Lupine: Bah Humbug!

Rate this book
It's baby Luna's first Christmas, but not everyone is excited!

Enzo Rossi hates Christmas... He's not completely sure why but he's always had a particularly strong dislike for the festivities.

It's a feeling that isn't shared with his mate Lupine and the rest of his family. They're all crazy excited about celebrating the holidays together.

But can they convince Rossi that some Christmas traditions are worth keeping?

Lupine: Bah Humbug is a Lupine bonus story and would be better read after Lupine, Lupine: Wanted by Wolves and Lupine: Trick or Treat.

This story belongs to the Silver Springs shared universe and is written from Enzo Rossi's POV.

Bah Humbug indeed.
This novella was a surprise. Instead being in Lupine's head , we get into Enzo's head and have a entire novella from his perspective. It's a welcome addition as it brings additional richness to our beloved family.
Enzo makes sense given that he hates Christmas with a passion and he is a bit of lost now that his Mafia is restricted and needs some Holiday cheer. Seeing this Mafia guy come to his sense is fun Holiday ride as Enzo doesn't do things easy. It was a nice twist that open this world further and gave a possibility of a future story.

Bradley's little novellas about this harem, are just gems. She doesn't miss a beat with them and even though we just saw them a couple of months ago so much has happened. Don't worry Enzo makes sure to update us about the important things we wanted to know about and sets up something exciting that you will look forward to in the coming months.

A short and sweet Christmas novella. Enzo (one of Lupines mates) is the main focus of this book but Lupines other mates - Kalen, Camden, Wren and Rehan all pop in and out of it too. Enzo tries to find his love of Christmas in this book. More so when new characters turn up including on grumpy dragon and Ember (who I'm sure we'll find out more about in her book). It was a cute read as well as a good one too

Oh man, I am just going to jump right into this review. I kinda feel bad for Enzo sometimes. He comes from a completely different background from the rest of the guys. I mean yeah he is mafia but seems to be harsher. I know he is trying to get on the same page as Lupine and the other guys. He is slowly getting there. So it is Christmastime and he is not fond of it. However, I feel like he was missing some sort of christmas ingredient in the past and hopefully he will find it with Lupine and the others. So to keep from dealing with the festivities and his men from doing something stupid he invests in a house to make into a hotel. Will he discover the real meaning of Christmas? Can Lupine get him to wear the Santa hat? Well we get a happy ending and it was all worth the journey for Enzo.

Every year Enzo dreads the holiday season so even though the rest of the family is excited about it he wants no part of it and will focus on work instead. Lupine, her mates and the children are determined to show him the love they have for him, the power of family and the magic of the season.

Spending time with this wild and wacky group is always fun and this story is certainly going to get you into the holiday spirit.

OMG this is an amazing story that once you start reading you cant put down. From the moment that you start you are hooked. Moves along nicely, has amazing characters and a great story. This is the perfect size book for those moments when you only have a short time to read. This book has to be read, no doubt about it.

Cute Christmas story

I loved this book! I really enjoy Lupine’s books and the fact that this one is from the point of view of Rossi makes it better, I think I like him more after this one. As always, the kids make the book better, I love to read more about them. It’s a great Christmas story, easy to read and perfect for this time of year.

I love holiday stories. Enzo doesn’t understand what all of the fuss is about Christmas but Lupine and the kids love it. Enzo starts a new adventure and a grumpy dragon threatens to ruin Christmas. Thank goodness Leon is no longer a pig.

This was such a short and funny story. We see Lupine and her men dealing with Christmas at the orphanage, a moody dragon and a lodge turned into an hotel by the mafia... you can be sure chaos ensues!

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

Lupine is one of my favorite Silver Springs stories. Not so much because of Lupine and her guys, but more so because of the kids and all the stuff they do. It can't be easy to be supernatural and orphaned, but as a reader all their tricks and their learning curves are quite interesting and most of all hilarious. I'm pretty sure most of the other characters disagree though. So, I can't get enough of this series and I was very glad that a Christmas novella was added.

Let me start with saying that, compared to the other books in this series, the kids only play a relatively small role in this book. They are threatening with some trick, but they are not the ones causing the trouble. This time. However, that doesn't mean the book is less awesome! Because, instead of the kids causing trouble, we now have a grumpy old dragon shifter causing trouble. And well, mostly for dear Enzo.

It was actually quite nice to be in Enzo's head for this short novella and to see his thought progress a little better. And, it's even more interesting to see how he's struggling with the fact that his Maffia years are over and he has to search for something new to keep himself, and maybe most of all his men, occupied. And, I think in this book one of my favorite romantic moments of all times was included. It was kinda simple, but so meaningful!

And, as we are all used to by now, Bradley wrote the book in her easy, natural and flowing writing style. I like how it was clear that this story was from a different point of view. Enzo's tone of voice was really different, his thought process was different too. In every way possible this really felt like his book. This was the story of Enzo searching, and finding, a new life, apart from being Lupine's mate and lover.

This review may contain spoilers.

Lupine: Bah Humbug, the fourth book in the Hanleigh Bradley's Lupine series (Silver Springs Collection) sees Enzo Rossi's hatred for Christmas. Enzo doesn't share the same holiday spirit as Lupine and her other mates. His memories of Christmas are him waking up early to open presents, but because of the family business, his parents were barely around to celebrate with him.

Enzo helps Lupine and the kids at the orphanage with setting up the holiday festivities, even though he would rather be doing anything else than that. Upon dropping Castalia at her magic lessons, he comes across a house in the words. He gets the idea to turn it into a hotel.

Everything seems to be great until he meets Arach a dragon shifter who wants to be left alone. But the problem is Arach lives in the house. So, Enzo tries to build the hotel around Arach who is not happy about having his space invaded by Enzo and everyone else.

Things get out of hand at the Christmas tree ceremony in town and just as the ceremony starts, Arach in dragon form destroys the Christmas tree. It is up to Enzo to save Christmas by enlisting Evanora's help to rebuild the tree just in time.

I thought this was a sweet story because it showed a different side to Enzo. He began as a rival for Lupine's affections and he wasn't well-received by the other mates when Lupine picked him as her fifth and final mate. However, he has taken on tasks like helping Lupine with the children in the orphanage, taking them to school/lessons. In addition, he seems to be appreciative of the fact that he has a family in Lupine, the kids. (And maybe the other four Cortesse mates, but I don't think he would consider them family ever.)

“Your family welcomes everyone. It’s impossible to be lonely when they’re around you guys.”

This was a great holiday novella! The kids are up to their usual shenanigans and there’s plenty of steam and humor. I enjoyed seeing Silver Springs through Enzo’s eyes. He’s a total Christmas grump even though he tries not to be to Lupine and the kids. New characters are introduced and Bob makes another appearance which I absolutely adored! I love every time Hanleigh announces another Lupine book because I love seeing the kids at the orphanage. Edmond, Castalia, and the creepy twins always make these stories so much more fun. I’m looking forward to her new book, Ember, and am hoping to see some more sequels or novellas from these characters next year as well.

A great light hearted story about Enzo in his point of view and his moody ways towards xmas ( bah humbug) . The crazy things that always seem to happen in silver springs, if it's not with the children it's something else keeps you guessing from the start as the story develops into something more while at the same time keeping you up to date with the previous story. I loved how there was new character introduced while Enzo found his was and learns the true meaning of Christmas and i loved reading every minute of it and I can't wait to read more.

Rossi does not like Christmas, his childhood memories are of being alone so he can't understand everyone else's excitement with the festive period.
It was nice to read from Enzo's POV and the book still contains all the usual chaos from the orphanage.
He finds himself with a new project and slowly starts to realise why Xmas means so much to others - he may never like wearing a santa hat but starts to enjoy the season a bit more.
If you've read the other Lupine books, you'll definitely enjoy this one.

This is one of 2 Christmas novellas released in the Silver Springs neighbourhood this year.

We're back with Lupine and her mafia in the orphanage. All the kids are excited for Christmas, but Rossi, one of her mates is less than enthusiastic!

It's interesting reading the tale solely from Rossi's POV, why he's not a fan of the holiday season, and how he grows to love it.

It's a short, sweet read, but it's always good to revisit old friends in Silver Springs, and it also introduces the lead for Hanleigh's next Silver Springs book!

Christmas and Enzo Rossi don’t mix. Too bad that Lupine loves Christmas, and with a house full of children it’s pretty hard to kill the spirit. Rossi needs something to do bow that he’s not really running a mafia family. Who comes to his rescue? The Witch in the Woods!

Rossi takes her dubious deal and sets about getting his own business up and running. But the occupant of the house he’s chosen isn’t cooperative. Can Rossi find some Christmas spirit before everything is ruined. This Lupine novella is a great holiday read!

I loved this book! This time we get it from Enzo Rossi. He absolutely hates Christmas, but for Lupine he will do anything, well apart from wear a Santa hat in the bedroom. It's a short story but it's packed from start to finish with the humour we have come to enjoy in Lupine's books.

We get to meet a new character in this book, and for once it's an adult or two instead of the kids who could ruin Christmas. I loved getting to see more inside of Enzo's brain and it made me adore him even more.

Looking forward to more from the author and their contributions to the Silver Springs stories.

A perfect Christmas read. Enzo is very much a Scrooge when it comes to Christmas. But his love for Lupine is greater. He will always do anything to make her happy. He also is searching. Everyone has something that they love to do or work with and he can’t be all Mafia in Silver Springs. So what is a wolf shifter to do with his time? The story brings out old characters and a few new ones. A great short story to continue to show the love of Lupine and her mates and a great way to introduce so new characters to Silver Springs.

This story is told from Enzo's point of view, as he, Lupine and her other mates prepare for Christmas - a holiday Enzo is not particularly fond of. To keep himself occupied in Silver Springs, he finds himself a new project, and discovers that maybe Christmas isn't so bad, after all.

This was my introduction to the Silver Springs universe, and I enjoyed it! Though the story is a novella, it is still packed with emotion, love and friendship. A short, but sweet Christmas read!

Lupine is such a wonderful character and this time is no different.

It's getting close to Christmas and everyone is feeling festive. Just not one of Luna's men. Will he stay that way or will he realize how much this holiday means this family?

I really enjoyed this story, it was a great add to Lupine's story. I jumped right in and read this in one sitting. The personalities of the characters is fun to see grow with the relationship.

This was a great sequel told from Enzo’s perspective. He seems to be struggling a bit in joining up with Lupine and finding his space. I loved this cause it shows him, gives a side of him we hadn’t seen and really draws him out. He really grows and finds a place for himself in this book and I think it’s a nice way for Lupine to wrap up if she chooses to do so here. So definitely a perfect storyline.

Christmas has arrived 🎄

I really enjoyed that this book is from the POV of Enzo Rossi. I can be honest that I was kinda on the fence about him. In this quick read we get to know alittle bit more about him. As Christmas approaches what is a mob boss to do when living in sliver springs. Rossi is surrounded by Christmas and has to figure out what his next move is.

We get to alittle of the other members of the family but the main focus is Rossi.

I am loving these additional side stories for the characters in the Spell Library series set in the magical town of Silver Springs! Getting a chance to see what Lupine, her mates, and her baby daughter have been doing is such a treat! And with it being their daughter's first Christmas, but some being a bit of a Grinch during this time of year, will everyone come together happily in the end? I can't wait to see what else we get to see in this universe.

I love Lupine and her guys! I am so feeling Enzo at the moment. Christmas is difficult for me this year, so I can relate to his feelings on the season. I love that he has developed a hotel, as it will keep him busy and I hope that we get to see more of him and the craziness that will be his hotel. The kids are always entertaining and I love to see their interaction with the adults. I can't wait to see if there are more stories about these great characters.

What a great holiday novella!! It's a interesting and entertaining read the story is solely from Enzo's perspective. I really liked that we got a chance to be inside Enzo head as he seems to be struggling a bit on where he fits in Sliver Spring. Overall a great read. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

a short, Christmas themed read - idk if I'd say this was a romance read -while I loved the characters I don't necessarily feel like you get enough if you read this as a stand alone. I loved the concept; the lack of Christmas joy / spirit and the conversion of a Grinch or scrooge to a holiday happy but for me this one just seemed lacking a little bit, I just wanted more!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review

This is an adorable short, from Enzos point of view. He dislikes Christmas, never really having a proper one, so he doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about. He does, however, want to find his own role in this quaint little town, and get a bit more than he bargained for in the process. He handles it, and get a little taste of Christmas spirit in the process. I loved the story and the insight into Enzos perspective.

Poor Enzo is overwhelmed with his new family, the situation he finds himself in constantly, and Christmas on to of everything else.
Christmas was never an important aspect in his family growing up, but being in the orphanage with all the excitement that the kids are showing, his mate's holiday spirit, and the new cub, he's starting to thaw to the idea of a bit of jingle jangle, especially if he can make Lupine's bells ring

Lupine: Bah Humbug! is a fun festive read. Enzo doesn't like Christmas. Lupine loves Christmas and is going all out for Christmas. This one is a short read but you get a lot going on in this one. I liked that it's in Enzo's POV. There are a couple of new characters in this one. I loved the dragon shifter and his story. I liked everything about this story. I hoping we get more of Lupine and her men but I'm excited to see where Ember takes us.
