Jamie has always loved a good story, whether real or imagined. He grew up in the south of England before moving to the north, where he worked as a history teacher. He still lives there with his wonderful family, but now spends his time writing, mainly about people hitting each other with swords.

I enjoyed these books too much. The dry humor and awesome characters are great. How one character can go from baddie to goodie on 0.2 seconds was interesting and I wasn’t disappointed. Great series!

I wouldn't have expected a portal fantasy to wrap up the series, but it is a clever concept to wrap things up, twist the previous tales and do and undo previous activities, and throw in some unexpected curve balls.

I enjoyed it almost as much as book three, with the way it handled old characters, new ones and particularly their involvement in a number of timelines. A couple of things seemed a bit easy for OGD with the pacing, but the story was a good laugh and nice to see The Recorder dragged back down to earth.

If you need a palette cleanser, or quick and funny entertainment it is hard to go past this series. It adds a spin to a number of 'tropes' and the quirkiness works well.

Og-Grim-Dog our three headed ogre, owner of the tavern the flayed testicles, has reached the finale in his story telling, but as his audience has grown, he can no longer recount his tale in his tavern, he needs a bigger venue. So he and the recorder get on the stage in the arena amidst hushed voices of those anticipating the end of the adventure. And what an adventure this had turned out to be as Og-Grim-Dog realises he is the only one of his group left alive to save Gal'azu from the tyrannical slavery of the succubus and incubus, Samael and Lilith who had taken the country over. In this tale he tries to undo the past, in order to gather his group of friends once again, and undo some massive mistakes they had made, little realising the effect these would have on the country. He goes through time portals in order to do this, and to gain some allies on the way. In this tale he is joined by Oisin the King of giants, and Gurin the dwarf, and he gains the help of a human child called Maddy who also provides them with some advanced weaponry to rid the world of Draugr and restore peace in the city of Pengshui and the rest of Gal'azu. I love this non-stop action filled adventure story, with its awesome character of Og-Grim-Dog and his group of friends who give us this grand finale in their fight of good against evil, even though at times they three had been on the side of evil themselves. Everyone has a chance of turning over a new leaf and they three sure did!

The fourth and final volume in this series, each book being fairly short at around 150 pages. Excellent finish to the series.

I finished the preceding volume maybe a bit disappointed that it had a strong zombie content, my least favourite creature of fantasy or horror. But this volume needed that dark interlude, it seems, to give the clever finish to the story contained here. The comedy content is restored too, plenty of gags, often aimed at the Dungeons and Dragons style of adventure. In other hands the lengths that the lead characters go to, so as to restore some order to this damaged world, would seem ridiculous and laboured, but somehow it works here very well. Again, I think because of the tongue in cheek humour underlying the story. Don’t take it too seriously, there’s some satire about the fantasy genre here.

In summary I’ve enjoyed the series tremendously. The best comedic fantasy I think I’ve read since Terry Pratchett and Tom Holt, though a bit more bloody, and certainly expletive heavy, than those two. The author is new to me, so I’ll have to check out more of his.

Og-Grim-Dog is ready to tell a stadium full of his fans the final tale of his efforts to save Gal'azu and his world, with the recorder hovering above the stage he begins... Unfortunately, a previous ally(?) will try to cast doubts on the truthfulness of Og-Grim-Dog's recounting of his epic adventures. Og-Grim-Dog was not ready to accept the loss of his friends, or of the country he tried to save from the undead, so he decides on a maybe somewhat bizarre plan of action and puts it into motion.
Absolutely wonderful, and beautifully well written characters, I love them! Diverse, and intriguing this cast of characters learn to work together despite their many differences, and in the end will overcome the enemies threatening their world. Riveting, laugh out loud funny, mage, time travel, and epic battles, what's not to love about this fantastic book. I think this is a must read adventure.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Og-Grim-Dog jumps through portals, engages in epic battles, and defeats Sameul and Lilith, putting everything right by not only saving the world, but his friends in the end. It was a good ending to a wonderful series. But I do see where there could be more.

A great ending to a great series. Plenty of humor, plenty of action. Og-Grim-Dog set out to make things right. There is an abundance of adventure along the way. Fantastic world building. Great characters. I will miss this three headed ogre.

You know when a series comes along and just knocks tour socks off, well this Is just that, one of the most funny, witty and just a crazy a good fun read, as the story continues, Og-Grim-Dog get ready to tell their last story, at another venue, a larger audience, a special guest has arrived, Simba the dark Elf, just to make sure their not exaggerating on their part, with a new adventure they must recruit new associates to help with the final battle against the Succubus and Incubus, through the portals they travel to strange worlds and our own little planet Earth, which was one of the funniest scenes in the book, A fun mix of Avengers End Game tidbits put in with cracking humorous portal fantasy is just genius, Me Three has its all, humour, the plot and worldbuilding is fantastic, lots and lots of insane characters that you will fall in love with, I highly recommend the audio, Chuck Wagnor gives an amazing preformence through out the whole series, what ye waiting for go check it out.....😁

Three heads are better than one?

A good job of world building. I took away one star for having time travel. Perhaps an addendum to give d@d like statistics for Og grim dog? There will probably be more stories.

I've got the omnibus with the four books in the series. And let's be clear, it's a series, one book it's not enough. You'll want all of them, and more if possible (when "the nefarious exploits of Wro'Kuburni'-Dy-Hrath'Simbowa: dark elf, henchman and arch-villain"? and the prequel?)

Anyway, I'm not going to say it's hilarious (maybe because I'm a bit old and rusty in the laughing business, plus Spanish so probably miss several jokes) but it's very funny and I laughed.
If you like classic fantasy adventures like dungeons & dragons, you'll love it. And you'll find a lot of references to so many stories, series and films.

Very original, well explained and without neverending battles. It has sweet and sour moments, all of them worthy. A bit short of magic at the beginning, but it has enough at the end.

This is the epic conclusion, though I'd rather wait for more.
Wrongs get right, the lost are found and it's all well if it ends well. But always in a funny way.

Overall the entire series has its shortcomings. That's why the story didn't come full circle with this last book either. The world wasn't fully developed and unfortunately I didn't manage to fully get to know the characters either. The basic idea itself was great, even if it wasn't unique. It is certain that this series didn't leave a deep impression on me, so it was a one-time read for me.

“Maybe the best stories are the ones that never get told.”

“Og-Grim-Dog: Ogre’s End Game” brilliantly combines humor and action, delivering a perfect conclusion to this captivating series. The author’s clever storytelling ties up loose ends while keeping readers engaged in the world-hopping adventure. I’ll certainly miss our favorite three-headed ogre! A must-read for fans of the series.

This managed to bring the humor from the first two novellas, if not the satire, and the dramatic action of the third together into a really engaging and satisfying conclusion to the series. Overall, it was a really enjoyable read.
