Once upon a time when I was a teenager, I devoured Chicken Soup Books and was an obsessive collector of many titles. Feeling a bit nostalgic all these years later, I selected this one as the book I would read during my grade 9 English independent reading times. As always, it was filled with positive, hopeful and you can do it messages. There are ten themes tackled- Just Say Yes, Learn to Trust, Connect With Someone, Reinvent Yourself, Face Your Fears, Be Spontaneous, Go Far Away, Find Love, Take A Risk, and Take Back Your Life. Like other reviewers, I didn't like every single story in the collection, mostly because some were a little too similar in nature, but overall, it was nice to return to a series that I had previously enjoyed.
I never bought a “chicken soup for the soul” book, I usually would borrow them from the library. But for some strange reason this one called out to me one day when I was at my favourite bookstore and looking for some encouragement and inspiration and I can honestly say it didn’t disappoint. Every story filled me with joy and hope that I too can step out of my comfort zone and truly live life and stop being afraid
That latest book form Chicken Soup for the Soul, Step Outside Your Comfort Zone, is a winner!
When I first started reading this book, I was not all that impressed. None of the stories really made me go wow or cry. Then starting in the second chapter, the book really took, off.
Although all the stories were great, the ones that impressed me the most were: • 13 Lord Knows by Matt Caprioli. This was a great story about “coming out” which I applaud Chicken Soup for the Soul for publishing. • 21 I was there by CL Nash. A touching story about taking care of th4 homeless. • 71 Role Models by Rebecca Waters. A real story of taking a risk only to find a new purpose after the passing of a spouse. • 72 Leaving the Swamp by Kenneth Heard. The story of taking a risk and finding love aster the loss of a spouse. • 85 Disembarking by Dana Carpenter – the story of a disabled person in a wheelchair and skydiving.
This was a great book and one I will refer to again and again.
I have always been a fan of Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Stepping out of your comfort zone is a beautiful collection of many inspiring stories, but I found the events compiled in this edition somewhat lacking in the emotional quotient of the earlier editions. I loved the collection but the connection to the heart was a little amiss
101 short stories … an interesting insight into sometimes very small things that can make a big difference. A longer read than I expected as a series of short stories take longer to read than an engrossing book that builds until its conclusion.
Empowering. Just say yes. Learn to trust. Connect with someone. Reinvent yourself. Face your fears. Be spontaneous. Go far away. Find love. Take a risk. Take back your life.

Hard to rate a book made up of tiny little stories. But overall good! Some I was like enhhhh why's that in here, but others were great! Motivating book!
The stories in this book are so inspirational and some hit extremely close to home with how I feel and things I fear. So glad I read this. Definitely recommend.
