Ghosts of the Southwest: The Phantom Gunslinger and Other Real-Life Hauntings

Rate this book
The first in the new Haunted America series

A cold whispery touch on your cheek...objects flying cross a room...a radio turning on and off by itself. Few things are as mysterious -- or as fascinating -- as ghosts. Just ask the people who live and work with them. Ted Wood did. He traveled from Texas to Arizona to hear their eerie first-hand accounts, about a ghostly cast of characters spanning the Old West and today. These unearthly residents still wander through old dance halls, forts, and frontier hotels and, with each turn of the page, will playfully haunt readers' imaginations.

This book has true ghost stories from the Southwest. Besides the Bird Cage theatre in Tombstone, I don't think I've read any of the other stories. Which was nice, I always like to read ghost stories I've never heard or read before. I also think it's neat that Jerome, Arizona has a burger place called The Haunted Hamburger.

Jerome is a mining town that's very haunted. There are stories of ghost children, a heart broken woman and many more in this book.

A good little collection of ghosts from southwest! Better than the second book - Ghosts of the West Coast.
