is such a brat to begin with and Marshall can not quit thinking about their night.
Can not wait to see what this author has in store for 2021.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I thought that this was a great book. I loved Addy and Marshall together. I loved the tension between these two; They just couldn't stop the pull to the other after their life changing night together. Addy is sassy and isn't afraid to speak her mind while Marshall is alpha and all he wants is Addy. I loved the fast paced drama in this book and I would recommend it. I can't wait to see what Ms. Jagger has in store for us next!

I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

She witness a murder and is not in witness protection because the mob wants to kill her. He an FBI agent Marshall we read about in another book. They meet as strangers and have a steamy night, now face-to-face things are about to a little steamy. Addy and Marshall now have to live in the same place while she's being hunted. Marshall is there to protect her, but he's not letting her go again. However her protection is more important and he will do what he can to protect her. But will it be enough? Loved this hot and steamy stories just in time for Christmas.

FBI agent Marshall Farington is always on the road and has no time for a relationship nor does he do one-night stands. But Marshall never expected the beautiful but sassy Addison Stirling, the fantasy girl that he took home and had the night of his life with. It's Marshall's job to keep Addy safe but why can’t he stop thinking of her naked and kissing him whenever he looks at her?

Drama-filled, twisty and steamy!

This was a fun, steamy, full of action holiday read. I like the location of a winter cabin and being together under unique circumstances after already having "met" before. At first the banter between them is quite funny and entertaining and it's so wonderful when they finally give in to their yearning for each other. I love the Christmas feel of the story too. Definitely recommend. I received this as an ARC copy and this is my honest opinion.

Good story

WRAPPED UP IN HER is a shorter length Christmas story with a mafia twist. Marshall is a bad adz FBI agent taking Addison into the WITSEC program the day after they had a one night stand. Addison takes a bratty approach to finding Marshall is her handler but they eventually succumb to what drew them to each other to begin with. It’s a good story that could have been longer and still kept my interest.

This is a short but steamy story about an FBI agent and a woman in witsec. The twist is they had a steamy encounter the night before and never got around to introducing themselves. There are many hilarious moments as they navigate needing to be in close proximity until the bad guys are arrested.

Cute read

This was a cute short story and I really loved Marshall, but wow did I get annoyed at Addy in the beginning. Her antics were just so immature especially for someone who’s hiding from the mob.

Me gustó el romance y la historia en general. Todo el tema de la protección de testigos y el FBI le añadió un toque interesante a la historia (aunque no deja de ser una novela por lo que no es súper desarrollado, pero aún así es coherente, conciso y satisfactorio).
