A very enjoyable read to end the 3-part Lantern Beach Guardians series. I am sure we have not heard the last of Cassidy and Ty but this was a really good series that had great character development for the main cast and also enjoyable, edge-of-your-seat mystery and suspense. I will probably go back and read some of the books I missed with the Blackout characters and will definitely read some more with Cassidy and Ty in the future.

My thoughts: this book is wrapping up all the loose ends in the previous books in the series. If you read the first few books and wondered about all the loose threads you will want to read safe and sound to find out what happens. There are still plenty of twists and turns so you won't know what to expect but this is a nice conclusion to a series. If you like suspense or cozy mysteries you will want to read Christy Barrett books. I was given a copy free. And all opinions are my own

I have truly enjoyed reading these books by Christy Barritt! This series is just the icing on the cake of all her Lantern Beach books! Christy Barritt knows how to really bring suspense, action, drama, and bits of humor and romance into each of her stories.
In this story, we find Cassidy struggling to keep herself calm as she tries to solve the latest mystery. If she doesn’t her life may be turned upside down and more people will suffer. With the help from Ty, Cassidy’s husband, she finds the support she needs. But it’s still hard to hold onto hope.
Let me tell you, this book had so much on it! Oh Wow! I really don’t know how Cassidy was able to hold it together!
These characters seem so real, you feel EVERYTHING these characters feel, and they just jump off the pages. Their issues are often just like mine, (except for the running from danger stuff!) and they deal with some of the same things I deal with. I love how the author weaves in a strong hope in God’s protective hand, and the realization that without God, life can be much more difficult. Of course, I’m not sure how Cassidy’s life could get more difficult!
Christy Barritt truly is a gifted author because her books are always so full of interesting adventures, that makes it so hard to breathe. This book is so suspenseful I had no idea which person was the true bad guy. My heart was pounding and my mind was going fast trying to figure out how it was all going to end. Oh, and what an ending! WOW!
This story will keep you on the edge of your seat until you finish it. Be prepared to not put it down, even to eat or sleep! If you like twists and turns, “who done it” stories, then you need to buy this book!

Safe and Sound picks up right where Shock and Awe ends. I highly recommend reading the series in order, especially since some threads continued into this story.

This book has an epic conclusion with all the threads tying up nicely. It kept me on the edge of my seat with several twists and turns and Cassidy in precarious situations a couple of times. It was hard to know who to trust and who was the mastermind behind all the things that had happened.
I highly recommend the entire series.

This book DEFINITELY kept me up past my bedtime, but MAN once I read to a certain point there was just no way I was putting my kindle away!!
Loved that Cassidy calls a meeting with her deputies, Mac, and the Blackout guys for a special reveal...have been waiting for that moment for MANY books with these Lantern Beach characters. Proud of Cassidy and she's not even real.
Character disliked THE MOST was agent Watkins; oh my gosh this guy is a troublemaker.
Character LOVED in every book is easily Mac. Cassidy even asks Mac to take over as Chief of Police briefly while she gets answers.
There was a wonderfully happy ending to this story, but it didn't quite go as I hoped it would. It's so unfortunate that a certain agent is killed, but as the story unwinds the conclusion makes sense and it was written perfectly. So looking forward to the NEXT series!

Safe and Sound belongs on the Must-Read list due to concluding in a most satisfying ending. Page one greedily grabs your attention with shocking and explosive action until the completion. New, intriguing characters pave the way for future series. I eagerly devoured this trilogy finale in one evening.

Safe and Sound by Christy Barritt ties up nicely a number of huge threads that have been running through this three part book series. As usual, the mystery surrounded Cassidy. This time, Barritt goes as far to make Cassidy a suspect for a while. Who can Cassidy and Ty trust? Who can they turn to for help? This is a fast-paced, quick read but filled with so many different directions that the mystery could go that readers are taken for a joy ride through Cassidy's darkest moments. A nice way to end this little series. I recommend picking up this novel, if readers are a fan of Barritt's other Lantern Beach stories or her writing in general.

Secrets that were supposed to stay hidden are starting to come to light and the past is rearing it's ugly head in this exciting conclusion to the Lantern Beach Guardians series.
What a wild ride! Safe and Sound was such a satisfying ending to this series. It's my favorite Barritt story in recent memory. That beginning? So good! It had me invested, intrigued, and anxious. And that ending? It brought tears to my eyes. Happy ones, not sad ones. And all the stuff in between was so suspenseful. All combined, it made for an unputdownable read.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this book and am curious about what will happen next on Lantern Beach. If you're a fan of suspense, I highly recommend this series.

Finally!
Cassidy & Ty battle bad guys all over Lantern Beach, which has been a hotbed of murder & skulduggery ever since Cassidy arrived & was hired as the new police chief. She has also, in along the way since marrying Ty, struggled with the desire (& inability) to have a baby. When Annabeth washed up onshore, she thought it was a possibility that this would bv e their chance to have a child via foster/adoption. Then Annabeth's parents were found, so that window closed. Prayers are answered in God's way & in His timing. An excellent end to the Guardians series. Blackout is coming, so Lantern Beach will still host criminal events.

Wow! My heart is just beginning to slow down from reading this latest suspense book by Christy Barritt. Someone is out to frame Police Chief Cassidy Chambers for murder and she needs to find out who it is - not only to clear her name but to get justice for her murdered friend. All the people we have come to know and love on Lantern Beach come into play as the circle draws closer and closer to find answers once and for all. Whether you have read the previous books or this is your first introduction to Lantern Beach, you will be drawn in from the first sentence until the last heart-stopping moment. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.

This series was different from Christy's other series, this is basically one long story split into three books. Cassidy and Ty are drawn into a very deep conspiracy when they find a little girl washed up on the beach wearing a life vest with Cassidy's name on it. This book is the culmination of their very tense and dangerous journey to find out who is behind the killings and the threats that they have faced. These are not stand alone stories, you need to read this one from book one. I think I found this series the most tense of all of the Lantern Beach series - but I was drawn in and my attention held throughout all three books.

Safe and Sound is a fast paced novel that will keep you engaged once you begin reading it. I am glad that like the book's title, Cassidy and Ty are finally safe in the end and will experience some much needed peace and stability. After all, in reality, not many people have that kind of non-stop drama going on in their lives. I was saddened at the loss of Samuel but was happy that Agent Watkins turned out to be a good guy. Mac continued to be the cool guy whose age, experience, and friendship has him coming to the rescue in subtle ways at the right time. Safe and Sound was an all's well that ends well story with a cherry on top that I won't mention.

OK what a great finish to this series! So much action and with the title and the storyline it had me wondering what it "Safe and Sound" was going to mean.
Cassidy is such a great leading lady! She is strong in so many ways and smart, but she also is vulnerable and relies on her husband.
This final installment of the Guardians series didn't disappoint. Their was action from the opening pages throughout the story. I don't want to give away too much, because I don't want to give a hint on how it ends, but I will say I cried and I don't often do that!
I do recommend reading this series in order to enjoy the full impact of the story.
I gave this book 5 stars because it hit all the emotions and even made me cry a little.
The author also sets us up for the new series with the introduction of Rocco!

This next addition in an exciting Lantern Beach series keeps up the hectic pace we’ve come to expect from this talented author. The story continues, so these books are best read in order. This novel wraps up some of the lingering issues from Police Chief Cassidy Chambers’ past, along with plenty of action and surprises. I hope we will continue to see more from these characters who have become like friends. Even if you haven’t read any of the prior mysteries with Cassidy, if you like suspense, you should enjoy this intriguing tale. I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.

Ty will do just about anything possible to help her, but what. Everything appears totally against them. Trusting God is there is very difficult in their current situation. How will it all play out? That is the big question!!!!

I had a Beta Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Christy Barritt has written a great concluding book for this series! The characters are wonderful and the suspense really adds to the plot. Both old friends and new characters are involved, as well as several murders or attempted murders, which Cassidy must figure out before she becomes one of them. Issues of who to trust also play an important part in the story. This book is a must read!

In the exciting conclusion to Lantern Beach Guardians, Cassidy has to try to solve the murder of a friend, all the while defending herself against suspicions of guilt in the murder, and possible danger from her past. If Cassidy, Ty, the Blackout Team, and their friends can't solve the mystery and find the threat to Cassidy, everything Cassidy and Ty have worked so hard to build could disappear overnight. This was a great ending to a wonderful series. This is the last book in the Lantern Beach Guardians series. I loved how the big mystery was solved in this book. There was a lot of non-stop action and a few twists along the way. The Lantern Beach gang, especially Cassidy, feel like friends!
I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys good, clean, romantic suspense novels. I received this novel from the author for my honest opinion.

Excellent
Christy Barritt did an excellent job with Safe and Sound! This story is packed with suspense, fear, hope, faith and romance. The characters are so real and relatable! It’s easy to love the good guys and totally dislike the bad guys. When you have people trying to frame you or kill, trusting God is your safest and best option. Cassidy and Ty are great characters!

Action doesn't stop for Cassie and Ty
Full of suspense, this is an exciting way to close the Lantern Beach Guardian series. I am looking forward to new characters as Christy Barrett moves on with the new recruits of Blackout Security. Her characters walk off the page and into hearts!

Such a great book!
Ah! I loved this entire book from start to finish. It was so stinkin' good! The excitement never stopped. The storyline was absolutely fantastic. Reading every book so far that this author has written with this storyline, this book tied so many loose ends up. I can't wait for more and am so glad she keeps writing about the people on this island.

Christy Barritt likes to keep her readers guessing. In this final novel in the Lantern Beach Guardians there is so much suspense that we're not sure who are the good guys. Cassidy may be on the wrong side of the law this time. The love of her life Ty isn't sure how to help

I absolutely loved this book, Safe and Sound. Besides being an amazing couple, Cassidy and Ty working together to solve the happenings in this story is beyond amazing. This story is a page turner right from the beginning. The surprise at the end is the best part of the book. I highly recommend reading this intriguing story.

I enjoyed all the Lantern Beach series, but this storyline hit home on a personal level. Christy Barrit is a gifted story teller. I would have no problem recommending her books ... No smut ... sweet romance... the value of true friendship... and a bit of heart thumping suspense

WOW! Just when I thought that her stories couldn't get any better here she comes with "Safe and Sound". This story is truly awesome. I just couldn't put it down. Every emotion I could have possibly felt was definitely felt. Thank you Christy God bless you lady you are a truly amazing writer.

I started reading Christy Barritt books last year, but had no idea she’d written so many, so I was reading them out of order. Finally got a list together and the stories make more sense now, even though the different series can stand on their own. I love that they are clean with no bad language.
This was a very good series. The 3rd book really kept my attention. I couldn’t wait to finish it.
