Somehow, Mitzy hopes to juggle the investigation, the nuptials, her meddling Ghost-ma, and an interfering feline. Hopes and Slippery Slopes
By Trixie Silvertale
This is the first book I've read in the series. I really enjoyed the characters, witty dialogue, and the bit of supernatural in here. The mystery was good with interesting clues, twists, and more! Definitely following this series!
I got the audio version from the library and the narration was good!

Another great murder solving by our intrepid sleuth however in this book Mitzy does not concentrate so much on solving the murder mystery but on doing some good for those around her. Mitzy remembers her past after her mother died and all the horrible foster homes she had had to live through so she wanted to do something for the young man whose father was killed and who had no more family. She decided to offer him a temporary home but her great gesture of kindness ends up changing this young man's life forever. Furthermore we see Mitzy preparing for a family wedding which she puts her all into even though weddings are not really her scene and she does catch the bouquet. So hopefully we will be seeing her flourishing romance develop into something more, as it's high time now that she and Erick through all their ups and downs and hurt feelings seem to be going places. This mystery would not have been solved without the help of that beautiful Pyewacket, for me the best character in the series! I loved this novel, maybe I could say it would be my favourite so far as I really enjoyed seeing this different side to Mitzy. Onward to book 12.

Heeeeeeeere we go! Another Mitzy Moon episode! These books sure have a lot of oomph.

Such heartwarming moments. Such depth, such layers. This isn’t just a run-of-the-mill paracozy: this is so much more.

And Silas, well, he was really quite impressive once again!

The author has such a way with words, playing with them, resulting in great sentences, and also resulting in moving me, exciting me.

So well-written, such high quality, I cannot give anything other than 5 full glorious stars.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! This installment is, once again, my new favorite! I keep waiting to get bored with this series but each book pulls me further into the wonderful world of Mitzy and I never want to leave! I don't want to give away any spoilers, but Mitzy has a heart of gold and I can't wait until she finally gives in and fully trusts Sheriff Too Hot to Handle! Wonderful book! Can't wait to read the next one!

Does it get old to say that this latest book in the Mitzy Moon series is Trixie’s best? I hope not because Trixie just keeps this series getting better and better!

I wonder how crime was solved in Pin Cherry Harbor before Mitzy Moon came on the scene! She just seems to be there when the bodies are found and with her psychic abilities and her psychic furball Pyewacket on the scene the bad guys just don’t stand a chance!

This time around she gets help from a friend she helped once before only this time it’s his father who is the murder victim! He also shares a trait that Mitzy has but that causes problems because her boyfriend is there when it happens! One of her closely guarded secrets is now out of the bag and she is going to have to make that confession to the sheriff!

While all this is going on she has to help get things in order for her dad’s marriage so her plate is full so to speak!

For those of you who haven’t gotten the word yet, this is absolutely the funnest cozy murder mysteries series around! Mitzy, Ghost Grams, Pyewacket, and Twiggy will give you plenty of smiles and some lol moments as well. Stellen is now going to figure in on her future cases as long as he is in Pin Cherry Harbor I dare say so you just need to get comfy cozy and settle in to read the best cozy mystery series around!

I give a hearty five stars to this book and this series because I can’t give any more but if I could it’d be an easy twenty on the five star ranking! I seriously would urge you to get this series from its start so you won’t miss any of the hijinks and sleuthing skills employed to unmasked the baddies! Trust me you will not regret starting this series except for the fact that you will have ten more books to go through to catch up to the rest of us but trust me the pages will just fly by because Trixie’s writing prowess keeps you turning the pages faster and faster to find out what happens next!

You will thank me later for turning you on to Trixie’s writing and all I can say is you’re welcome!!

Oh myyyyyyy!!!

Silvertale has done the impossible with #11! Mitzy Moon's Hopes & Slippery Slopes is a stunner! I'm already anxiously awaiting finding out how she tops this one in #12!

But let's talk about the storyline. It will come as NO surprise that Mitzy is embroiled with yet another dead body. But this one leaves her with a not-so-little something extra. While that came out of left field, it's also a welcome addition to the tale. I really like this whole thread and the direction it goes in. It leaves lots of avenues to explore in future installments.

Then Sheriff Too-Hot-To-Handle finds out - rather shockingly - about MM's secrets and almost-Canada becomes just that much chillier.

And there's a wedding in almost-Canada when Jacob marries his lady, and the whole town turns out to celebrate.

Hopes and Slippery Slopes is aptly titled, and another one of those books I read in one sitting. The characters in this series have, by now, become friends; and the addition of characters that just may stick around is SO intriguing.

Don't miss Silvertale's new story and if you haven't visited almost-Canada yet, don't you think it's about time?

Each time I think I just read the best tale, the next in series comes out and raises the bar! I enjoy that Mitzi and Erick don’t have a smooth ride relationship wise. It makes these characters even more believable in spite of the magic and mystique. The visuals created with the wedding scene truly transported me there and I loved it! And of course, Stellans tale pulled heavily at the heart strings. Can’t wait for the next book! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

This series gets better with every book. The first book scared me because I'm not normally a fan of first person present, but Trixie Silvertale does such an amazing job of weaving a story, by the end of the first chapter I didn't even notice. I wait eagerly for each next book, wondering if this will be the one that isn't quite as good. Instead, they just get better! The characters grow and get better, and I find myself rooting for them.

Another brilliant installment for Trixie Silvertale and the Mitzy Moon Cozy Mysteries.

Our heroine goes to a Snocross race with her Dad and stumbles on a body.

After taking in an orphan and attending a wedding Mitzy has her hands full.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The series is a firm favourite of mine. Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

I loved this book so much! Mitzy is, as always, on the case. In Hopes and Slippery Slopes, she does so much more than solve a murder. Mitzy is instrumental in doing good and increasing the happiness of her chosen family. Mitzy's good deeds center around Stellen - a young man who plays a central role in the story.
I adored how much focus Mitzy has on family and love in this story. Her father and Amaryllis are getting married, Erick is pushing to know more about Mitzy's real life, and Ghostma is actively trying to direct Mitzy's life.
I am not sure how Trixie Silvertale does it, but each book in the Mitzy Moon series is truly better than the last.

This book was another hit in an amazing series. Mitzy takes in the victim’s son because he becomes an orphan when his dad is murdered. She doesn’t want him to go through what she did. In a great twist he can see ghosts and puts her in front of her boyfriend which causes an extra layer of drama-all this happening while they are preparing for The wedding of Mitzy’s dad. This book was a fabulous read. Love all the characters in Pin Cherry. If you haven’t began reading this series, you should-it’s is a very entertaining series.

A fun winter snocross race, a murder, illegal animals, a wedding & new family members. Mitzi has her hands right in the middle of a lot of messes before she can ring in the new year. I love this series. This book has a lot going on but is written so well it’s not overwhelming. Lots of twists & turns with a great ending. I can’t wait for the next book.

Another great book in a great series. This time Mitzy is introduced to snocon. When her date takes her to the snowmobile races a dead body is discovered after a young man is hurt after running off the track! The dead man turns out to be his coach. This book gets into taxidermy, trafficking exotic animals and leaves a kid orphaned. Mitzy immediately connects with Stellan as she herself was an orphan. She takes him in while investigating the murder. He’s a smart kid who wants to be a vet and shockingly he can’t see ghosts which ghostma is delighted with! To top it off Mitzy dad and Amaryllis get married. I loved this book. I love the characters and Pin Cherry Harbor. I look forward to reading the next book in the series! This is a must read!

Mitzy spent the day with her dad at a Snowmobile Racing contest. She met some fans and witnessed a nasty accident. Unfortunately the accident revealed a murder. The murder left a boy totally orphaned and in a bad way. Mitzy to the rescue. She decides to investigate the murder. Big surprise. Mitzy's dad and his fiancée are due to be married and the bookshop is in an uproar, as this is where the wedding is to be held. Mitzy's boyfriend, the sheriff, finds out some of her secrets and isn't impressed with being kept in the dark. It is a very confused time.

Mitzy and Grams rock the story. Mitzy is living the life and enjoying every second of it. Love that she does not forget how hard her life was after her mother’s death and is willing to help others when they need a helping hand. This series is so much fun and the characters are totally like friends I have known forever. The stories and Mitzy are evolving and each new story is better than the last. Highly recommend to all cozy lovers.

As I was reading the ARC of this book, I read some of my fellow reviewers post that this was "the best yet in the series". I couldn't believe it since I thought the previous one was the best. Then, I got to the end of this one and have a smile on my face so I guess I have to agree. It IS the best yet. This series just keeps getting better.

Each book just grabs me!

As the series has gone on I've warmed to every single character more and more. In Hopes and Slippery Slopes we have a roller-coaster of emotions going on and plenty of tears shed. This time around we have a dead body left in a pile of snow which was then uncovered during a racing accident.
Now we are left with an orphan. What will happen to Stellen, now? His father has been murdered, he lost his mother to cancer at a young age and he is temporarily taken under Miss Moon's wing.

Mitzy and Erick have a falling-out after he discovers she hasn't been entirely truthful with him. Ghost-ma is in the midst of it all.
Jacob and Amaryllis are about to get wed amid all the chaos. Twiggy is her usual, witty, snarky self. Silas works his magic in the background and Pye takes one for the team.

It all ends on a bit of a cliff-hanger. Something very valuable has been stolen. Can't wait for book 12 of this enthralling series.

I absolutely loved this book. It is my favorite in the series so far and it was a wonderful read at this time of year as well. Mitzy is finally going to have some free time and she and her Dad, who is being honored and giving out prizes, attend the snowmobile races. But instead of the relaxing day Mitzy is looking for she finds a dead body again. As a result of the murder she ends up with a house guest, a misunderstanding with Erick and she is trying to get the bookstore ready for a New Year Eve's wedding. There is a lot to enjoy in this story and I hope you all like it even half as much as I did! I did love this book!!

This is my new favorite in this series. I really like how all the relationships are progressing. Mitzy and her dad go to the snowmobile races when the top driver is in an accident. When they are pulling him out, there is a body in the snow. Right away, Mitzy knows it is Stellen's dad. She knows how it feels to lose a parent and wants to help him. She decides to take care of him until a permanent home can be found for him. Erick is also helping with Stellen and when Stellen sees Ghost-ma, he blurts out that there is a ghost. When Erick realizes that Mitzy didn't tell him that she could see ghosts, he is hurt and upset. Can Mitzy mend their relationship? They are in the middle of an investigation and now isn't the time for a break up. Mitzy's dad and his fiancee are getting ready for their wedding and there is so much going on. Can Mitzy juggle all of her responsibilities?

Erick and Mitzi have been dating for some time now, but it takes a teenaged orphan who can also see Ghost-ma to spill the beans about Mitzi's special 'connection' she has with her grandmother. Hurt, Erick tries to solve the murder of Stellen's dad without the help of Mitzi's hunches or clues from Pyewacket the caracal. Determined to win back his trust, Mitzi takes all the help she can get - she even has a fan club to give her clues. Of course, Mitzi solves the murder and at the end the murderer is arrested all in time for Mitzi to stand as maid-of-honor for her soon to be stepmom in a NYE wedding.

Hopes and Slippery Slopes is the eleventh book in the Mitzy Moon Mysteries series and is my favourite in the series... so far!

I love these characters. They are quirky, fun, and lovable. Ghost-ma and Pyewacket are always there to help Trixie. The paranormal cozy mystery has humour, family, friendship, mystery, and suspense. This entire series is on my TBR-again list.

My favorite all time cozy series! This series has phenomenal characters, including a not quite tame caracal. There is sass, humor and a Ghostma you will love.

Come to Pin Cherry Harbor in almost Canada just in time for snow mobile races and the winter wedding of Mitzy's father.

What could possibly go wrong? Things are great with Mitzy's sheriff boyfriend, though she still hasn't told him she can see ghosts. The long anticipated wedding plans are perfect.

But Mitzy has a habit of finding bodies in the most unexpected ways. Will she find a crime to solve?

Loved the 'surprises'! Another delightful read! Interesting way to do a wedding, though a bit on the chilly side for the attendees. Love the twists / turns / unexpected happenings. I will gladly read any books in this series ... no matter how many there are or will be ... again & again.

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

It seems that Mitzy Moon can’t go anywhere without trouble showing up. This time she’s at her first snowmobile race where one of the coaches is found dead. He’s been murdered and there are several viable suspects.

Lately, she and her sheriff boyfriend, Erick, work together on cases because he knows she’ll investigate with or without his consent. Unfortunately, they don’t get too far into this case when he finds out that she’s been hiding her gifts from him. He’s understandably upset with her, and she’s afraid she’s lost him for good.

The characters in the Mitzy Moon Mysteries are unique, flawed, and loveable. Mitzy is smart, hilarious, and determined. She and her dad are getting closer, and it’s nice seeing her family expand. I like Stellan, the teenager that Mitzy has taken under her wing. He’s a good kid who’s had a rough time the past few years, and he’s so smart!

Hopes & Slippery Slopes is another fun paranormal mystery. When I think back to the first book and compare the Mitzy then to the Mitzy now, she has really grown. She’s still stubborn and hilarious, but she’s learning to trust others and continues to increase her circle of family and friends. Although this book stands on its own, I recommend reading all of the books in order to get the most out of the series.

I really like how all the relationships are progressing. I have warmed to every single character with an emotional story like this it gives the characters more depth. The story line is building on the past books, but it is introducing new characters, you feel like you know the characters and that you are from the same town. I was not able put the book down until finished it in one reading and I am sure it will be the same for you. I am ready for the next book.
