Jennifer I shot a dragon. He came at me fast, so I fired my gun right at his scaly, blue chest. And then he abducted me. Hey, at least he didn’t rip me apart on the spot. But I’m not sure if this is any better. He flew far with me in his talons, before setting down in this cold forest far from the jungle. It’s just me, him and the pulsating bulge in his pants. And judging from his menacing fury, I have to assume that soon it will be just him.
Caronerax The pain is unbearable. Pain! In a dragon! It’s unheard of. My chest is bleeding precious ichor, too. This round little female will live to regret that she injured me and made me feel pain, for the first time ever. By the time I have taken my pleasure from her luscious body, she is going to have no doubt how I feel about it. The sheer sacrilege of hurting a dragon must be punished.
Caveman Alien’s Riddle is the thirteenth book in the Caveman Aliens series of science fiction romance novels. The books are complete stories, but should be read in order for maximum enjoyment.
Expect steamy scenes, mysterious aliens with features like adult toys, deadly planets and the love story between a girl from Earth and a sensationally hot and dangerous dragon shifter.
Big things are happening on X'ren-including earthquakes. The newly arrived dragons sense impending doom and all invade the girls' camp the night of the quake. Gone is there brick homes and hard built forges as they are forced to abandon their village and take cover in Bune. Of course things are not ever easy and this time around during the melee, the heroine is snatched and grabbed by none other than a Dragon Prince, days before some of the girls plan to use the spaceship inside Bune and leave the building. Honestly I loved this story. Somehow while cocky and hilarious Caronerax may just be my favorite dragon yet. I think as a prince Caronerax is able to focus more and remain levelheaded. He doesn't have such a strong urgent need for his horde and perhaps that's because he brought his horde to the planet with him or because somehow being Royal allows him to really be more powerful rather than just cocky and vain. Though let me be clear, he is both cocky and vain as of course there is no other dragon m ore handsome, useful etc. than him. I really loved the few POV's we got from him because the inner dialogue was hilarious. The end literally killed me. While this book and the next will standalone within the series, we get stuck with a cliffhanger, right in the epilogue to boot. Everything is hunky dory and Jennifer and Caronerax get a brief HEA but now it looks like war is afoot and I was born ready. Hope this series never ends!
Princ draků, což se vlastně dozvídáme až později je zraněn od pozemské dívky. On neporazitelný drak poprvé v životě krvácí.

I wish I could keep clicking and adding more stars. Five, although the highest allowed on Amazon is simply not enough. This installment features Jennifer. Let's star at the point in the story where there's a quake and it is shaking the hell out of the village. Jennifer, is in her place readying for bed. When things start falling apart she has to get out. She has her gun (that was made in the village) she goes out the door, only to see a dragon, with a very limp Heidi in his arms. Jennifer shoots him, with the gun they made, it recoiles and knocks her unconscious. When she awakes she is with the blue dragon with yellow stripes (Caronerax). Needless to say she is not in a good position. She's worried about Heidi, was she dead or unconscious? Her mind is going 90 mph. What is this dragon going to do with me? But she doesn't have to wait long until Caronerax tells her what he is going to do to her. He's going to......... Oops, looks like you're going to have to read this book to see what's going to happen to Jennifer. Better yet, start at book one of this series or you won't understand what is taking place. I mean why take a taste of your favorite dessert when you can have a full serving? I have already decided to have a really good cry when this series ends. This is by above nd beyond one of the best series ever written. If these books were ever made into a movie, it would be one that viewers would watch over and over again. Calista Skye has written such an incredible series that I cannot recommend this highly enough. If you have the time, please check out this Caveman series. It is phenomenal. This newest installment, matches every book prior in the respect that each and every installment is simply incredible. What an absolutely magnificent reading experience.
I loved the Cavemen in all their alpha male glory but these dragons? Good grief talk about alpha PITA! They need a trolley to carry around all that ego!
Jennifer has always felt out of step with the other girls. She contributes but she doesn't have any particular stand-out quality that makes her useful. But when a quake hit the village, just as their readying t leave for Bune, Jennifer sees a large blue male with an unconscious Heidi in his arms. Fearing he killed her friend, she shoots him with her less than trusty side-arm.
But as much as it hurt her new foe, it does more damage to Jennifer and when she wakens from her blackout after the recoil, she's in the arms of the very man she tried to shoot.
Caronerax is a blue dragon with yellow stripes. He has the attitude and ego of a megalomaniac and the empathy of a rock! He has a long hard lesson in front of him, never pee off a human woman, we will fight back in our own passive-aggressive way! The romance side of the story I really needed to disengage my brain from cos I just kept screaming to Jennifer that he wasn't worth it! Caronerax is top of the a-hole leader board and he NOT my favourite of the heroes in the series so far.
Another great episode in the expanding world of Xren. Who knows what will happen next?
Caveman Alien’s Riddle: Book 13 By Calista Skye Kindle unlimited purchase Jennifer is a helpful and friendly kind of girl, although not the most innovative. She knows it well, and she cannot wait to leave Xren behind and go back to Earth. Twelve of the girls are married to cavemen or dragons, the six of us that are still single can’t wait to be home on Earth. Caronerax is a dragon. He has been injured but doesn't want Jennifer to know how week he is. When the dragons started to show up and be able to shift into human shape. I took a while to come over to the idea that they could be trusted. But now I love the idea. Wonder what's going to happen next! *Caveman Aliens* Caveman Alien's Ransom Caveman Alien's Mate Caveman Alien's Rage Caveman Alien's Pride Caveman Alien's Trap Caveman Alien's Secret Caveman Alien’s Claim Caveman Alien’s Trick Caveman Alien’s Sword Caveman Alien’s Enemy Caveman Alien's Killer Caveman Alien's Treasure Cayman Alien’s Riddle Caveman Alien’s Fate
More magnificent dragons! Not that they are friendly. But this one grows on Jennifer. After a shocking event and using a blunderbuss with repercussions, Jennifer is carried away by a dragon (one of the repercussions). I love watching the two of them together. Caronerax (said dragon) acts in a way that belies his words. He has a most humorous way of getting the results he won’t admit that he craves. Jennifer doesn’t give herself the credit she deserves. She’s always nice to others, but hasn’t contributed much to her tribe’s welfare (she thinks). That wonderful personality carries her farther than she could comprehend. The journey home is treacherous, and still fraught with danger when they arrive at their destination. Plenty of humor, fine (if unusual) romance, and exhilarating adventure. I am thrilled with the outcome for these two! They and the others of her tribe have other matters to overcome in the future, but the ending makes me very happy!
Personally, this wasn't the right kind of sci-fi romance for me. Felt empty and the characters didn't appeal, they lacked the 3-Dimensional personalities that make the readers connect with them. I got lost right from the start, and is it because I'm not reading this from the first book, so I'm not feeling the entire story? That might be the case.
The MCs chemistry was....ehh...I felt nothing to be frank. No sudden attraction, no mystery, no sense of anything. Non-existent.
Perhaps it's a slow burn but I couldn't be enticed to stay and find out. The dragon man wasn't even cool, in the way dragons should be...a little arrogant and pompous, laced with humor, yet it failed to reel me in. He just annoyed me, while the heroine didn't stick out like a sore thumb in a good way.
I've been pretty sick recently and its slowed down my reading, but nothing stops me from reading the Caveman Alien series! What a perfect time to to read this book! This series is silly, funny, sexy, and yet its also sweet, sad, informative, (you read that right!) and in its own way its daring. Calista Skye has mixed cavemen, evil or maybe not so evil? alien abductors, with a strange new world filled with amazing new creatures and the addition of dragon shifters to create an amazing science fiction series. Every other month I search eagerly for the next book in the series and with this book I see exciting changes coming. It has a small cliffhanger which I truly hate but trust me this one is worth it.
I freakin ADORED this one! I have a weakness for scary, irritable dragon heroes and caronerax was spectacular. The fact he was felled by a little human woman, confused and vulnerable to her, just made it all the sweeter.
I’ve loved this series so far, but jen and caronerax’s story has to be one of my favorites. jen was honest, humble and sweet, truly finding herself as she fell in love and tamed a wild, cruel dragon. I also adored that she gives caronerax the irreplaceable gift of her her virginity, hadn’t spread her legs for losers to slime between, but belongs only to him.
There was no abuse or cheating of any kind. Heroes past isn’t really mentioned in detail, and there’s a HEA.
Only fitting that one of the dragon girls has a storyline with a dragon. All Jennifer wants to do is go back to Earth. She feels unworthy in the group. One night she is abducted by a dragon that she has injured. Caroneraxis the dragon that has taken her. An injured dragon is unheard of.
I absolutely love this series. Since this is book 13, Calista gives us a summary of what has been going on. It helps because there is a wait (worth it) between books. Previous characters are constantly returning. Emotions are described with clarity. Always full of surprises. Characters learn something new about themselves. Love it love it love it.
Happy with couple and story. Did not believe most of the dragons would leave planet. Or that a ruler type would. Lived the island, but she would have heard tale of caves and should have mentioned it to creature. As to his shrapnel injuries. She would have never suggested he go to earth but would have used her skinny knife to find pieces she could reach to they got to settlement. Where they could do surgery on rest. And why dont they suggest given ship to dragons and slayers. Fo them to drop dragons off to their world, take ship to their native land to find females. So many little things do not add up. Hope rest in series do
Caronerax is drawn to the village by unknown forces. When he attacks one of the human women, Jennifer shoots him. As punishment, Caronerax kidnaps her. Being royalty, he's even more arrogant than a normal dragon. Much to his chagrin, he's stuck in his weaker human form. They must work together to survive. A sexy, action packed, and heartfelt journey ensues. Will Caronerax discover in time that the most precious part of his hoard is not gold but the love of his mate? Things are definitely heating up on the planet Xren.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading each book, up to this point. Jennifer, meeting her Prince Dragon, perils they went thru, finding way back to village/Bune. Brings so many feelings as I'm reading this book. Not wanting series to end, want partly, gals and husbands to stay on planet, since , they have accomplished so much. Having shot the Prince, when met, and now is fully recovered, after discovering, gold is actually harmful to them. Knowing now, how LOVE, can make a dragon feel more human in a sense.
There was a point about 10% in where I really thought I wouldn't finish this. It did make me laugh, though ( in places because it was so cringey). I enjoyed the whole mythology the author created around the dragons, but other than that, there's not much good here. Weak character development, insta-love, poor world building and lazy descriptions (she could have come up with some original animals instead of having endless 'not-' versions of Earth things.)
Jennifer is kidnapped by the dragon prince, Caronerex. Usually, I love this series but no so much with this one. Jennifer is a rather boring character. Caronerex may be a prince but it doesn't make a real difference in this story. Hopefully the next book will be more interesting. Sorry only a 3☆ rating & only because I like the series.
Caronerax impulsively takes Jennifer after she shoots him with her homemade gun. As their adventure takes off, Jennifer starts to get to know Caronerax and tries to get him to help her and the others in her tribe. His mission is what keeps him going, but his attraction to Jennifer grows. War is coming.
This was slightly creepy and hot at the same time. I felt bad for the dragon after the shot but then when they found out about the secret I didn’t feel bad anymore. I’m glad Jennifer didn’t feel useless however she was so helpful that I don’t really understand why. Oh well her HEA was really awesome.
It was just as great as all the previous ones and holds your attention from beginning to end? It has plenty of action, adventure, a prince dragon, drama, humor, love, and hot sexy romance that's not over the top with awesome characters? Definitely a must buy and keep them coming they are awesome?
I really enjoyed this book in the series and can’t wait for the continuation to find out what happens next. I was wondering what his brother was up to and look forward to reading what’s next. I’m not a fan of cliffhangers but felt this wrapped up the current couple quite well.
This is the 13 book in the series that I have read. Love following all the girls that were abducted and deposited on Xren. All the stories are slightly different and now the dragons are making an appearance. Can’t wait for the next one to come out. Thank you Calista
This whole series has been a tale of each woman that the Plood brought to the planet. But now all the cavemen want a woman of their own, even if there's not enough to go around. Now we have 3 Dragons who are with the women, unfortunately the worst Dragon is trying to take it all.
This one started off a little slow for me, b it hang with it! Jennifer is snatched by a different looking dragon. He's very brutish, but she wins him over. Never fear! You should read these in order, there is a subplot that is a separate story.
Prince C and Jennifer find each other when the tribe is attacked and then an earthquake . Even more evil arrives as the prince and Jennifer travel on a quest to heal the prince . will they find love ?
This is another great book in this series. I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. I can’t wait for the next book in this series to find out what happens to the girls. I would definitely recommend reading this book.
What a book! Things revealed, the Plood return, and we meet a really cute marsh monster. We also learn a key weakness of the dragons. The ending is a soft cliffhanger but I don't mind. The next and, I think last, book of this series will be epic!
I don’t remember when I first started reading this series, but it was a while ago. I LOVE it! After reading the author’s note after I’ll be impatiently waiting for January!
