Will his past fear or her present predicament keep them apart...
Oh what a read this one was. I smiled, was scared, upset, happy, thrilled with Rage and Nia.
Both are exceptional characters, yet there has been moments when I would have shaken them like a rag doll to bring some senses into them. But it was also because of their doubts they are more likable, these imperfections make them perfect.
Rage lives in guilt and fear, he never overcomes the dramatic event of his youth, it altered the course of his life and since he avoids real confrontations. He refuses to hurt anyone, so much, he prefers to get hit than return fire.
Nia trusted the wrong man, and since she is paying a high price for it. Now she is running for her life and freedom. After a year in hell, she wants nothing more to do with men and their controlling way. Yet she still need one to help her.
While it is a fast paced read sets on a short span of time for the main action, I did not feel it was rushed, it was so intense, the shift in the characters’ feelings was understandable as was the restlessness of their emotions.
I loved this story came with a prologue and a full developed epilogue.

Very cool series
I'm a fan. Unique and colorful. I dig the guys through and through. Clever and well written. Well done! On to book 8, I am.
Since I started writing, I'm realizing how important reviews are. For well established authors or not. I wanna see the kids. New breeds are always fun!

It was super entertaining!
Who doesn’t love a brooding hero? A stubborn heroine not ready to give up herself?
I know I am a sucker for those, so when I got Rage’s story I had high hopes. And I was greatly entertained.
My absolute favorite part was the constant amount of action. We got introduced to a great many intriguing places and I think it set a positive outlook on the coming book. Can I have Deaths book soon, please? 😂
I needed a little something “serious” to kick it up to 4 stars. Because some parts were a bit rushed. But overall a great read with tons of action and loyal characters. I do love my dragons😂😚

I was so excited to see that we were going to get Rage's story, also that I wasn't totally off the rocker with the dog.
Rage is not a happy person, he is afraid to let anyone close including his friends that he considers family. He knows that at any time he can lose his control and hurt someone, so he tries to keep his life quiet and normal.
Nia is a hellhound that is in need of help and knows that Rage and his powers will be what she needs to get out of hell. Nia is strong, intelligent, and loving but she is in a bad way. Rage is exactly what she needs in everything it just might be too late for either of them to notice.
I LOVED this story. I couldn't put Lord of Chaos down. I read it in one sitting.

Nia and Rage
Nia is a hellhound shifter compelled to obedience by Gaire, an evil soul hunter from Hell. Chained in the underworld to guard the entrance and exit from demons and other beings, she has a mound of rotting carcasses to prove her competence in that regard. For a year she has hacked away at her restraints with a rock in an effort to escape. Finally her efforts reward her and she flees.
Rage is a reclusive and grumpy dragon demigod and son of a warlord whose powers are so strong he tries to keep them in check by professional fighting and the very occasional forceful rut. It is difficult for Rage to find a female strong and tough enough to withstand his fierce mating urges, often leaving them in tears. When he comes into contact with Nia at a BDSM club, she awakens strong sexual feelings in him, but she waits until the next evening when he’s asleep in his own bed to approach him and ask for sex. Awakened, he is angry she has broken into his home and demands she leave.
The story continues with their efforts to find a way to break the hold the evil Gaire holds over her as her master. He is obsessed with bringing her back under his domination to hunt and kill souls at will and perform all types of perverted sexual acts. His skills as a fighter are apparently unparalleled as he punishes Nia with agony and fights Rage and others with a superior strength.
Rage and Nia can only overcome if they can find a way to release the super power Rage withholds. Either way it’s a fight to the death.

The doberman attached to Rage is more than loyal and many unknowns.
Rage is such a tortured demigod all because of his powers and what happened as a youngster. Not many know what happened except for his brothers. No judgments held against him, just understand and love for Rage.
A doberman attaches itself to Rage. He doesn't want it and does whatever he can to find the owner and even takes it to the dog shelter. But she keep coming back to him. It's hilarious.
He comes to find out her name is Nia and she has someone looking for her and it not a good predicament. Rage gets involved with trying to help her with what is looking for her. It's torturous for her.
Things get so dangerous that Death involves himself in it to keep Rage safe and has Star help as well. Things that Rage never expected that involve the Underworld.
Lord of Chaos is so action packed and all the characters in this book play an integral part. We've read in the other books that Rage is so removed from things and his main thing is the MMA. Fighting is what he lives for to handle the rage he carries with his power. This book brings Rage to life and you have to love him. He is so hot and steamy. Wow!!
I love the whole series but this one is definitely a favorite. I recommend this book and would love a Bk 2 of Rage and Nia.

Not a fan
Probably my least favorite out of the series.
I didn't like how she only had an accent with maybe 2 words, Mam and Tad, but the rest was normal talking. It wasn't believable and it annoyed me.
I also didn't like the whole concept that if a hell hound falls in love that they have to follow their commands. I think this is a stupid concept. Why would that be a thing? It doesn't make any sense. Even if the other person loves the hellhound back they can both command each other? That sounds like an awful relationship, its not balance like how they described it in the book. Its forcing someone to do something even if they didn't mean it. Free will is gone and you would have to watch what you say to the significant other. Just duh. I think it would have made more sense if he got her comfortable being with him enough that he was able to put some sort of magical collar on her that forced her to follow his commands.
*spoiler* My last complaint with this book is when Rage has him trapped and she says she can't kill someone who is begging for his life. Rage gets all butt hurt about it, then she kills guy. It didn't make any sense, made it awkward and was not needed.

Another wonderful addition to this series, riveting read
I thoroughly loved reading this book it was so enjoyable and once again found myself unable to put the book down once I began reading. I love the way this suthor puts her books together the characters and the plots are also so comprehensive and differ vastly over the various books in the series.
The character was simply splendid and I loved the interaction between the main character Nia who is a strong and capable character who is able to make her own way, she has a cool calculating mind. Rage is the other character and it is obvious that he carries a few mental scars that he tries to hide from anyone that he meets.
However, Nia is able to see through the mask he wears and she is determined that together they can and will persevere and hopefully win.
You will love every chapter of this book.

Calming Pet
This story has some funny parts but there is lots of adult action too, that doesn't include the multiple fights and ironic interactions with Death and his dad. In some ways it is a little sad only Death, Night, and Star can seem to visit their father... Hades and he seems to want grandchildren... strange none of the others do... especially as in the last book you learn there are multiple half siblings and they all seem happy to know they aren't alone. Oh well that's another story I guess. Rage is a bit more like his brother Maddox since he met his cute stray doggie. A hellhound I wonder if we will see how many little dragon hounds there might be in the next book... its also interesting that Death might have hope with Rage's help for a life more like Nights... but as he is a God and not a Demigod I wonder... oops that's another story too. As you can see this story leaves you happy but looking forward to more. I tried not to tell you too much but its a fun story with Rage and Death it is quite ironic humour oh and the Hellhound she makes it exciting.

The son of Ares, Rage, and Nia, a hellhound make quite the pair. Neither want to be in a relationship, but fate seems to have different plans for them. Nia is stuck in servitude to to a soul hunter, and what a bastard he is. But he is powerful. So powerful that Nia feels Rage is the only one that can help free her from his shackles.
I really enjoyed this book. It was very satisfying to see the changes in Rage as the book progressed. But I’m all about redemption of a broken bird. I loved his interaction with Nia. She was a great MFC, strong but with a little vulnerability thrown into the mix. I would love to read and update on this couple via a novella.
I definitely recommend this book, and the series as a whole. Read them in order, you’ll enjoy it so much more. And now I can’t wait for TRIDENT’S STORY!! All I can say is that the MFC had better not be awful.

All is not what it seems
Rage has a Doberman that started following him everywhere towards the end of the last book. We find out more about the dog and quite a bit about what makes Rage the way he is. He also finds a woman that he is interested in but he fights the attraction.
Nia has been watching Rage and knows that he is the only one that can help her to escape the demigod that is after her. She will try almost anything to get free of his control.
I love these dragon/demigods. They each have difficulties of some kind from their past that they have to work through in order to become the hero of the story. But they persevere to become better men full of love and caring.
Hades seems to be involved in most of the stories. I guess there must be a bad man somewhere in order for the good to stand out stronger and Hades seems to be that man.
Trident's story is next. I wonder just what kind of woman it will take to bring him to his knees and change his ways.

I was supposed to finish up my Christmas shopping yesterday buttttt I couldn’t put the book down. 🤣 (totally worth it !) The lord of Chaos aka Rage is the son of Ares and has the temperament to back it up. “Mean and Surly” are the perfect adjectives to describe him, okay throw in hot 🙄🤣. Nia is a little special and I won’t tell you her origins because you have to be just as surprised as me. But she’s running from someone and the only person with enough power to protect her is Rage. What she doesn’t know is Rage has vowed to never unleash his power EVER again. Throw in some sexual chemistry and we have a winner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! I loved their story because neither was looking for or open to love until they found each other. And find each other they did in this action packed romance with trips down memory lane and even a trip to the underworld it was one heck of a ride! L O V E D I T ‼️

Dragon Shifter series. Author threw in a side of “Demi-god” for spice. Book hero’s personalities took on aspects based after their “Greek god” fathers. Can’t say that really added much for me personally.

A love story for Rage and Nia
This is book seven and it features the demigod named Rage. I like that we learn about Rage’s history and what has him chocked up about his powers. Rage lives alone in his cabin. Until one day a Doberman, the dog, comes to hang out with Rage. This dog has become attached to Rage and he is not happy and tries hard to find a home for the dog and ends up taking it to the dog shelter. It is too funny when Death shows up at Rage’s home asking about his new dog. Of course, Rage’s response is that I don’t have a dog. Death lets Rage know that the dog is a special type of shifter. This is how Rage meets Nia; a woman running from her abusive master. The question is will Rage agree to help Nia defeat this evil. There is a happy ending. Many of our favorites are part of this story Death, Trident, Hades, Twelve, Star, Jarrod, and Night. Read On!

Rage has been one of the more aloof characters in this series even though he always comes through for his fellow dragon demigods. What is the most entertaining aspect of this book is how invested he get in saving Nia and losing his heart to her in the process.
Nia on the other hand has no intention of ever attaching herself to anyone ever again after the year she spent in hell, literally. In all their attempts to escape Hades’ head huntsman they are aided by Death and Trident. Everything involving these two are either insightful or hilarious because you know, it’s Tri. So many good feels in this book because you can see Rage falling head over heels for Nia.

Best in the series
If you like a little stank on your happily ever after, this is the ultimate title for you. I admit to really liking every title Hartnady has produced, yet this one is above and beyond. I mostly read romance as the ultimate escape from reality. Rage and Nia's story does fit the basic fast and hard romance bill, but the receipts are for a five-star dining experience. I could truly feel Nia's desperation and devotion to self-preservation without sacrificing her own moral compass. Rage is the bad boy we all secretly hoped for at the heart of our own bad boy experiences. Nia didn't have to change a darn thing about herself or her bad boy to earn his heart. The stank is real which makes the love all the more appealing!

Absolutely loved!!!
Wow!!!! Who would have thought that Rage and Nia’s story would be my favorite so far?! It was absolutely wonderful. It was full of action and romance and lots of information on Tri and Death and Hades. I can’t wait for Lord of Tears next! I know it’s going to be an amazing story. Tri is already one of my favorite guys so I’m excited! I also know Death’s story is gonna be so good. I’m loving this series! Each book gets better and better! I loved Rage and Nia so much. Lord of Chaos❤️
I’ve been dying to get my hands on Rage’s story and it’s finally here and it’s spectacular❣️Rage has recently come into having a stalker.....of the doggie variety....but unbeknownst to him, this dog is special😜

Lord of chaos
Absolutely brilliant, this one will hold a spot as one of my favourites as i am Welsh and all my boys went to Llangranog for school trips. I loved when she called him a mochyn and then he did the same. Gave me the giggles.
I adored rage and nia was the perfect heroine for him. I was interested in the whole hell hound aspect too, that was different.
My heart breaks for death, i hope he gets a book soon.
Once again a brilliant instalment for the series that leaves me wanting more of these Dragon demi gods!!

What a chaotic ride! Rage and Nia had me all up and down the feelings spectrum. This was another good read by Hartnady! I won't go into details, but if you're a fan of any of her previous books, you'll enjoy this one. If you're new, start at book 1, then read everything else she's written lol. Dragons, vampires, shifters, demigods, and sexy times. She can't write fast enough for me and I just want more. I eagerly await Trident's story and hopefully Death's.

I received this book for an honest review. I'm sorry to say I can only give it 5/5 stars. In my opinion it's a ten star book. Loved the characters, loved the story line. Kept me on the edge of my seat from the first paragraph. Just couldn't put it down. I fell in love with Rage when he was first introduced in a previous book. Finally he got his HEA. His story was very well written and thought out.

Rage and his (dog). Omg he is so funny. What a man. I had tears rolling down my cheeks from laughing. I had so much fun with this book. Couldn't stop reading. Thunk this may be one of my favorite books of them all.
It is a great read in this dark time. It gave me so much pleasure. What a great gift it is.
It has made my day and i am sad i finished it. Hope to see a good story for death soon

I really think this is an interesting story! Nia is one badass chick! She knows what needs to be done and is willing to make many sacrifices to do it. Chaos is a loner who is shaped by his past but is still more than he seems. There are lots of twists, turns, and sexy scenes.
I did find the beginning a bit confusing and wished the erotic scenes had more build up. Overall a great addition that I couldn't put down!!

Rage is strong, sweet and loyal. Nia needs someone strong and is ready to go for it. With imminent danger what will the duo decide? Lots of action in this well written romance. I love the fact that the group of friends come together to help each other every time no questions asked.
