I used this text book during my postgraduate program. While I cannot say that is the most exciting read, it was written well and I liked the formatting a lot.

Kern Alexander and M. David Alexander compile U.S. education law court cases in a summative narrative bibliography of current issues facing k-12 administrators and educators. The book includes a subject index and an alphabetical list of cited court cases. Most readers interested in a comprehensive overview of legal issues facing public school educators should be satisfied with this great work.
