Admittedly, the thought of a troll and a wolf shifter caught my eye, and I was pleasantly surprised by this sweet holiday story.

Yes, Arlo is a troll. Convention tells him he must stand guard and diligently take care of his newly designated bridge, never to leave it until he’s ready to start his own family. He’s an assumed solitary sort, and despite his love of bantering for tributes, deep down Arlo is lonely.

When wolf shifter Toby traverses Arlo’s bridge, a friendly connection is created. Toby’s a runner between his family’s packs, and he soon finds himself meeting up with Arlo on the regular. This is a slow burn and over months, Toby and Arlo form a friendship that becomes more and more meaningful with each encounter.

However, each is held back by not wanting to ruin the friendship but each also yearns for so much more. How can two very different beings, with two very different life goals and expectations, ever find a middle ground?

Look, this breaks no extraordinary literary barriers. However, it’s different because who has ever read a troll as a main romantic protagonist? Not I!

Arlo is quite the gentle giant. He’s uncomplicated, guileless, and earnest in his desire to be loved and accepted. Toby, in turn, is friendly, full of generosity and thoughtfulness and is ready to work with Arlo to get their happy ending just in time for Christmas!

Overall, if you want a slight fantasy/supernatural twist with a seriously sweet (albeit seriously simple) love story, then this will satisfy! Cheers!

Read this last year but this year it’s under a slightly different name. Still wonderful and sweet, like a fairytale .

Arlo and Tobias met when Tobias was walking to his family's home and had to cross a bridge. Arlo was the troll and guarded the bridge and expected a tribute of some kind in order to pass over the bridge but the first time they met, Tobias had nothing to give the troll. Arlo let Tobias pass the first time for free but that night on the way back, Tobias brought a plate of cookies for the big troll. Tobias invited himself to eat a cookie with Arlo and they sat and talked and slowly became friends.

Over the next year when Todias would pass over the bridge, he and Arlo would sometimes sit and talk. It was different watching a budding romance unfold between a wolf shifter and a troll but these two were so cute together. This was such a feel-good, sweet, romance that all I could do was smile while I was reading it.

I enjoyed this title very much, even if I would have preferred a more profound connection with the readers through the writing style: at times, I felt like it was a bit too "light".
I loved the two main characters, their personal stories and their meaningful friendship (and love), as well as the setting: I could see, through the pages, the bridge and the forest and the magical aura around them.

A solid 3.5 stars for me. Highly recommended if you're looking for a fluff and cute reading!

In which a cute-ass troll and a cute-ass wolf shifter are desperately adorable together.

The fluffiest book of fluff I've read in ages, and what a lovely experience, to be caught up in moments enveloped in love and humour.

I don't want to give too much away, but adorable moments include: handstands, a pile of leaves, family, trinkets, and a water nymph.

Would recommend for a quick, cute pick me up that'll leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

This book just absolutely warmed my heart. A kind of grumpy giant bridge troll and a hyper happy wolf shifter falling in love (which they both so desperately crave)? Sign me up! Smiling from smart to finish, I recommend this book to all looking for a light, fluffy, sweet holiday story that will have you rooting for love and leaving completely happy.

I thought this novella was sweet. It was well written with some lovely prose sprinkled in.

Arlo, the troll who lives under a bridge that he guards, and Toby, who crosses the bridge often as a messenger between wolf shifter packs, made a sweet couple. There was some mild angst that was quickly resolved and then it was back to being a cute, low conflict story.

I liked the holiday vibes(Christmas and Thanksgiving!) as well as the found family aspect with Arlo.

Well wasn't this just the sweetest thing ever. I mean you have a lonely sort of grumpy bridge troll who longs for a family of his own with a sweet as cotton candy wolf shifter named Toby. This was a quick holiday read, with zero angst to be seen and a touch of steam. Toby and Arlo were just absolutely adorable and their story is just a heartwarming read. The entire wolf pack of Toby's family were amazing as well. It was nice to see shifters loving each other unconditionally. They welcomed Arlo into their midst like he was always there, something that meant the world to the previously lonely troll. Just an all around cutesy read!

I already met Arlo in other books and was always hoping for 'his' story.

Sweet slow burn romance, full of tender and heart breaking moments and two main characters who bridge (ha!!!) their differences.

This is an absolutely sweet and adorable PNR romance. It features a troll who isn't very good at being a troll but is kind and such a sweetheart and a wolf shifter who is anything but ordinary despite what he thinks. There is no angst, a bit of steam and a whole lot of cute encounters. I liked that the author introduced a bit of body positivity and gave Arlo the troll a big family of his own. Toby had a heart of gold and what he started as an offer of friendship slowly grew into affection and love. An endearing novella where dreams come true and cookies are extra delicious! Can a story about a Troll and a Wolf Shifter give you the butterflies and fuzzy warm feelings? Yep! This story can! Group hug with Arlo and Toby!🥰
This was just sweet and warm, from friends to lovers to lifelong mates. I loved it! Now I'm checking out Lee Colgin's other books, I don't usually read paranormal m/m but I can start with her.

Bridge to Love is a very sweet, very simple story. It reads like a fairytale with a very light touch of eroticism. There’s nothing dramatic or overly angsty here and equally, there isn’t a lot of depth. It’s the sort of thing you want to pick up when you’re looking for warm and fuzzy without much substance.

Toby and Arlo are a well matched couple despite their different backgrounds. Toby is a pack member used to large social gatherings and Arlo is supposed to prefer isolation and bachelorhood. His eagerness to be loved by Toby is truly endearing and even when they have misunderstandings, there is a gentleness to it. There’s only kindness between them and, frankly, that’s not such a bad thing these days.

Well if this isn’t the cutest, fluffiest little love story I’ve ever read with that last minute dash of spice. A bridge to love is a m/m relationship between a troll and a wolf shifter and how they both overcome their duties and anxieties to embrace a relationship together. It was a fairly short book but i love the slow burn over the months that came together for Christmas. I highly recommend this book. Short, sweet and if it doesn’t give you the warm and fuzzies then I don’t know what to say to you.

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review

What a lovely novella! Short but quite balanced in building the relationship that we sometimes see in novels.

I really enjoyed it and I totally recommend it if you need a dose of cuteness overload between a troll (Arlo) and a wolf shifter (Toby)! Very well written, captivating and the growth of their love, from friends to lovers, is just super cute! And when it gets to the sexy times... The cuteness continues but hot as well!

I really enjoyed this read, it was fast-paced and such a sweet story. The setting and world building is fascinating, Arlo and Toby's relationship development is so cute.

Adore how Arlo carved out his home under the bridge and the decorations - all the little detail, off the tributes and area he'd made his home was beautiful. The scenery came to life and get glimpses into the MCs lives as they meet by Arlos bridge.

The gifts, how Arlo admires every tribute his given and the way he enjoys his role yet also longs for family. His such a softie at heart, even though he plays his role as a troll when people cross the bridge.

I loved the slow burn of their feelings over the Christmas season and into the following year, forming a relationship over time. Toby showing Arlo games, each providing comfort - tea and cookies on the bridge. Just spending their time together and that first kiss is perfect so fitting!

The christmas gifts for each other are beautiful, show how much they love and care for each other wanting to make a home and life together that fits them both. Also Toby's family is wonderful, especially Gran and how care for Arlo too gives all the feels!

Overall i had such a fun time reading this book, had me enchanted from start to finish - Tony and Arlo captured my heart. All of the comforting vibes and perfect cosy Christmas read with a happy ending ♥️

This book was provided to me for free by IndoGo Marketing in exchange for an honest review.

One day the wolf shifter Tobias (Tobi) wants to deliver a message to another village. Therefore he has to cross a bridge, which he actually had crossed several times already. But this time the bridge is guarded by a troll called Arlo who of course wants to have some tribute for letting Tobi pass. Since Tobi hadn’t known that the bridge has its own guard now, he didn’t bring any tribute, but promises Arlo to get him something on the way back. And since Tobi is trustworthy he really does. That’s when the friendship between the troll Arlo and the wolf shifter starts – the friendship that soon becomes love. But does the other feel the same way and could a relationship between a wolf-shifter who mates for lifetime and a troll who must never leave a bridge he guards really work?

The Bridge to Love is a totally cute short Christmas-love story without any angst.
Arlo is a kindhearted troll who doesn’t like being alone (as trolls normally do) and loves having Tobi around. He’d like to have a big family, too.
Tobi is a super cute wolf shifter with a golden heart. You get the feeling that he’d do everything for the one who’ll become his mate.

I really loved this book. It totally got me into my ‘Christmas mood’.

A Bridge to Love is a sweet feel-good story about an adorable bridge-troll and a sweet wolf-shifter.

Arlo has finally earned his right to guard his very own bridge. The only problem is, it’s a lonely job. As trolls are solitary creatures, Alro has had to leave his family behind, and while he's excited to have his very own bridge he longs for the companionship of family.

Tobias is a wolf shifter that serves as a messenger between packs. One day he stumbles on the new bridge troll on his path between villages and is immediately smitten.

The story of Arlo and Toby is a very sweet, slow burn. Their interactions over the months and seasons slowly develop and grow. It was quite sweet and cute. I love Toby's family and how they accepted Arlo. Oh, and Toby's Christmas present was just the sweetest thing! *sigh*

A Bridge to Love is a short and sweet little paranormal story with a lovely HEA. I quite enjoyed it and look forward to more from the author.

Sweetest troll ever

Toby is a wolf shifter who passes between the 2 villages that straddle the river. One day going over the bridge Arlo pops out from underneath, demanding tribute. While happy to meet someone new, Toby can tell this troll is upset over something. Promising to come back with proper tribute, Arlo realizes he's not a good troll. He wants company, hates being alone. And he'd really like the company of the sweet wolf shifter.

Spoilers ahead.
This was pure sugar rush. Low angst, no ridiculously tortured and contrived drama. It was 2 people becoming friends and realizing they want more. Toby teaching Arlo games and how other families work, Arlo learning to let go of preconceived notions. The characters developed and grew. Even with the time skips they bonded. The cover looks like it's a high steam book but there really isn't a lot mentioned until close to the end. This is a slow, sweet, adorably romantic book.

This is a heartwarming, adorable story with a plucky wolf shifter, a very kindly troll, and tons of holiday cheer. I loved the way that the story unfolds over the span of months, and how each milestone in the relationship is carefully and beautifully outlined before moving on to the next. You can see both Toby and Arlo working to build their relationship from interest to friendship to something more, and I loved the gentle certainty of that progression. Nothing, not even the inevitable misunderstanding or two, derails them for long. I liked that Arlo is not your typical troll -- he’s friendly and adventurous, and likes making friends as much as collecting tribute-- and that Toby’s pack accepts and welcomes him on his own terms. Honestly, this is exactly the sweet, beautifully crafted story I needed to show me what I was missing by not expecting more trolls as romantic heroes. All I’m saying is that I see some serious series potential here...

Such a simple, slow and absolutely endearing love story! 4.5 stars
Over the course of one year a bridge troll and a werewolf become friends and ultimatively fall in love.
Every time the wolf crosses the bridge to visit another pack in a distant village, he tries his best to befriend the lonely bridge troll and slowly their relationship builds. The wolf learns more about the lonely lifes of bridge trolls and the troll learns more about life with a pack, a big family. Both have their own struggles as odd-balls of their species until they find happiness in and with each other

The good
+ Toby bringing gifts for Arlo, even when Arlo said he didn't have to pay anymore
+ Tobias' name shifting to Toby in Arlo's perspective
+ Arlo taking amazing care of his bridge
+ Toby finding excuses to visit Arlo and making sure he's not lonely
+ Arlo finding the family he always wanted
+
+

The neutral
o I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. My review remains honest and unbiased
o This book was advertised as a slowburn. I think, in theory, it's a slowburn because a lot of time passed between their first meeting and the start of their romantic relationship. However, to the reader it's not a slowburn, because the book consisted mainly of time skips

The bad
- There was a Big Miscommunication, that resulted in very hurt feelings on both sides. It could so easily have been resolved with just one conversation, and it doesn't fit their friendship that it didn't happen

This book was cute, although not entirely what I had expected based on the blurb. I had expected more slowburn and more hurt/comfort, but it was a nice read nonetheless. I'm really not a fan of the Big Miscommunication trope, but Arlo's adorableness made up for it after they got back together. I'd recommend this as a light read if you're looking for a cute troll MC.

This book is about the relationship that blossoms between the troll, Arlo, and the wolf shifter, Toby. It is an adorable little book, a really quick read, and leaves the reader with a warm and fuzzy feeling to them.

It’s setting made it perfect for the holidays, and made me want to snuggle up with a significant other. The characters are extremely sweet to one another as they get to know each other and cultivate their relationship.

I was a bit concerned about a seeming lack of plot until I realized that the plot was their interactions, and that it was meant to be a slice-of-life in a fantasy world.

The writing was lovely, and although the dialogue could be a bit cheesy at times, it had me hooked.

POV: 3rd person past tense

Arlo is a troll who has just claimed a bridge for his own. Toby is a wolf shifter who travels often between two packs, since he is the runner to take news and items back and forth. When they first meet, Toby does not have a tribute to give Arlo, so on the way back, he brings something for him. Throughout the year, Toby and Arlo interact on a regular basis, getting to know one another.

Awwww. Trolls and wolves in love are so cute! I mean... uh... scary and fearsome. Yeah, scary and fearsome. Toby and Arlo were wonderful together, and I liked the vignettes of them getting to know one another. I liked how supportive they were of each other, and how they tried really hard to do things and think of things to make the other one happy. Very sweet.
