About the author

Wolfgang Smith is a scholar and researcher in the fields of mathematics and physics, but is also a writer on theology, metaphysics, and religion. Because of his unusual qualifications in both scientific and theological disciplines, he is able to write with great authority on many topics of concern to religious and scientific scholars today. He has published extensively on mathematical topics relating to algebraic and differential topology. However, ever since his youth, Smith has had a deep interest in metaphysics and theology. Early on, he acquired a taste for Plato and the neoplatonists, and traveled in India to gain acquaintance with the Vedantic tradition. Later he devoted himself to the study of theology, and began his career as a Catholic metaphysical author.

"Let me attempt to convey what an unspeakably joyful revelation it is that in place of “raw masses wandering to no purpose” we find ourselves actually in a world replete with sound and color and a host of other sensible qualities: the very world artists have painted and poets have sung, which turns out not to be a fantasy—a mere res cogitans—but an authentic ambience, inhabited by beings we can perceive, communicate with, and love."

Oh my dear Lord! My mind has been blown into a thousand pieces and my eyes opened to deeper truths! I read this basically in one sitting because I just couldn't stop! Wow, having gone down the rabbit hole, the deeper you go the more you realize just how f---ed our Western modern world is! It's screwed. The Enlightenment gave us liberty but at what cost? The cost was too high! Not that much can be done about it now other than to give all this up and return to the truths that all of humanity once knew naturally. But there is a lot that can be said and what I would want to say, but for now having studied modern physics for years, even reading theories from those who would be considered on the fringes of science, this man presents the most salient and obvious answer, and it was staring us in the face THE WHOLE TIME. Quite literally. I do feel very emboldened as I knew that modern science was on the wrong track when it came to understanding the fundamental nature of reality, that it wasn't just coincidence that no one was making any new or relevant discoveries that matched the contributions of the golden age, e.g. Einstein, Bohr, et al. I just couldn't fathom just HOW much so! Not even remotely in the same zip code, guys! Like wow. Talk about "the blind leading the blind"! The blind leading the blind right off the cliff quite literally into the void, in every sense of the word! Not that there weren't fascinating, beautiful things down there, but it wasn't and isn't real. In one afternoon my whole perspective of reality was turned right side up! It was already in the process of doing so, but this was the last push and now I have come out of Wonderland and am back to the real world, which is and promises to be more wondrous than even the mind of Man could imagine!

Wolfgang Smith is like the opposite of Nietzsche's madman. He ran through the streets and declared that the Enlightenment is dead, and he was right. But nobody was ready to hear. He was too early.

Give it another 300 or 500 years.

Some legitimate criticisms of modern physics and direction for allowing this science to gain wholeness and integrity. But it's more than that, here we see articles of the same author on various topics, but all with a common theme.
