The devil has been my fated mate for all of time. But can I forgive him for what he's done?
Lucifer and Eve. Hades and Persephone. Lucas and Hannah.
We’re dark and light. Wrong and right. Day and night.
I’ve lived a hundred lives, and in each one he finds me and claims me—and then I die. Violently. Usually in his arms. We’re inevitable…and cursed.
Until now.
With a shocking act of violence, Lucifer broke the curse and ended our wicked cycle. I’ve been reborn for the last time, but at what cost? Can we stop the evil we’ve unleashed upon the world?
Lucifer and Hannah's story continues in the sinfully sexy second book in the Claimed By Lucifer trilogy.

The first book had love, respect, yearning, and was really engaging. So while the ending left me hesitant, I figured I'd try this book. Nope. If you want a strong female character? Pass on this. If you want a romantic relationship that makes you swoon? Pass on this. I feel this is thinly veiled endorsement of marital rape. Oh she could say no and set boundaries? But now they're together so he overrules her when she says no? I got a third the way through the book before I just couldn't take how cringe it was.
The author needs alpha readers with standards if this got past them.
Maybe my mood changed while I was reading this book or maybe I had different expectations after the previous book, but I just didn't love this one. It seemed a little bland compared to how the story started and I honestly lost interest by the end. Even with the big, very active, scenes going on it didn't hold my interest much. I finished the series since I knew if I stopped after this book I'd most likely forget about it and overall it was good.
We jump straight back into this hot mess right where we left off. Hannah discovers she's an angel! WHAAAAAAAAT!? you say?
Same guys. Same.
Lucifer, and Hannah's sketchy angel sister, Jophile, decide to drop several giant life bombshells on dear old Hannah because finding out you aren't who you think you are is to Vanilla. Mentally fuck her up as best you can, as early as you can I say.
After Hannah coming to some sort of semi stable mental state, lucifer decides he has to have a quick fingerbang session with her straight after a workout to assert his feelings to her.
That gave me strong Hunt and Bryce vibes. Don't ever do that in real life. Just.....yuck.
To help Hannah love him again he gave that bitch a garden....bitches love gardens. Especially when she was Persephone in a past life
Now, shits about to get weird folks. Turns out these two have kids. Yeeeeah. Now because all these past life memories are coming back, she's turned into a mother hen, then gets duped but her ten bazillion year old son. Get your shit together HANNAH.
Suddenly now we are dealing with THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE
Adam is still there, being a fucking asshat as per usual.
Everything predictably turns to shit, and Hannah is zero help.
Hot seed is still a thing unfortunately. And everyone screams as they cum. R.I.P everyone else in the vicinity. You inconsiderate Doucecanoes.

Lucifer broke the curse. Hundreds of years, hundreds of lives each one finding love with Lucifer and ending in death by Adam's hand. No more. This time Lucifer killed her. However, just because the curse is broken doesn't mean Hannah is safe or that she and Lucifer get their HEA. The Archdemons are still trying to overthrow Lucifer and Adam is still a threat. The curse may be broken but their biggest battle is yet to come. They may not walk away from it but they will face it together.
I have mixed feelings. I enjoy Hannah and Lucifer. Somehow, however I got it into my mind this was a duet, so as the ending neared and it became clear the story wasn't over, I was disappointed. This is on me, but still. Anyway, it was a compelling story. Action, passion, betrayal, heartache, and heartbreak. I got frustrated with Hannah. She focused too much on being mad. I didn't get it at all. And she paid the ultimate price for holding on to anger. I did like her 'finding herself', putting pieces of her lives together to discover who she truly is. Lucifer took everything in stride. He never pressured her to forgive, only to be at his side. I love this fallen anger. He's so sexy, domineering, and powerful, yet he allows Eve/Persephone/Lenore/Haniel/Hannah to completely rule his heart. I can't tell you how attractive I find this! The story was enthralling. So many twists and turns, so much action, so many little details proving the meticulous care Ms Briggs took constructing and writing this story. I also loved the extended family/crossover characters. I look forward to seeing how it all plays out.
I have mixed feeling through some of it. Particularly with hannah in the first part of the story because she frustrated me to no end with her grudge holding. Now... I get it. She is an emotionally driven character who has been through it 1000 times over. But lord for a moment I didn't like her.
Now her and Lucifer have crazy chemistry and a undeniable connection that spans lifetimes with so much history. It's hard to deny that, it's felt through the pages. She is the soft to his hard. The peace to his war and his reasoning.
I adore the dedication he has to his woman. I love his whole alpha personality with a side of sweet. And I love that Hannah stands up to him when no one else will and pushes his buttons on the regular. They have a fascinating dynamic.
Their journey once again was very bumpy and unpredictable. Their life isn't easy and people keep testing them in ways that go beyond earth. It's action packed, suspenseful, frustrating, heartbreaking and steamy all rolled into one.
There are some interesting revelations and some real heartbreaking realities. It truly is an emotional rollercoaster that packs a punch.
Now book two left us on a epic cliffy and I'm interested to see where book three takes us.
The book was okay. It was a Kindle Unlimited find. I liked it enough to finish it, and I don't consider it a bad book. This book, as well as the first and third, are quick reads and easy to get through. There wasn't a WOW factor but I did enjoy the plot and take on "Hades and Persephone". I am intrigued by some of the other characters though so I might read those as well. I wouldn't go back for a second read but I would recommend it as a lazy vacation read.
In book 2, Hannah find her true self. Lucifer is learning to accept her as an equal and help her learn her way with her new found self. A definite must read!
I’m not sure why I picked this series up. It’s not my usual genre. Although I don’t love it, not for any other reason than it’s just not my thing, I do have to know what happens next.
Sabe o dito popular quanto maior a altura maior a queda?
Book two of claimed by Lucifer trilogy the next thrilling instalment in this magnificent series loved reading it, it was awesome and just like the previous book full of unexpected surprises that you don’t see coming. I loved reading Hannah with her sons Kassiel and Belial I do hope we get to see Damien in the next book. I loved the fact that she meets her nephew Callan the son of Jophiel and archangel Michael who is one of the mates to half demon half angel hybrid Olivia daughter of Lilith and archangel Gabriel and Marcus the son of Archangel Raphael. It was sad to read about Jophiel’s death as she protected Hannah from Adam.
Following the events of the previous book Hannah aka Haniel aka Eve aka Lenore and many many names has just been revived after being killed by Lucifer her mate. Struggling with the memories she has regained and the feeling of betrayal from Lucifer although he did it to break the reincarnation curse but unfortunately if she is killed by Adam or anyone else she will stay dead. The betrayals keep coming when she learns that Jophiel made her human and bound her powers that only resurfaced because of what Lucifer did. She gets all her memories back including the fact that forty years ago she was killed when she was seven months pregnant with her unborn daughter. Kassel, Damien and Belial are her sons and she’s determined to reunite her family but Belial harbours hatred for Lucifer because of her curse leading him to be the one with Adam who was behind the attacks in the previous book. Adam stole Samaels ancient book including the location to the four elder gods the only creatures strong enough to defeat Lucifer. Pestilence, War, Famine and Death Lucifer’s father the one that cursed him and Eve. Hannah struggles to connect to her true self she doesn’t know who she is her whole life has been a lie, Hannah also is struggling with controlling her powers both light and dark powers something completely unheard of. the situation is dangerous especially when Adam becomes possessed by Pestilence and a battle erupts In the remains of heaven where War is released to save Belial his son Lucifer sacrifices himself and becomes War. Hannah with no choice traps him in heaven. But Pestilence aka Adam escapes, Belial tells Hannah he was going to release War and become one with him to fight Pestilence to protect her from Adam. So how Hannah is truly the queen of Hell with Lucifer being possessed by War and trapped and if things aren’t complicated enough looks like she’s pregnant with Lucifer’s child. I loved this book, this series has been a entertaining and enjoyable read so far I am looking forward to reading the last instalment to see what happens next with these amazing characters I definitely recommend reading this series
Good start in book one, even though it felt like the tv series. This is a review for book 2 and 3, will post it with both.
But I hated these books, and here is why: (Spoilers coming)
1. I hate pregnancy trope, but it kind of fitted in the story so I ignored it for as long as I can 2. Your fucking son tries to overthrow his fathers kingdom, kidnaps his mother and almost starts an apocalypse, but you still forgive him???? Big no 3. Hannah just like that wins from an elder god living in her body, while all Lucifer needs is a hug from Hannah and all is good? Too easy, even for a fantasy book. 4. Everything happens at once or nothing at all for quite a while. 5. Plot hole: chapter 25, brandy is a first time mom. Didn’t she like have a son in book one, where did he go, also her very sick mother is cured and then disappears completely ??? Very weird
Other books from this author are way better, and I think she wanted too much in too small books.
I will not read the 4th book about Belial, because he annoys me and I don’t want to see him happy🙈
Unfortunately the continual arguing was very annoying and it’s not like they even argued for the sake of resolution. It’s was just so repetitive. Then the fact that he killed her and was all “oh, how will she ever forgive me, how will I ever forgive myself” and then when she’s rightfully angry he’s essentially like, “well too bad I don’t care if you’re mad, I’m your mate no matter what, get over it”. What?! THEN she’s all “well I’m sleepy and while my head is angry the rest of me is just so happy in his arms so I guess I’ll go back with him to rest”. And that back and forth was in the first 5% of the book. I pushed through for a bit but when the arguments kept going on and on? Couldn’t do it.
But curious as to why the human Hannah can’t come to terms right away with her mate doing what must be done? I mean she herself said she was willing to do anything to end the curse. Not to mention bitch came out on top!? Would have been better if she didn’t act like such a crappy woman! Woo is me. We broke the curse.
Loved the second installment of Claimed by Lucifer series, but now I have to wait until May 3rd for book three and I'm having withdrawals. Great worldbuilding, great characters and hot romance.

Fabulous job Elizabeth, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.
Devilish Mate is the 2nd book in the Claimed by Lucifer series, and this book is packed with not only romance, but action, intrigue, sorrow, betrayal, redemption and sooo much more. Book 1 ended with doozy of a cliffhanger and I'm extremely happy to say that it wasn't what it looked like...I mean it WAS (lol) but not. Even so, Hannah feels betrayed by Lucifer and isn't sure if she can forgive him, even though his actions were for a good reason. Through his actions, her powers and wings start reappearing causing her to go back to get sister Jo to gain back her memories. With her memories intact, she discovers that she is still in the same lifetime when she was an angel. She goes to visit her eldest son, and this is where everything goes downhill. Adam is trying to release the 4 horsemen... which will pretty much destroy the world... and he has some unexpected help. The final battle in this book is epic... and heartbreaking at the same time.
Omg this book has left me in a total book hangover and I'm biting at the bit for the next book to find out what happens.
This book gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and a wholeheartedly 100% recommendation from me for not only this book, but the series and the Seraphim Academy universe all together. I can already see how more spinoffs can be made ... Lilith and Zel need their own stories... and maybe even one for Belial.
The back and forth, the 'traveling here/traveling there', the author kept "telling" us about what was happening and going on but the book didn't feel immersive or pull me in. The book takes place in less than a month - FMC now has her powers back, she has to figure out if she could forgive Lucifer, she has to learn about being an Angel again, she goes through training session in combat and Angelic Powers, she learns she has 3 sons and lost her only daughter in pregnancy - do we get more than 1 scene for all of this? No. The 2nd book could've been SOOOO much better by allowing the FMC time to figure things out (without traveling here/there/everywhere), having conversations with the other important characters (like her son(s)) we've been introduced to by allowing them fill her/us in on what has been going on, other characters help her go through her memories from past lives. Or we could've had her and Lucifer, over a week or so, sit down and have a f'ing conversation about themselves...but no,we gotta rush past all that and unleash the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypses instead. And I looked it up - she winds up being pregnant at the end with it ending on a cliffhanger. I'm done.
The spicy scenes don't evoke any kind of emotion. Is some of it hot? Yeah, sure. But it's also mediocre.
Not finishing the series. Would give 0.5/5 stars if I could.
Love the action, love the premise dealing with angels and demons, and love the sweet, passionate connection between Hannah and Lucifer! So far, this has been a really enjoyable series! I’d recommend reading book 1 before this one, and warning! there’s a cliffhanger in this book.
Lucifer killed Hannah to break the curse on them, but yay!! he had a plan to bring her back. Unfortunately, Hannah isn’t exactly happy that Lucifer killed her. Hannah is also dealing with a lot of surprising things that are making life quite difficult for her. It is a bit annoying how much she keeps giving Lucifer heck, but I appreciate her sass and her strength. Lucifer is awesome; love how supportive and passionate he is about Hannah. These two have so much going on, and lots of enemies. There is danger all around! Fun action! Lots of old and new developments and secrets coming to light that are mostly upsetting. This is the only series I’ve read by this author so far, so the crossover characters didn’t add to the story for me since I don’t really know their story. Still a fun idea though! I’m actually not reading reverse harem anymore, so I probably won’t read that series, but the characters add an interesting. Overall, such an entertaining read!
She has to understand why he killed her. I mean... I get it ... she's like WTF but if he told her anything then it would've not worked. Like he said it had to be a crime of passion and he couldn't tell her what he planned. She should understand and realize that killing her was the hardest thing he's ever done. I mean come on - he couldn't ever hurt her and he had to fight himself to do it and if it failed, he would've had to live with himself. Although, I am pretty pissed at her son. After every thing he put her through, I don't see how he can come back from that. Yeah, trying to over throw his dad is one thing... but kidnapping and plotting against his own mom. Using her love for him against her ... that's messed up. Even after everything Beleil did, Lucifer still sacrificed everything, sacrificed himself and his memory of his mate, for his son. That's amazing for Lucifer .. and brave .. but does Beleil really deserve it? This was a good story. I was not sure how the author was going to get around to saving them. It all seemed like huge risks that had a large possibility of not working. I really wanted to cry at the end though. I have been really enjoying this series.
General Thoughts: I am obsessed with Hades & Persephone retellings, especially when paired with them being tragic fated mates/soul mates across time. So this one hit all my spots.
I binge-read this one immediately after finishing the first in the series. In fact I binge-read this entire series and 2/3 of the interconnected series that actually happens before this one in a day.
I loved Lucas Ifer and his character and his development here. A lot of the side-characters were annoying and questionable with what they did (but intentionally so.) This is also the book where I realized I should have read the Seraphim story first. But you can definitely read it as a standalone series and be fine too.
If you are a PNR fan, check this one. It's a good series.
Quote: “Are you going to steal my soul? Should I be afraid?” “Oh, Hannah. Your soul already belongs to me.”
Steam Meter: ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Pretty steamy and hot.
Romantic Tropes -interconnected spin-off series -trilogy (with a related fourth book) -fated mates/soul mates across time -morally grey MMC -Hades and Persephone retelling
