Shadow Isle Reformatory, a school for the good, the bad and the evil. When I say school, don’t get too excited, sweet cheeks. It’s more of a prison where people are sent when they mess up, and not everyone is here for the right reasons.
I’m one of those people.
I spent almost a year keeping to myself here, trying to lay low so I could get out and stop my sister. Preferring to distance myself as I have no idea who I can trust and who is up to no good. That is until, Eva, the ice sorceress showed up. She changed everything. When she escaped, it was all upended again.
I know she will be back for me; it’s only a matter of time. But while I wait, I have to be even more careful than I was before. Jack Frost, our so-called headmaster, is on a power trip that makes evil look considerate. He thinks I can lead him to her. What he doesn’t count on is that I’d rather eat a sea anemone than lead him to my best friend.
Just when I think I have everything figured out, a blast from my past shows up and I have to navigate whole new waters. With new teachers, new friends, and possibly new enemies, who can I trust? And can I figure out who is friend and who is foe before it’s too late?

This is a sequel to Wintertide and it makes more sense if it's read after. The authors did it again! They seamlessly continue the story where the previous book left off and made me love this series even more. It is fast paced, full of action and hot and steamy. Not only the authors seamlessly continue the story where it left off, they beautifully shift the focus to Una, Eva’s roomie and best friend, and follow her adventures in the Reformatory, which are quite interesting. Una is a complete opposite from Eva, she is loud and outgoing and so far from shy and innocent that it makes this book even funnier and more entertaining than the first one. I just love series that keep in getting better with each book. Authors also introduce some new interesting characters and I cannot help but hoe they will write more books featuring them. There is Ry, Una’s new roomie, then there is Shy, a captive from the dungeons, there is a new professor Chan, and they all fit beautifully in the story and add to the whole idea beautifully. I love it how the authors answered so many questions left from the previous book and at the same time created new ones for future. I all makes perfect sense and it’s done really really well. I am dying to read more and find out all the answers the authors are hiding. I really loved this book and the series and how well these two authors write together. It’s an absolute joy to read their work and I hope they will be writing together for a long time.
Ariel sister, tinkerbelle, The evil Queens son and mulan(?) Meet up in this book.
The book is well written. Being the second book in a series, the transition is very smooth. We start right before Eva and her men escape the reformatory, giving us Unas point of view on the escape. Una is very different from Eva, and gives this story a very different humor, set of morals and set of issues.
____________
Eva had to leave Una behind. We now follow Unas time at the reformatory, as she tries to figure out who's a friend and who's a foe.
They have a new teacher. He's strict and demands to be called "sir". He offers Una extra classes in the afternoon, as she's behind on her work. Weird.
Henry is also acting weird. Jet is being jealous. Jet should not be jealous, they had an agreement! _____________
I received an ARC of this book. I'm not being paid, and this is my honest review
This is an amazing read, that once you start you will not be able to put down, no matter what you need to do. It will take you away to another world as soon as you start reading and no matter what you need to do, you will be unable to put the book down. The pace that it moves is great, making for a comfortable read. The characters are truly amazing and feel so real that you feel as though you know them personally and are there with them experiencing what they are. This book is a must read, there is no doubt about it. So read it now, you will not be sorry. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Loved this book! Eva has escaped the penitentiary leaving Una behind to look after the people left within. Una finds more than she bargained for, her mates and also a run in with a guy she saved over a year ago. Unfortuately one of her friends is being mistreated almost to the point of death. How can she save her whilst tryinh to save herself? Brilliant read.
This book was so so good with una and her men this time having to escape the school with new people. This book was action packed, steam filled, Disney based perfection. I can't wait till the next book comes out definitely five stars from me!!
This is the second book to the series by Melody Calder and Everly Taylor. This book picks up right where the first book left us, but focuses on Una rather than Eva.
I normally don't like when in a series you flip between different main characters from one book to another, but I really enjoyed it with this one. I felt like it continued on the story, but gave us a different perspective and allowed us to find more information while introducing us to new characters. I continue to enjoy the references to characters that are very Disney-ish, but more grown up.This book deals with some harsher subjects than the first book and can be a little bit harder to read because of that, but handled them really well and made the book better because of it.
I am so looking forward to the next book on wondering who will be our main character as it could go between Ry and Shay. I also can't wait to find out what happens with Eva and her inheritance, as well as, Una's and Adar's kingdoms. If you really enjoy a good read that hooks you in and keeps you wanting more this is a series you should definitely start.
This is the second book in the series and it picks up right from were the first book finished and is just as good as the first book. We follow Una’s story and I love her character is so sassy and witty even when she is in front of the headteacher Jack Frost. We also get to meet una guys and see how there relationships develop and as they become one unit together. As they fight to help shay who has been lock up in the caves and also plan there escape. Again the authors have wrote another amazing story and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.
*Spoiler Alert* Book 2 in this series kicks off where Wintertide (book 1) ended. With Una (FMC) left at Shadow Isle Reformatory and at the mercy of Jack Frost. Who is trying every trick in the book to find out where Eva & her guys including his son have fled to. Whilst trying to find a way for her and her guys Jet & Beck to escape Una finds another admirer - Adar as well as new friends Pixie/Fairy - Shay & Dragon- Ry. Oceantide is just as fast-paced and action-packed as book 1. So much going on in this one it was hard to keep up. Another great read with plenty of steamy bits. Just loving it
Una is a mermaid full of sass and I love it, this continuation of Wintertide is so fun. The introduction of new mates, guardians and Shay; a sweet little fairy adds to this tail (yes I meant tail). I love all the characters and the Disney vibe, it's a great spin on old tales. This story is so vibrant with color, from the character descriptions to the language; and lets not forget all the steamy scenes!!! Thank you Ladies!!!
I loved this book. So this book picks up right where book 1 leaves off but from the perspective of the characters that got left behind. Una, Eva's bestie and said mermaid, and her guys. Una is awesome! I really enjoyed her character- she's sassy, blunt and kind. I actually liked her more than Eva. There's a lot of twists and turns to the story but things are getting good. This is such a fun read truly and worth picking up.
I absolutely loved Wintertide, and Oceantide is just as good! I loved it! The characters are so fantastic. I really loved the new characters. I read this book straight though, I couldn’t put it down! This writing duo write amazing stories together! I cannot wait to see what comes next! This series is definitely a must read!
2nd book in the series and loving it. Una is such a sass pants I love her. I like how the series continues on from book 1 but at the same time focuses on different characters with their own issues as well. Really well written. Can’t wait for more. And the little snippets and teasers in there make me so excited!!
In Oceantide, this series starts right where it left off seamlessly shifting the attention to Eva's best friend Una, who takes the cake in this book :D We meet new characters and learn more about the world where this series is set. I loved recognizing more fairytale references. This was another great installment in the series!
The second book in this addicting series and is Una and her guys story. After the way the first book ended this one starts off right away from it. Jet, Beck and Adar are the perfect mates for Una as she is for them. Everything about this book had me hooked from start to end and I just couldn't get enough.
This picks up brilliantly from book 1, this time we follow Una's story and her guys she is still as fiesty they are all still trying to escape but Una makes a new friend Shay who has been locked up. Will they get out?. This is a fantastic spin off re telling of fairytales it is brilliantly written these authors are fantastic and I can't wait to see what happens next
Having seen some of Una in Wintertide (Book 1), I knew Oceantide would be hilarious! Everly and Melody did an amazing job with this series. You will love Una's antics and mate drama. Plus *spoiler alert*---> you get to meet some great new characters <---- *end spoiler* I absolutely loved this series and cannot wait for the next book! Highly recommend reading this!!!!

Oh I was so happy that this book came out!!! I loved Wintertide which was book 1. After I read it I was like omg they have to write another!!! Authors so did not disappoint. This one is just as good as book 1. I love these characters!!!! Seriously this is a fantastic series that you just have to read. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!!!!
Can it get even better than the first book? Yes yes it can. Like I am deceased reading this book. It is amazing. So complex and I love how it gives you multiple points of view without feeling too out of place or awkward. And the continuation and growth of the main undercurrent of the whole series is so intriguing and I can’t wait to learn more!
I just loved this book. Una is an amazing character and I can't wait to see her break bad on her sister and get the justice she deserves. I love how both books are tied in together and hopefully we will see both Eva and Una become the people the were meant to be.
This is an incredible read and continuation of the series. This book picks up right where Oceantide left off just following Una's story. I could not put this book down! Well written and amazing characters really make this read. I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
I loved Una’s character in Wintertide and I love it even more now. I felt sorry for why she was in Shadow Isle and can’t wait to see Mira get her comeuppance. I also like all the new characters were introduced to especially Adar and Shay. I really can’t wait to see where the story goes.
A land of twisted fairy tales but only if you look closely. I love this series so much I read the first two books in two days I desperately need to know what happens next. Can not wait for the next book to come out.
And here I thought book 1 was exciting. Book 2 keeps the action and heat going and ramps it up about ten times. Even the villains are more villainous. My heart is still pounding! I'm off to start book 3.
Such a fun story with a mermaid and her guys, one being the offspring of Cthulu. Unpredictable, and enough twists to keep you guessing along the way. Looking forward to more in the series.
was so excited for this book, and was definitely not disappointed!! things are not as they seem to be at Shadow Isle, then things take on a whole new dimension ...
This story picks up right where Wintertide leaves off with Una's side. Full of fun, snarly and steamy times. I can't wait to see what these authors give us next.
