Working my way through Christmas books already on my kindle ~ this one's been there since January 2021.

Hollee & Tannen
She is a big fan of Christmas and goes all out every year. He's not a fan at all but perhaps the new curvy hottie next door can change his mind.

I really enjoyed Hollee's relationship with her brother, Noel. Yup, Hollee and Noel...their parents really love Christmas apparently. I wonder what their names are ~ Carol and Nick? Mary and Joseph? Angel and Angelo?

Overall, this was fine and Christmasy, but I was hoping that since it's only 47 pages we wouldn't have any drama, but not the case. We've got an ex that causes drama which leads to false accusations with way too quick forgiveness, and first time 'I'm clean' no condom use...you literally met a day and a half ago. I guess it's hard to say no if his abs look anything like the cover models.

Hollee starts her Christmas out with a BANG – as a truck driven by an older man who forgot his glasses comes barreling through the front of her house, toppling her Christmas tree and forcing her to relocate for the immediate future. She finds temporary housing in Snowflake Falls, her brother, Noel, joining her to help her unpack. Carrying a heavy box, she can’t see when her hair blows across her eyes, until a huge, handsome man takes the box easily from her while she pushes back her hair. Then he goes into the house next door. Yummy! Then both Hollee and Noel immediately realize they don’t have coffee to get them through this unpacking phase! Fortunately, another plus for this neighborhood, there is a little coffee shop around the corner, so Hollee heads out to get them something delicious.

Her sexy neighbor is standing in the line at the coffee shop and, as she tries to quietly sneak into line, not wanting him to see her reindeer boots and stupid pom-pom hat covering fluffy hair, she slips on ice and slides on her knees face-first buried in his crotch! She even left behind a huge lipstick mark on his pants.

Tannen, a landscaper and arborist, selling Christmas trees at the family business, We Tree Kings, hates the Christmas season since it marks the date when his girlfriend walked out on him for another guy. But maybe things are about to change as he meets his neighbor again -- who adores everything Christmas -- in a thoroughly unconventional way. She shakes his hand and they feel a jolt of electricity. This girl feels made just for him! She explains why she moved next door and how she desperately needs a tree, so he invited her over to look through the extras he had in his back yard. Unfortunately, after 3 years since their breakup, Natalie shows up to ask for money to keep her dad in a nursing home. Hollee arrived, saw the woman, and left. But in no time at all, he’s knocking on her door with a tree and a stand, ready to set it up for her. He explains Natalie’s visit and, to make sure she knows there are no lingering feelings there, he pulls her close and kisses her.

Tannen and Hollee have incredible sizzling chemistry. But there will be a misunderstanding regarding missing funds that stresses their budding relationship. Will Hollee walk out on him over the false accusation? Are they finished before they got started?

This is a cute story line, although I hate how Natalie uses Tannen. Will everything get sorted out to lead to a HEA? Or will the Christmas season forever remind Tannen of his broken heart?

Alright....we've gotta talk about the elephant in the room. If someone ever accuses me of stealing from them, they are immediately getting thrown out of my house or told to get away from me. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

Tannen tells Hollee that he was upset, not because she put up and decorated a tree in his house, but because all his money had been stolen and he suspected her of doing it. But oh, ha ha, turns out it wasn't you, and I'm extremely jealous of whoever that blonde guy was in your car! And Hollee's reaction? To explain that the guy is her brother and ask how Tannen is going to make it up to her. GIRL.....bye. Where's the very justified anger and hurt???

Their interactions felt really robotic, too. I didn't get any fire or passion between them, but they're suddenly in bed together? Despite him thinking that the blonde guy in her car might be her boyfriend, a misconception that doesn't get cleared up until way later. The only interactions that really felt genuine were those between Hollee and her brother, Noel.

This one didn't do it for me. It was too much, too quick, and that accusation really did me in. I don't care how hunky you are. You accuse me of something like that, and we're done.

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, ups, downs, drama and the good kind that makes you turn the page until there are no more to turn. Short and steamy about a curvy girl and a hot next-door neighbor. An accident brought these two together forcing her to move in a nick of time and gets a little with moving in from her neighbor with some of her heavier boxes. Once they realize they do not have any coffee they go down to the coffee shop after a particular funny mishap where they continue to get to know each other. Tannen knows she was made just for him and when she come to their Christmas Tree farm but will he realize love is worth trying again and will Hollee accept that is broken and whole at the same time and are these two willing to put in the work for a road to happiness?

Hollee ends up in a house in Snowflake Falls after her own home is damaged in an accident, and instantly she notices her new hot, burly next door neighbour. Tannen is an arborist and Christmas tree farmer who is rather Grinchy after a bad breakup a few Christmas Eves ago. But when Hollee slides into his life (a reference to hilarious second - but first official - meeting), his ideas of Christmas start to shift. These two have incredible chemistry together, and are quite engaging. Hollee's brother, Noel, is an entertaining addition to the story. Jessa Joy's Christmas with the Guy Next Door is a quick, but definitely steamy and sweet read.

This is a sweet, cute, sexy romance Christmas story. If you don't like smooching and OTT holiday read then please don't read this book. I love how Hollee had to move out of her house and into a temporary house because a truck ran into her house right at Christmas time. She happens to meet her neighbor when she's moving into her new place. Tannen sells Christmas trees and he has the bod to carry them. They get together and he thinks that the blonde he sees with her is a boyfriend. There is another misunderstanding that Tannen has to apologize to Hollee for but it makes since when you read the book. Insta-love holiday.

Tannen hates Christmas due to a bad experience. Even though he hates it he still is surrounded by it due to his work. When Hollee moves in next door he finds himself embracing more of the season because she loves it. Overall this story is cute and will pass a little time, it's almost over too fast though. I didn't find myself really connecting with the characters or overly invested in their HEA. If you're looking for a fast read with some steam then you'll probably enjoy this.

I have never read this author before and I’m glad I took a chance because the title caught my eye. I loved reading Hollee and Tannen’s story and it has to be said that Hollee is a clumsy yet adorable klutz! She definitely had me smiling throughout and Tannen definitely had me blushing with all his sexy and smooth ways. I’m looking forward to reading the next adventure.

Tanner is not a Christmas person because his girlfriend went AWOL on Christmas Eve and did not hear from her until New Years Eve. Hollee is all things Christmas. There is some drama, but mostly just a happy sweet story of finding love. This is a short story. The way Jessa Joy described the scenes was great. There were a couple of times that things just ended with no follow up, which I would have liked but did not take away from the book. Happy Christmas story and a great book.

This was a quick holiday romance that moved rather quickly, guess that would make sense. The plot was decent and the characters were okay. The plot takes place over the course of a few days so the events happen quick and one right after the other. The characters were strong and knew what they wanted but at the same time quick to judge without actually communicating to find out answers.

I give this a four out of five stars. The plot was quick and steamy and the characters were strong but stubborn.

I think...

I think that if this had been a lil less obviously let me get into her pants and a little more fleshed out I could see this being a good series but I am not really surprised by the pace of which things happened in this book. When you set out to have a love story/hea/instalove all in one short story there is a way to do it where the story doesn't feel rushed or disinegenuine and like the mmc is only after her body

The sparks fly when Hollee collides with her new neighbor, Tannen, and Hollee’s infectious holiday cheer is getting under Tannen’s Grinch skin. Soon they can’t keep their hands off each other and when a misunderstanding threatens to tear them apart, Tannen knows he will have to let down his guard to show Hollee she is the only woman for him.

This was a fun and cute romance. I loved Tannen and Hollee’s second meeting - I couldn’t stop laughing! The chemistry between Tannen and Hollie was steamy hot and they are both such likeable characters that you want them to reach their HEA.

This is a very short, very steamy, humorous, Christmas romance story. There is even a little mystery at the end. The characters and setting are realistic and fun. It is a complete story with a happily ever after, I just wish it was a little longer.

This quick Christmas read has humour, family, friends, romance, connection, chemistry, pasts and love. I saw some things coming and others I didn't. I will say this, Tannen really lucked out with Hollee as I'm not sure every woman would have responded she way she did.

Hollee loves Christmas and her family loves Christmas that’s why her parents names her Hollee and her brother is named Noell. Hollee works from home and an accident happens that demolishes her one wall and she has to relocate for the holidays. Tannen is a landscaper but at Christmas he cuts and delivers Christmas trees. Tannen doesn’t like Christmas because a few years ago his girlfriend left at Christmas. Tannen is Hollee’s new neighbor. Tannen meets Hollee and offers to help her with her tree. They have a couple of incidents before this which are funny and entertaining. One thing Tannen nows is that he wants to get to know Hollee. When they touch it is electric. The characters are likable and the story is a light read with a little drama and suspense along the way and it is a quick little read that will brighten your day!

Hollee and her brother Noel, find themselves on their owns for Christmas this year. Just when they thought things were going good, a wild turn causes her to have to move. At the temporary place, she was taken by her neighbor, Tannen. Tannen owned a tree farm, but because of a past relationship, Christmas was not a time of the year he cared for, but when Hollee came into his life there was a new light.

This fun short story has a bit of drama, some laugh and a lot of heat that will have you glued to seat page after page.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I really enjoyed this one.

Tanner and Hollee met when someone runs into the front of her home and she has to move to Snowflake Falls. Tanner is Hollee's next door neighbor, he hates Christmas because of his ex-girlfriend cheated on him and left him on Christmas Eve two years ago. Hollee loves Christmas and she is trying to recreate Christmas like her parents celebrated while they're away on a cruise. Hollee sees Tanner from her window but thinks he's too hot to introduce herself. Hollee goes to the coffee shop, she slips and falls right into Tanner's crotch. Tanner and Hollee introduce themselves, and she asks him about a Christmas tree. Tanner asks Hollee if she'd like to come over and pick one out. Hollee goes home and her brother Noel helps her get ready to go to her hot neighbors to pick out a tree. When Tanner gets home he gets a visit from his ex-girlfriend who is in town because her father is sick. Tanner's ex-girlfriend asks him if she can borrow some money since her dad isn't able to work. Hollee comes over just as Tanner is giving his ex-girlfriend the money and asking her to leave. Hollee tells Tanner she'll come back later, since he's busy she heads home to do some work illustrating. Later Tanner comes over with a tree for Hollee, he puts it up for her. Tanner explains about his ex-girlfriend to Hollee. Then Tanner kisses Hollee, while they are kissing he gets a phone call from one of his workers that they need his help so he leaves. Hollee asks Tanner to come back the following night after she has the Christmas tree decorated. The next day the day can't go by fast enough for Tanner, Hollee texts him and asks him how he's doing. Tanner heads to Hollee's and they sit and talk for a while, then start kissing, soon they are pleasuring one another then they make love. They spend the whole week together, when Tanner is done work he heads to Hollee's house. Hollee asks Tanner for a key to his home so that she can decorate. When Tanner gets home he finds that someone took all the money out of his safe, it's the money from his tree service. Tanner calls his partner and tells him. Tanner's partner tells him he'll go to the police station and make a report. While Tanner's partner is at the police station he finds out that Tanner's ex-girlfriend had his money. Tanner thinks that Hollee is the one that took his money. When Hollee gets home she waves at Tanner but he just scowls at her. Hollee thinks Tanner doesn't like his decoration, so she heads to her room and cries. Tanner finds out what happened to the money, then heads to town and buys Hollee a present. Tanner messages Hollee asking her if they can talk. Tanner heads to Hollee's to tell her what happened and apologizes to her. Tanner kisses Hollee and she forgives him. One year later, Hollee is pregnant. Hollee tries to put an ornament on the Christmas tree but can't reach, Tanner helps her. Then Tanner goes down on one knee and tells her he was going to wait for Christmas Day but he can't. Tanner asks Hollee to marry him and she tells him yes. Hollee turned Tanner's life around, and it's the greatest gift he could wish for.

Eu comecei a leitura super empolgada com a Hollee e o Tannen. Mas aí apareceu a ex dele e a coisa já começou a desandar para mim. A periga o havia abandonado 3 anos atrás, fugido com outro homem, e agora estava de volta. O que mais me chateou foi a postura idiota do Tannen. A mulher chegou lá como se ainda fosse dona do cara, dona do lugar e pediu dinheiro. Ele simplesmente deu, sem averiguar se a história dela era real. Ah, e eu mencionei que ele havia marcado de se encontrar com a Hollee? Ele deixou a mocinha ir embora e ficou lá com a ex, enquanto ficava dizendo a si mesmo que a mocinha era prioridade. Como assim??? Que babaca! Achei muito bem feito o que aconteceu a seguir, o que a ex aprontou com ele. Estava na cara que aquilo ia acontecer, eu estava só esperando para levantar a plaquinha do "eu já sabia". Mas o mocinho provou ser um pamonha pior do que eu pensava, porque acreditou que quem havia aprontado com ele tinha sido a mocinha. Cara, nem passou pela cabeça dele que a ex estava por trás de tudo. Estava torcendo pra Hollee fazê-lo se arrastar e lutar pelo seu perdão. Mas não. A mulher nem ligou dele ter pensado que ela era uma ladra. Só abriu a porta, os braços e todo o resto pra ele, como se nada tivesse acontecido. Foi um dos finais mais preguiçosos e frustrantes que eu já li. O livro poderia ter sido muito melhor. Uma pena!

Plot: When Hollee has to move out of her home right before Christmas, the insurance company puts her in a temporary place right next door to Tannen, a Christmas tree-selling, Christmas-hating hunk. She's smitten, he's smitten, and everything's going well until some money disappears...

Commentary: She was so chill about him thinking that she stole all his money. I would not be as cool about it. It might have been just a mistake, but for a moment, he thought you were the kind of person that would do something like that. She didn't even make him apologize. I mean, thinking about the two people who had been in his house in the last few weeks, he automatically assumed Hollee stole the money before his scheming ex with the druggie-biker boyfriend. Okay, sounds cool!
It was okay - super short, bit of steam (happens right away).
