“Let me discover you. Slowly. Over time.”

I am obsessed with this ‘Law of Physics’ series! Time is the third and final installment and it was everything I wanted. I’ve read all of Penny Reid’s books, and after some serious deliberation, I have to say that Abram is my #1 favorite of all her heroes. I’m sure that has something to do with why I love these books so much!

Abram and Mona finally have the chance to be together, after a long and tumultuous start to their relationship. But do they really? Mona is busy doing her research in Geneva for a few months and Abram is touring the world with his band. It’s not easy being long distance, but after everything they’ve been through, they’re determined to make it work.

Mona and Abram are so different in a lot of ways, but they’re the perfect pairing. I love how much Abram loves Mona. He respects her, cherishes her, and will never let her go. You really feel that in these pages. And Mona is such a gem. She’s so intelligent and has never had a real relationship before, but with Abram things come easier than she expects. Probably because she can be herself with him completely.
“I love you with every part of myself, you’ve invaded every corner, every secret place, and I only want—I’ve only ever wanted—your happiness. If you want me to stay, then with you is always where I want to be.”

These books are unputdownable. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next and I’m so happy the wait between each one wasn’t long. Now that they’re all out, don’t want to pick them up! They’re such swoony, sexy, original, and fun reads!

Time was a perfect way to tie everything together and I couldn’t have been happier with the way this series ended! Mona + Abram = EVERYTHING!!!

If time is the result of gravity shaping or warping reality—which it is, which is why clocks tick faster on a mountain than at sea level—then what impact do heavy, weighty feelings have on time? I hypothesize that sadness slows time, and happiness does the opposite.

In this last installment of the ”Laws of Physics” series, Abram and Mona are struggling to find the balance between their personal and professional lives. Now that the truth is out and they’ve confessed their love for each other, they are struggling with the time they are forced to spend apart due to their hectic schedules that have them often on opposite ends of the world.

Can these two find the balance between their high profile careers and their budding romance? Will Mona find the courage to face the demons from her past?

Abram and Mona burn up the pages of this incredibly steamy conclusion to Penny Reid’s newest and fabulous series!

Here are my overall ratings:

Well, this one fell a bit off from the first two but I really loved the series as a whole.

Spoilers ahead so if you haven’t read the first two books, kindly don’t continue reading please and thank you.

Time is about Abram and Mona trying to navigate the boundaries of their new relationship. Both are separated by careers in different places and they are learning how to navigate long distance. For me, with this book the series lost it’s compelling edge. The first two books I devoured, this one I started ti skim at the end (especially during the epilogue, I didn’t remember who most of the cameo characters were).

Overall a great series, the ending just flopped a bit for me. But I still adore the first two books.

READ MY REVIEW ON THE BLOG

TITLE: TIME
AUTHOR: Penny Reid
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
TROPES: Rockstar
RATING: ALL OF THE STARS ✭✭✭✭✭
CLIFFHANGER: No

When I read a Penny Reid book magic happens. Those are not cookie cutter stories but spellbinding and unputdownable treasures, her characters so entirely endearing that I wish they were real so that I could be their best friend. Mona and Abram are thieves - they up and ran away with my heart. And let's not forget Penny Reid's genius thoughts that spill into her characters:
“Everything is both more and less. Everything is balance. My chromosomal arrangement is more XX, less XY. You are more musician, less airplane pilot.”
His lips curved weakly, but a spark lit behind his eye. “I could listen to you talk about this forever.”

In the last installment of the Laws of Physics series, TIME, we finally get all the goodness that Mona and Abram so deserve. Our two sweethearts are trying to figure out a way how to make their relationship work long-term. Abram is going on tour with his band while Mona is off to Geneva for a couple of months. Long distance is damned hard and for a while phone calls was everything they had.

It was so utterly touching to see Abram so consumed with his love for Mona, how he physically missed her. Mona, who still had one secret she needed to divulge, found strength and courage in her feelings for Abram. Their love was so deep and all-encompassing and it was almost like it grew stronger, the longer and the farther they were apart. Both of them put so much work into their relationship - I loved how they were so honest and straight with each other and solved their issues with an open mind and kindness.
"I love you with every part of myself, you’ve invaded every corner, every secret place, and I only want—I’ve only ever wanted—your happiness. If you want me to stay, then with you is always where I want to be.”

I can't even with these two. They were two puzzle pieces, belonging together, made for each other.

It was Marie, Abram's sister, who actually described Mona best because she is in love with Mona's male counterpart.
"In fact, she can count the number of people she trusts on one hand. Maybe three fingers. But once she trusts, she trusts. She bends over backward to make those people happy, worries she’ll lose them if she does something wrong. So, she tries to put people in boxes, assigns labels to relationships, so she can lower her expectations, so she’s never hurt.”

See why I loved this heroine so much? It's the same reason why I was wildly in love with Matt.

I thought after finishing SPACE that Mona's siblings and especially Leo weren't redeemable but I found myself understanding that the issues Leo had weren't his issues alone. All three of them grew up in a loveless environment and their parents, separating them during their most impressible and formative age only exacerbated the situation. Mona, Lisa and Leo had everything they could want for, except the one thing the needed most: love

TIME was utter perfection. I swooned, I laughed, I never wanted it to end but eventually it did and Penny gave us the best epilogue possible. This whole trilogy is a beautiful reminder why I love reading romance. I don't think I'll ever tire reading Penny Reid's stories.
“I love you,” he said. Or maybe I did. I couldn’t be certain.
“It’s never going to be enough,” I said. Or maybe he did. I couldn’t be sure.

A sexy and emotional finale for Abram and Mona. Abram soared so high up the swoon-o-meter in this book everything exploded. Or melted. Or fainted. Or all of the above. The point is Abram is quite possibly the swooniest swooner that ever did cause swooning.
Issues raised from the previous books were dealt with beautifully by all of the characters, giving Mona the closure she needed about the past and clearing the air between her and her siblings. Of course, Abram was there every step of the way supporting her and I love him. I'd like a new Abram story every year please for Christmas!
Yummy, comforting and delicious. I loved it! And Abram is now one of my top favourite book boyfriends ever. EVER.

Abram owned me! He grabbed a hold of my heart when this story was put into Motion and he made sure not to let go when he refused to leave any Space between himself and his love. When he and Mona finally found some Time, he decided to finally claim me. And I was oh so willing to be claimed!!

Abram was perfection! I must admit that as much as I've loved Mona, she irked me a bit in this book. Abram's love was so all-consuming that her love felt like an add-on. It wasn't as powerful or as moving as his. I'm sure I shouldn't be comparing how they love, but it was impossible to resist. So while there was no doubt that Mona loves her some Abram, his love for her was a lot more obvious.

★ No one fucks with Mona. No. One.
★ "It's living artistry, Mona." Abram's gaze turned cherishing, earnest. "Being with you is like living in a song."
★ "I love you with every part of myself, you've invaded every corner, every secret place, and I only want - I've only ever wanted - your happiness."

See what I'm saying? I couldn't find not one quote from Mona to encapsulate the same feeling. Sorry, not sorry. But never fear, these two are in love and despite the many obstacles they face, such as time and space, they don't let any of that stop them from being together. With Abram's endless patience and understanding, I can only envision a rapturous future for them both.

My Review:

I adored this series as well as the precious and cleverly matched couple of Mona and Abram; they were fascinatingly complex, multi-layered, and beautifully textured by the divinely talented Penny Reid. Suffering heinous cliffhangers and a near-fatal dose of angst, finally, (yes finally!) the TIME was right, the planets aligned, and hopefully, soonish, the tension in my neck and shoulders will abate as Abram and Mona have finally fallen into sync with an exceptionally cunning, fun, and smirk-worthy ending.

I was much too impatient to wait 2 extra weeks, especially since I knew the Apple edition released early—and I'm so happy I didn't wait! I have devoured (literally devoured; couldn't put it down once I started and waiting between the books was agony!) this series since the first book and this one was no different.

OMG, the feels in this book! I could go on for hours about Mona and Abram, but I won't. Just know that the third book in the series is perfection and the entire series is a can't-miss must-read!!

Time is the conclusion to Mona and Abram's story that I have been dying for since I started their journey. They've had a pretty crazy time over the past two books and it didn't get any less insane in this one. They're two completely different characters, which is what made them so perfect together, but also made it hard for them to be together. I was rooting for them, though, and I couldn't wait to see what kind of ending they would get.

I wasn't disappointed at all with their ending and I was really happy with how everything played out. Mona has been an amazing character this entire trilogy but I think I loved her in this installment the most. She really had her moments to shine and I liked seeing that she became less afraid of sharing herself with her family. It was my favorite thing about it, after the sweetness of her and Abram of course.

This trilogy is definitely one I recommend reading, especially if you love a sweet romance with a unique but kickass heroine.

I don't know why I didn't love this book. I thought for sure after reading Space, that this would be another 5 star read but unfortunately the entire time I was reading I just felt "meh" about it.

I think when it comes down to it, I wanted one thing from this novella but I was given another. In my head, I wanted this novella to be about them in a relationship and working through that. Which, technically this book was that. Except it was more about working through a long distance relationship and barely seeing each other because you're on different parts of the world most of the relationship and I just...didn't want that. I wanted to see them together as in, in the same damn place at the same damn time for more than just two or three days. I wanted to see their first dates and just all the cute little relationship moments and I don't feel like we really got that from this. I feel like the first two novellas was all about this short amount of time and them being together for that and I wanted this one to be more than that. I wanted to see them actually spend a longer period of time together in one place.

I didn't hate this book, I just didn't love it either. I liked it, hence a 3 star rating. The epilogue was cute and the romance is cute but I just wanted more from this story overall. But maybe that has a lot to do with my preference with romance books and for someone else this book will be perfect exactly the way it is. Overall, even though Laws of Physics was one of my most anticipated reads for YEARS, it turned out to not be a favorite. Space (novella #2) was definitely my favorite in this little trilogy and I do like the characters, but I feel like there's so much left underdeveloped and this could've been plotted better.

I have book hangover. I don't think I've ever read a series so fast and furious. Ms. Reid was heartless with her extreme cliffhanger endings. I am sleep deprived, nutritionally unbalanced, I've been living on ice cream and chips, can't stop to cook ! and behind on my real life work. It was so worth it. Finally Moma and Abram got ..... omg seriously you think I'd tell you. HAHA. Read the series, it's toe curling, heart wrenching, fun.

I pushed myself through this and I guess I would've definitely rated it higher if I would've read it a year ago. Because a year ago everything by Reid was fresh and new for me, so I ate up everything I could get my hands on...

Now? Now the awkwardness doesn't seem sweet anymore. Reid gives us those super smart heroines as if being smart is the new black today. But all the heroine's comments in-between, all the talking to herself and social incompetence are getting old really fast.

I agree with Sam here about the long distance relationship part. I've had one for years and yes, Reid captured the feelings and the tension quite well. I appreciated Mona's talking out with her twin, Lisa, and with her brother Leo. Their relationships and the attitude toward Mona was something that really needed to be addressed; and I'm happy it was done.
The rest was a lot more awkwardness and some more pretence.

But, my dearest love, I entered into this beautiful relationship with you knowing that, eventually, once we made our connection public, the peanut gallery was going to pick me apart.
- Who talks like this?!

Getting the characters from other books in this setting seemed like a cheap plot to make new readers get her other books and honestly, it was tiring. I understand Marie being there, she's Abram's sister, but the rest? Leave them be already.

All in all. I'm glad to be finished with it and I somehow see Reid's writing differently these days (also after latest books in the Winston Brothers series). I don't think I'll be picking up her new releases for the time being.

Well that was unexpected. In absolutely the best of ways. Whenever I read a trilogy I try to wait until the last book is available as I have zero patience and the worst memory but it's Penny Reid and I just couldn't wait. I signed up for the blog tour and promptly fell in love with Mona and Abram.

After the second book I was so happy. The identity deception was out and they were together and going to make it work. But OMG my stomach was a massive ball of knots worrying what was going to happen to them. There's always a drama and as I share the same thoughts on rock stars and their lifestyles I assumed Abram was going to break my heart. Then they told me I had to wait until release day to get my ARC to avoid spoilers and my nerves went crazy for Mona.

I actually delayed reading this so if I had to deal with ugly tears it wouldn't be at a time I couldn't wallow in them. But I am glad to report I was way off. This book was awesome. It was the perfect finish to the trilogy and I am so glad I read it. Mona and Abram are beautiful and I loved seeing their journey through time.

Oh and Penny if you stumble upon this I loved that they were thinkers. Thank your husband for us all.

More than 5 stars!

I devoured this story with everything in me. Why do all good things come to an end? Abram and Mona are life. This book gave me intense deep feelings, and made me think. My heart went out to Mona, with the conflict that roared in her mind over what she’d been through at 15. I love how Penny showed us how she worked through it. Mona is a overcomer.

Abram on the other hand is bloody perfect! Downright swoony, and had the patience of a saint. So unbelievably sexy. I’m a sucker for poet, a dirty talker, and a man that can back it all up with action. He was just beyond perfection for me. This whole story was.

Read this series people!!

I already knew I had a Penny addiction before starting Laws of Physics, but not all addictions are bad... right?

I usually devour Penny’s books as soon as they’re released but I can’t deal with cliffhangers, so it’s been torture having to wait for all three instalments of Laws of Physics to release before I could dive in. Then again, it was absolutely worth the wait!

Penny has her own unique writing style, which I admire so much; her stories are always intelligent, quirky, witty and engaging. Laws of Physics is no exception; this slow-burn (heavy on the slow - oh, the angst) series has had me hooked from the start and the tension is so seductive... I couldn’t put it down.

I adored both Mona and Abram, they were real and vulnerable and completely endearing. And the cameos from the KITC series were a fab little bonus.

If you haven’t started this series yet, what are you waiting for? Seriously, I can’t recommend it enough.

“You’re the most remarkable person I’ve ever known.”
“Ditto, Mr. Harris.”

Well if the whole is equal to the sum of its parts... I would have given this one another 4 stars. But that must not be the case, because she seems to have saved all the good stuff for last. Loved this one. I fell so in love with Mona in this book, even though I wanted to shake some sense into her half the time. That inner genius of hers finally started to develop the common sense she was lacking. Lovely series Penny. Abram was a little too good to be true, but hey, I can live with that. I hope we hear more from these characters in the next part of the series. I will definitely put them on the pre-order list.

Overall, the trilogy is pretty good - however, I think the h's issue was carried on way too long and hindered the relationship until the end. The H is totally in love with the h - which is very nice and I thought they worked well together. Books 2 and 3 could've have been combined and the h could've gone to counselling much earlier so this thread didn't eat up so many pages.

what an amazing end to a series! Penny Reid does it again with her unique ability to wrap you up in her intelligent words, her amazingly developed characters, and her heartwarming love stories.

this last installment was just as good as the 1st and 2nd book. every single step of the way with Mona and Abram was heartstopping and exciting and i didn't want to part ways with them. also it was great seeing cameos from Marie and her knitting gang whom i missed very much.

officially on my list of all-time favorite rom-com series. 10/10 definitely recommend!!

5+++++ STARS !!!

Let me just pause for a moment. This book, by far , has been the best book I have read this year (and maybe last year too). From the very first chapter I couldn't put down the book. Mona and Abram are just so imperfectly perfect for each other!
I don't know what else to write but I can say for sure, this series is my favourite of all the Penny Reid books I have read (and I have read them all!!) Do not miss reading it!!!

I originally gave this book 3.5 stars, but I upgraded it to 4 stars after sleeping on it and here’s why. Motion, the first book in the Laws of Physics series, sets an infectious tone of both humor and tension. The second book, Space, is achingly emotional. Time, while very enjoyable, is not the gripping conclusion I was anticipating.

Mona and Abram are still incredibly endearing. Mona’s mind is a brilliantly logical delight, and Abram has the most tender heart imaginable. I adore them both. Their romance is the mother of all slow burns (my favorite!). Two books later and my patience finally paid off in a big way. They are electric and absolutely enchanting together. Their swoony, unconditional love and respect for each other is the heart of this book.

The plot itself is rather straightforward and uneventful. Abram and Mona deal with the challenges of a long distance relationship, and I was absolutely invested, but I kept waiting for more. More struggles beyond just missing each other. More humor. Even more in-depth exploration of conflicts between Mona’s siblings. More time spent with characters that completely disappeared in this book. More glimpses into Mona’s life apart from Abram. Just…more.

This is a prime example of a character-driven story. I loved Mona and Abram’s frank discussions, flirtatious banter, and introspection. Their personal growth throughout the entire series is huge. It is a testament to Penny Reid’s highly developed characters that my interest was sustained even without any seismic events.

In hindsight, I wish I had adjusted my expectations beforehand and gone in prepared for a thoughtful romance instead of an all-consuming, agonizing heartbreaker. That’s my bad. And considering the quality of the writing and my love for Mona and Abram, I had to increase my rating. The story is filled with authentic emotions, and although the conclusion isn’t what I anticipated, I would not hesitate to read this series all over again.

It was great to read the completion of Mona and Abram’s story and as an overall series, I enjoyed it. I felt a little underwhelmed by this instalment and that Abram in particular was so far removed from the character in book one that it was somewhat jarring initially. Mona had a bit of a character transformation too. However, I went with it and enjoyed seeing where things ended up.
