Lazy Dungeon Master #7

Lazy Dungeon Master, Volume 7

Rate this book
In my attempts to keep my dungeon running without doing any work myself, I ended up becoming a pope on top of being town chief. That must have made me stand out a little too much, because the Tsia Archduke has a quest he wants me personally to do. I was thinking I'd meet him and turn him down, but the reward is information about the Divine Pillow?! Okay, I guess I'll accept it.

"Very well," says the Archduke. "I will accept your marriage with my daughter, Maiodore."

Wait a second, where'd that come from...? As I face my greatest (?) threat yet, my own kind of dungeon story continues! Why are so many people after me?!

There is one thing this volume made me chuckle. While the others were decent I don't remember chuckling. I was in the car listen to it and bam I started to chuckle. I was like wow. There you go. This volume might make you chuckle

Volume 7 is much like the previous volumes, light-hearted and entertaining. Keima is invited to the archduke of Tsia for a meeting, drawing him into trouble, as usually to a large extent self-made. The reason I give it 3 stars is that I am not an overly big fan of some aspects of the comedy in this volume. It contains some of the typical flamboyant gay jokes and messing with peoples' minds through charm by the MC is one thing (at least the MC himself feels really uncomfortable about it although that is more about how he charms people then the actual mental domination), but by making it a joke about "traps" and the like lessens the entertainment factor for me. Still, a quick mostly entertaining read.

The high point of Book 7 is having the main character Keima "transform" into his succubus femboy self...There are no sexual boundaries that this author/publisher will not cross to sell more books to minors, young adults and depraved fan-service requests...Most of the main characters have yet to be "illustrated" (drawn) and yet Keima is the succubus femboy centerfold in this book 7.
Because the author had to create a story for the "transformation", apparently it was relevant to Dungeon Cave of Greed to explore the Tsia dungeon nearby...avoid Rokiko's "kissing gets you pregnant" misunderstandings and the assassinations sent from the Ivory Dungeon, Haku and her infatuation with Rokiko...

Good book. It did not have a dungeon battle this time so different from the other 6 volumes. The amount of new character devlopment did not seem forced this unlike in volume 6 where it did. Many good things to say but in all it is a good light novel to have read. I hope there will be a volume 8 some time in 2020.
