Red and Rit's life continues. The previous volume showed how obvious their feelings for each other were, and this volume solidifies those feelings and gives them physical form.

The interactions between Red and Rit are very cute and heartfelt. I love the moments shared between them.

This volume did have some darker aspects to the story, which were eventually resolved, and there was a small teaser at the end letting us know what the next volume's plot is likely to be about.

I hope to see more of Red and Rit's cute, fluffy romance in the next volume.

I love this series. Where some series will spend 10+ volumes filled with nothing but two or more characters dancing around their feelings for each other, this one does not. Rit and Red's relationship is expressed quite clearly and the dynamics between them are some of the most natural I've read in an LN. Other romance light novelists could take an example out of Zappon's book.

Earlier this year I watched the anime based on these books and decided to check out the novels. This series tells the story of a powerful adventurer in a fantasy world who is expelled from this adventuring party and retires to a small town in the countryside. He is joined by another adventurer and the two of them together set about living a new, quieter life.
The series is quite charming in its way.
This volume covers most of episodes seven through nine of the anime series.

A wonderful book

Seriously, this series is steadily earning a spot my favourites. The narrative is excelent, the worldbuilding is well thought, and the story itself is both relaxing and interesting :)

I'm thankful for the first and second book, and really eager to know what happens in the next one n.n

Red and Rit continue their nice and quiet romantic life in Zoltan, but the havoc caused by a new drug is causing a disruption. Meanwhile, Red's sister, the Hero Ruti is getting even more disillusioned with her situation (and blessing) and looking for a solution. The result is a solid story with a volume long plot that fits very well into the world and the promise of more to come. I also find the romance a nice change of pace from most similar fantasy LNs. On the other hand, you do need to accept the somewhat contrived way Red left his previous group and accept the way how Blessings work (both limit choice and even personality of people). I feel the Blessing fits well within the core theme of the story, but I can see how its premise lessen a reader's enjoyment.

All in all, I really enjoy the book. How the romance is going to develop (and end) is going to make or break the series for me. For now, it is certainly one of the best I have read.
