Three More Shots

Rate this book
All I want, hustling into the coffee house, is to get my fix. Instead I end up chasing an obsession more powerful than my caffeine addiction - a beautiful woman who fears me for reasons I don’t expect.
After some quick stalking - I’m a mob boss, that's what I do - I find her. And, in less than twelve hours, I drive her to tears, piss her off, and earn her gratitude for saving her and her daughter.

Now I’m determined to make her mine. But, she has trust issues from her ex and with her child.

Easy solution to both problems: eliminate him and befriend her. My plan works perfectly - until an enemy discovers my only weakness and starts a war he won't survive. Because I’ll risk everything I have to protect my girls.

Heroine has been divorced for 4 years and hasn't been with anyone since

Hero was sexually active but didn't give off manh*e vibes. He was all for the heroine since he met her.

My first read by this author

The h and her daughter encounter the mafia kingpin/business man H, while at a coffee shop one morning, her autistic daughter causes a scene, the H was interested immediately and is pleased to realize she works for him making it easier to track her down
Within a week hes in love
The beauty of this book for me is the seemingly realistic portrayal of the autistic child, having no experience with autism,I must say that aspect was really well done. Her condition wasn't glossed over or prettied up, it was real and emotional.
The h was a great mom, so loving her patient
The H's struggles yet his desire to learn were beautiful to watch unfold
Very cute epilogue
All in all I enjoyed this quick read

A very sweet story about a single mom with an autistic daughter who catches the attention of her boss in a coffee shop. He develops an instant attraction and a fierce protectiveness towards this small family.
Corrine and Steele navigate this complicated relationship with compassion and love ❤️

Three More Shots is the third book in the Escaping the Mafia series, and while it's about a different couple and a different brilliant author, reading them in order is so much better! See, there's an underlying plot flowing throughout all the books, so each builds off the last, meaning just read them in order because it's worth it! Corinne & Ainsley are amazing mother/daughter combo that I couldn't get enough of, which is what Steele found himself feeling after the first time he saw them, and the journey is on from there. She's a rule follower, while he's really not, so that will be the point of contention throughout. It also kept me on the edge of my seat, because secrets just don't make friends, and I couldn't look away for anything in the same breath. This was an amazing story in this amazing series that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Nikki NEVER disappoints

I honestly loved this story. It grabs your attention from the get go and keeps you enthralled to the very end.

Corinne and Ainsley are the sweetest combination ever!!!! This mother/daughter combo grabs your heart strings and you immediately fall in love with them both.

Which is how you know just how Steele feels after watching them the very first time.

Steele is the alpha male with a heart of gold! His willingness to learn about Ainsley’s ways tells you just what kind of man he truly is.

If I had anything I’d like to see in the book, it would be that there was MORE!! LOL I’d love to read more about Corinne, Ainsley and Steele. Love, love, LOVED this book HARD!!!

Steele is a total alpha male mafia man but he is knocked for a loop when he meets Corinne and her daughter Ainsley. He is intrigued by the two and possessive over them. Corinne is a single mom working and trying to take care of her daughter Ainsley. Ainsley is on the spectrum. I loved the way Steele learned to interact with her. This was a story close to home for me. Another great read from this author.

This author is all about the big bad mafia guy as we have seen from her previous books. Her guys are brutal, fearless, loyal and love deep and hard. Don't touch what's theirs if you plan to ever see another day. When he meets her he is instant consumed by her and her daughter. In his relentless single minded pursuit of her he finds out something about himself that shocks those that are closest to him. What he finds is something that totally shifts his world. Peace. The more he sees the more he wants but his background is always going to be an issue. When they touch what's his he reminds them who he is, while he shows her that she's his all three of them are one family. A beautiful emotional read that shares some of the challenges these special blessings can be. As he loves her daughter with the depth that he loves the mother while showing them both the love and care they have been missing. This author brings the story together with class smooth finesse and a loving touch.

Three More Shots by Nikki Belaire.

Thoroughly enjoyed the style of this book. Mafia boss whose heart gets stolen by young single mother with a disabled child.

Putting the mafia theme aside for one moment. I did find this book particularly insightful to the autism spectrum disorder.

Main characters were Steele, Corinne and daughter Ainsley. MAN.... was Steele a possessive dude. Corinne was a struggling mum trying to juggle work and home life whilst working but after a chance meeting, Steele is smittened!

This is a fast paced short story mafia romance. Highly enjoyable and highly recommendable. I found it to be suspenseful and intriguing as-well as educational as aforementioned. Great story!

This is the third book in a six book series, but can be read as a standalone. As always, the author doesn't disappoint and I was hooked on the story right away. Steele is a very powerful man who always gets what he wants and doesn't take no for an answer. Corinne is one of his employees and a single parent of a special needs child. He wants her and her child and she thinks she doesn't deserve happiness. Together, they are combustible and gave me all the feels. I highly recommend this book and the series.

I’m a lover of Mafia stories whether short or long. This story which is part of a series, is incredible. I love a broody, take charge alpha man and Steele definitely fits the bill! When he meets Corinne and her young daughter, he feels such a pull to her. But can he convince her to give him a chance? She is very protective of her daughter, and is very hesitant to let anyone into their lives. This story takes you on Steele and Corinne’s journey and what a journey it is!! These two are made for each other and my heart melted as to the lengths Steele would go for her. This story also touched on a topic that is very common in this world and this author handled and described it perfectly. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read the others in this series!

Most Amazing read this year!

I absolutely love this story. Nikki Belaire hit this out of the park. Seriously, single parent of a child with Autism. The first one I have read where the child has a disability.
Steele makes you want to swoon. Seeing Corrine at a coffee shop, he wonders about her daughter. He decides she will be his. For a man who is used to getting what he wants and being in charge, it was amazing how he let Corrine show him how her daughter reacts certain ways. The way he steps back and learns.
I just love so much about this book. Definitely worth reading.

Steele sees Corrine and her daughter, Ainsley, at a coffee shop.
Corrine is a single mom with a child who is autistic.
Steele sees the way Corrine interacts with her daughter and he become curious and interested.
Steele finds out that Corrine works for his company.
Steele immediately wants know everything there is about Corrine.
Corrine is divorced and lives in a dingy apartment because of her lack of funds. Corrine’s ex-husband is rich but does not help because he is ashamed of their daughter.
This was a short read. You can read it in a few hours.
The hero was very alpha. I loved how patient and protective he was of both of them.
Cute story, but not my favorite by this author.

I am a huge fan of Author Nikki Belaire, her mafia stories are full of adventure, romance and pure alpha male. Steele is rough on the exterior but soft when it comes to what he wants and loves. He had my heart in how he took care of Corrine and her daughter. His wild side was sexy as hell and I couldn't stop reading from start to finish. Loved the characters and story line for this new Mafia Series she's apart of.

Corrine is a single mother raising a daughter with Autism, all on her own. Steele is the CEO of the company she works for. Two completely different worlds, finance wise. Corrine is a mother who will do anything to protect her daughter in anyway possible, making every sacrifice possible for her daughter, Ainsley. Steele, wants to protect both Corrine and Ainsley. This is a amazing story of a love that knows no bounds. A mother’s love for her child. A must read!

This story stirred up so many different emotions. Corinne’s selfless sacrifice and devotion for her daughter and the tight relationship the two of them had warmed my heart. Then you throw Steele into the mix and I was swooning. Who doesn’t love watching a man who instills fear in everyone who crosses his path fall to his knees for the love of a good woman and her daughter. This is 5 star must read that will have your full attention from page one.

This story takes you on Steele and Corinne’s journey and what a journey it is! The plot continues from the first two books but now we have Steele and Corinne and her young daughter. I loved this book and could not put it down. It had my emotions all over the place especially leaning of Corinne’s story. Steele, wants to protect both Corrine and Ainsley and the steps he takes will melt your heart. A must read!

I really enjoyed this! It was a great, quick read especially since I love alpha males and I loved the addition of a special needs child! The heroine was good too but did come off as being more bulldozed into things(except when it came to her daughter) instead of an active participant in the relationship. I would still definitely recommend it!

This was a captivating, feel good, mafia short story about a hot dominant alpha mob boss who disrupts the ordered lives of a young mother and her sweet, unique daughter. I fell in love with the journey of discovery the main characters embark upon.

This was a short story with a big heart...I received an advanced copy of this book from the author

Wow this book was so good. Short, sweet and to the point. We watch this guy fall hard and fast for a woman who has a daughter with problems. It just makes your heart sing with joy. I hope to get a chance to read the others in this series. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.

Short, and really very sweet, for a mafia book. Told entirely from the H pov, minus the prologue, we get insight into just how smitten and possessive he is. And I loved it. His immediate love for both the h and her autistic daughter were a huge plus for me. I didn't like how timid and meek Corrine was, I would have liked the book to be longer so we could see her come into her own.

Heartwarmingly delicious.

Damn, who would have thought that a mob boss could have so much compassion and love! Love how he takes Corinne and Ainsley as his own. Steele is so good to them, and yet he's just as capable of beating someone to death.

Love is an amazing thing.

Very good for a quick read. Some sort of connected/mafia hero and heroine single mother with an autistic daughter. He sees her and BAM, realizes she works for him and he goes after her. But he's so sweet to her and her daughter. I enjoyed it very much. Mainly from the hero's perspective.

Loved it!

This was a quick and spicy read! I loved the way Steele wooed Corinne. The author sure tugged at my heartstrings with the way she depicted Corinne’s living circumstances. The only thing I would change would be to make the book about 2x as long!
