Another fantastic Bravo book. Linc Stryker arrives in Valentine Bay determined to give his orphaned niece and nephew a Christmas to remember. He's feeling just a bit overwhelmed as he tries to balance work and caring for Jayden and Maya. Lucky for him, he meets Harper as soon as he arrives.
Harper Bravo is the last of her siblings (except for the missing Finn) left uncoupled. That's okay with her as she has plans that don't include staying in Valentine Bay. Though she enjoys working with the production company she and her sister Hailey own, she is looking for more. Harper has plans to move to Seattle and pursue her architecture dreams. All she needs is enough money to make the move.
I loved the first meeting between Linc and Harper. While Linc gets Maya out of the car, Jayden takes off for Harper's cottage, which is next door. He remembers her from the previous year. Surprised at finding Jayden alone at her door, she takes him back to the Stryker house. Linc's relief at seeing her with Jayden is evident, and Harper quickly jumps in to help him get settled with the kids. Knowing a good thing when he sees it, Linc offers to pay Harper to watch the kids when he has to work.
I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Linc and Harper. The sparks between them are obvious from the beginning, but both try to ignore them. Linc is only in Valentine Bay for the holidays, and Harper has her plans in Seattle. I liked watching them become friends, sharing some alone time as they get to know each other. The attraction between them continues to simmer until they decide to give in to it. The more time they spend together, the more Linc wants to see where it goes while Harper fears that they won't last past the holidays. Just as she agrees to continue the relationship past the new year, a combination of events makes her rethink that plan. I ached for her on Christmas, as she realized her feelings for Linc only to have him make a bone-headed mistake (though with good intentions). To make matters worse, Linc's ex-fiancée arrives in a desperate attempt to get him back. I was very impressed with Linc's ability to maintain his cool around that spoiled brat of a woman and her two enablers. I loved seeing Hailey show up with some advice for Harper about not giving up. Even better was Hailey's straight talk with Linc and what he did with it.
Family is always a big part of the Bravo books. For Linc, nothing is as important to him as making sure that Jayden and Maya have a happy holiday. He's a bit worried about pulling it off because he didn't have the best example growing up. His mother is still bitter over her divorce from Linc's father, and her conversations with Linc show it. She is also selfish and interfering. Linc's father has always been distant and is on his third wife. There were some terrific scenes with him as he showed some unexpected changes in attitude. Jayden and Maya are simply adorable.
The Bravo family is large and loving. Sunday family dinners have played a part in all of the books as love interests are included. I liked the way that Linc and the kids fit so easily into the group. Their brother Finn, who disappeared during a family trip when he was ten, is always on their minds. Each book has talked about their ongoing search for him. There's an unexpected development in that search during the epilogue, and I can't wait for the next book to see where it goes.
Author : Christine Rimmer A Temporary Christmas Arrangement (The Bravos of Valentine Bay Book 10) 280 pages Publication date: December 1, 2020 Publisher: Harlequin Special Edition 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Description: Neither Harper Bravo nor Lincoln Stryker are planning to stay in Valentine Bay. But when they can’t deny the spark between them, will love be enough to have them both changing their plans? ⛄🎄MY REVIEW⛄🎄 A Temporary Christmas Arrangement is the 10th book in Bravos of Valentine Bay series and what an amazing book it was!! This was such a sweet story that grabbed my heart and wouldn't let go. I Absolutely fell in love with the characters. The characters are easy to care about and to root for them to find love. This story really tugs at your heart strings! You will fall in love with the kids Maya and Jayden. They are so precious.I just love all the emotions I feel reading one of Christine Rimmers books. She really makes you feel everything these people are going through.
Thank you Christine Rimmer for this beautiful book that touched my heart and soul. This is one I know I'll reread many times in the future.
When Lincoln Stryker’s sister and Brother-in-law die while on vacation, it leaves him with their 2 small children to raise. Exit the fiancé when he puts the children first. Linc takes Jayden & Maya to Valentine Bay for Christmas like their parents used to and thankfully runs into Harper Bravo when Jayden takes off to her cabin next door and they meet with immediate attraction. Hailey agrees to nanny the children to help earn money for her move at the beginning of the year that is meant “to find herself”. The attraction deepens more and more and the children get more and more attached to Harper. Linc’s Mother repeatedly tries to intervene and pulls all sorts of shenanigans in order to get Linc to take back her best friends daughter aka the ex fiancé. There are so many emotions going through my head a a reader until the very end and then the epilogue will blow your mind!!! You will have to read this to find out if Mom succeeded and what exactly is in the epilogue. This is a must read and a great continuation of Valentine Bay for sure!

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year! You can expect a miracle or two to happen when you least expect it to. Lincoln Stryker lost his sister and brother inlaw earlier in the year and he is the guardian to his sister's children. He decides to take them to Valentine Bay for Christmas to continue the tradition for the kids sake. However, he soon realizes he can't do it all by himself. He can't work and take care of 2 small children. Harper Bravo lives next door and Linc makes her an offer she just can't refuse. This is a wonderful story of love and redemption and the cutest 2 kids you'll ever read about. Christmas is all about new beginnings and possibilities. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
This is another wonderful “Bravos of Valentine Bay” book. Lincoln brings his young orphaned niece and nephew to town to celebrate the holidays and runs into Harper while looking for his nephew who has run off. I fell in love with the children and didn’t want the book to end. However, the ending is fabulous and gives me something else to look forward to.
Harper Bravo is trying to find a way to earn money for a move to Seattle, Washington to continue her career and education. Lincoln “Linc” Stryker is bringing his orphaned nephew and niece to have Christmas in Valentine Bay. Linc needs a nanny to help out while they’re there for the Christmas Holiday. Neighbor Harper is willing to help out. A strong attraction just may lead a TEMPORARY CHRISTMAS ARRANGEMENT into a more permanent one.
Christine Rimmer continues her Bravo’s of Valentine Bay series with the last sibling’s story. A passionate Christmas holiday story that takes two people of a road of discovering real love that they’ve never known before. A woman takes a nanny job to move from her hometown to continue her career and finds love along the way. A couple who start with a TEMPORARY CHRISTMAS ARRANGEMENT that just may take two people from not knowing what love is to finding it for themselves. There are a few surprises along the way and misunderstanding to be worked through it come hopefully to a happily ever after. Christine Rimmer’s Bravo series story TEMPORARY CHRISTMAS ARRANGEMENT is a must read for her fans along with all her books. A satisfying end to the most recent Bravo extended family series Bravo’s of Valentine Bay, or is it? The surprise ending will have you wanting to come back to Valentine Bay and the Bravo family to find out what happens next. I’m anxiously awaiting the next story to come from this wonderful author.
The Bravos of Valentine Bay is a wonderful and delightful series. If you haven't read it I highly recommend it. Celebrate the holidays and fall in love with Valentine Bay.
Living in Valentine Bay most of her life Harper Bravo is searching for who she is and what she wants out of life. Spending summers in Valentine Bay as a child, Lincoln Stryker is a struggling single dad to his niece and nephew. He came to Valentine Bay to give them a special family Christmas after losing their parents.
Lincoln needs a nanny for his niece and nephew and Harper needs a job to pay her way so she can leave Valentine Bay. Romance in the air, but it can only be a temporary Christmas arrangement. Because after the holidays, Lincoln and the kids will return to Portland and Harper will pack up to leave Valentine Bay to find herself. Before the end of the season a a bond forms between Harper, Lincoln and the children that could last a lifetime, if only she would say yes.
Christine Rimmer hits it out of the park with this new Christmas story! Linc and Harper are amazing characters. It is wonderful to see them come together with his niece and nephew as a family. Linc's family throws some interesting curve balls, but the couple comes through it together. Love the nod to container housing that is so popular now! Looking forward to reading the adventures of Finn in the story in 2021
In the latest edition to the Valentine Bay Bravo Family, we dig deep into the life of Harper Bravo. Harper is ready to move on to bigger and better things and spread her wings and in order for her to do that, she is preparing to move to Seattle and further her degree in architecture. With a timeline in mind, she is saving every penny. Then one day, the doorbell rings and the adorable little boy from the previous Christmas is standing on the porch to see is friend Harper. Harper and the little boy's very attractive uncle hit it off and almost immediately work out a plan that helps each other out over the holidays. Lincoln "Linc" Stryker has brought his orphaned nephew and niece to Valentine Bay in an effort to keep the holidays as they have been each year prior so the children can experience the joys of the season. Linc took custody of the children after his sister and brother-in-law were killed in a tragic accident and he may not have thought this trip through completely. Harper is just what the family needs to survive the season. A very strong connection and mutual attraction might change the TEMPORARY CHRISTMAS ARRANGEMENT to a permanent arrangement.
Christine Rimmer does it again with her latest in the series about a family of siblings that basically raised themselves after the death of their parents. I really enjoyed this story and the interactions between Harper and Linc from the beginning. The characters pull you in with their wit, companionship, and steamy build-up to their romantic relationship. Ms. Rimmer per usual, provides twists and turns along the way that not only play with the emotions of the characters but also of the readers. There are misunderstandings that have to be worked through but that is the way life is. Ms. Rimmer's characters are REAL. They are not perfect or a storybook rendition of what a perfect life we all want, they come as three dimensional with feelings. This is one of the many reasons that I keep coming back for another story, year after year. This sweet and steamy story is the perfect ending to the Bravo family stories, or is it??? The surprise ending will have you impatient to revisit Valentine Bay as soon as possible to find out what is going to happen next. So Ms. Rimmer, the ball is in your court. Once again, you knocked it out of the ballpark and we are anxiously awaiting the next story.
Christine Rimmer's Bravos of Valentine Bay series continues with the ninth book: A Temporary Christmas Arrangement.
I love this series and this latest book is no disappointment! Harper Bravo reconnects with Jayden when he pays her a surprise visit at her cottage next door from theirs. She remembers him as one of the children who was participated in last year's Christmas production given by Harper and her sister Hailey who co-own a theater production company featuring seasonal plays working with children. Jayden has come to see Harper and Hailey without his uncle's knowledge and he comes looking for his nephew.
Lincoln Stryker is the brother of Jayden and Maya's mother Megan. The children's parents were killed in a plane accident in January and their Uncle Linc has taken over the care of the children. The Strykers are one of the richest families in Oregon. They own Stryker Marine Transport a company run for four generations, among other investments.
Linc and the children return to Valentine Bay for the holidays because Linc wants to give the children a good Christmas, one as close to the kind they when his sister Megan was alive. The Stryker cottage was next door to the Bravo sister's cottage and so they were neighbors. Harper lived there alone now since her sister moved out.
After finding Jayden with Harper, the adults introduce themselves and of course there is an attraction in the making. Linc admits that he is a bit overwhelmed with working and having the kids and so he and Harper agree that she would assist him with childcare while they are there for the holidays. They form a temporary arrangement.
This is a delightful story with the usual family dynamics and issues. You'll want to read this one because you'll come away with a sense of family, love, and of course holiday cheer. I absolutely loved it and I can't wait for Finn's story, the next in this delightful series.
A Temporary Christmas is the ninth book in Christine Rimmer’s: A Bravos of Valentine Bay series. Harper Bravo has plans to relocate in the new year to Seattle. She’s biding her time helping coordinate a holiday play with her sister. Out of the blue, she is greeted by two children whom she met the previous year. Jayden and Maya have recently lost their parents and are now being raised by their uncle Linc.
Linc Stryker is a businessman who runs Stryker Marine and has recently broken his engagement from his longtime fiancée. He decided to spend Christmas at their home in Valentine Bay so he could keep up holiday traditions with the children. Linc realizes he can’t run his business and take care of the children at the same time so he hires Harper as their nanny.
One thing both of them are familiar with is grief. He losing his sister and brother-in-law and she her brother Finn, who went missing in Serbia when she was a child, along with her parents who were killed in a tsunami. As they grow closer together, the deadline of her relocation looms in the background. Will he convince her to give them a chance? Will Linc’s fiancée cause Harper to rethink their whole relationship?
Christmas is a special time of year and A Temporary Christmas is a wonderful story that I highly recommend. Ms. Rimmer treats us to glimpses of past characters. It is also a standalone book; however, I suggest reading the other books in the series. I look forward to the next book in the series where we discover where Finn has been all the years.
I received an advance copy of A Temporary Christmas which I chose to read and review. This is my honest opinion.
I just loved A Temporary Christmas Arrangement by Christine Rimmer!!! I love Christmas romances and this is one of the best!!! Handsome, sexy Lincoln Stryker has just inherited his adorable niece and nephew after the tragic death of his sister and brother in law. Linc needs a crash course in being a father. His beautiful next door neighbor, Harper Bravo is living on her own now that her sister has found romance and misses having a fun pal to hangout with. She loves kids and he needs help with his adorable children will romance bloom? Lincoln is a wonderful man who loves his niece and nephew but comes from a troubled family. Harper comes from a wonderful loving family but has plans of her own. I just love all the characters in this romance and could not put it down. You will adore Jayden and Maya, the nephew and niece, and immediately fall in love with handsome, sexy Lincoln. Harper is a wonderful giving woman who is just what this wonderful family of three needs. A Temporary Christmas Arrangement has everything you want in a holiday romance! A Temporary Christmas Arrangement by Christine Rimmer
Harper Bravo is in a quandary. Her sister, Hailey, has moved out of their cottage in Valentine Bay. Harper was feeling antsy even before her sister moved out. She wants to move, spread her wings. Someone else could take her place at the theater. But, she would miss her family. Should she move?
Harper and Lincoln Stryker meet when he moves into the cottage next door to give his orphaned niece and nephew a special Christmas. Harper becomes the temporary nanny to the children so that Lincoln can do his job. This gives her extra money to put in her move-to-Seattle fund.
Does Harper stay in Valentine Bay? Does she move to Seattle? Or does she move somewhere else? What does Lincoln do about his former fiancé, who still wears his ring? Find out when you buy “A Temporary Christmas Arrangement” by Christine Rimmer. This is a great story and will keep your interest.
By the way, Finn is found! Or rather, he finds them. We just have to wait until May for his story.
Another great book in the Bravo Valentine Bay series! Linc Stryker has come to Valentine Bay with his orphaned niece and nephew to give them a special Christmas. The family cottage is next door to Harper Bravo's house and the kids, especially Jayden were looking forward to seeing her, so much that he ran over to see her, scaring Linc when he couldn't find him. This leads up to Linc asking Harper if she would be willing to be a part time Nanny for the kids so he could get some work done. Harper is planning to leave Valentine Bay and needs the extra money so she says yes! She loves the kids and they are adorable, Maya, at two is precious and Jayden is a "little man" but the attraction between Harper and Linc is powerful. As the days go by, they confide in each other, getting to know each other, and agree to a fling that will last until they go their separate ways after the holidays. But the heart knows what the heart wants. As they deal with several things thrown their way, will that love survive?
I say this after every book of Christine Rimmer's that I read. This is the best one yet. Well she did it again. This is the best book yet. I really enjoyed the cast of characters, the story line and everyone needs a Lincoln Stryker in their life or at least I do.
Harper and Hailey live in Valentine Bay and Hailey has moved out to live with her fiance Roman. Harper is still in the cottage next door to The Stryker Family cottage in Valentine Bay. Linc shows up their with Jayden and Maya. These are his sisters children that he is now raising since losing his sister and her husband last Jan in an accident. She used to take her children to the cottage every year at Christmas so Linc wants to do that this year.
Its a really great story that I think you will enjoy. It gave me a lot of different feels reading the story but it is definitely worth the read.
Hoping to make Christmas better for his niece and nephew, Linc goes to the house his family owns in Valentine Bay for the holiday. He gets in a bit over his head by not bringing the nanny but wants a ‘family’ Christmas.
Harper, getting ready to make some life changing decisions, needs to bump up her bank account. When Linc makes her an offer she can’t refuse, Harper jumps in with both feet.
What a fabulous Christmas story. Ms. Rimmer once again took us through all the feels. Orphans, an Uncle who wants to make everything OK for them, but it will never be the same, and the last uncoupled woman who has a huge family of couples trying to make good choices for herself. Decisions need to be made by both Linc and Harper. Will they be able to pull together for each other or will others pull them apart?
"A Temporary Christmas Arrangement" by Christine Rimmer the 10th book in the Valentine Bay series is a great addition to the series. This is the story of Harper Bravo & Linc Stryker. Harper has plans to relocate to Settle in the new year and Linc is just trying to get thru the holidays with his niece & nephew. Jayden and Maya recently lost their parents and now are being raised by Linc. He decided to spend Christmas in Valentine bay with the children so he can keep the family tradition. Linc needs a nanny and Harper needs money for her big move. Harper becomes their temporary nanny so Linc can do his job. Their Chemistry is undeniable but his past and her move to Settle. Can they meet in the middle? Do they have a chance??? The only way to find out is to read "A Temporary Christmas Arrangement" to see if they get their happy ever after.
Wanting to move to fnd herself Harper Bravo plans to move to Seattle, but needs more money saved up to live. Does she accept the nanny job or wife and mother?
Lincoln Stryker heart broken over losing his sister and brother in law in a plane crash and took custody of his young niece and nephew while trying to give them a normal Thanksgiving and Christmas. Freshly broken up with his ex fiancee goes to Valentine Bay with the kids meets Harper and the hearts are a flickering. Will they find happy ever after, or will his mother, father and ex fiancee cause him leave his family behind or agree to go back.
Harper is one of the last Bravos to find love, after her sister moved out, she had worries of not finding anyone. She pushed those thoughts aside, made plans to begin and improve her life, moving away from Valentine Bay to the big city.
Lincoln owns a big company and now is cares for his orphaned niece and nephew and brings them to visit Valentine Bay, as their parents had done previously.
He needs help with the kids, she needs to build up her money to prepare for her move, sounds like a great arrangement for the temporary neighbors.
Wonderfully written, solid characters and a beautiful plot make this a wonderful addition to the Bravo family series.
Another good story in the Bravo's of Valentine Bay series. Harper and Lincoln met when he needs a hand and she becomes the holiday nanny for his niece and nephew. His fiancee broke their engagement and Harper has plans to move to Seattle to start on a new career path. Read to find out what happens when sparks fly and both of their families become involved in their lives. I did receive this book as part of the review crew, but would have purchased anyway since I've been reading Christine Rimmer's books for years. They never disappoint.
Christine Rimmer does it AGAIN with this latest edition from the Bravo's of Valentine's Bay. Linc and Harper's love story just made me want to keep reading. The wonderful way the attraction between them weaves through the story was so gripping that I couldn't put it down!! I love that Harper's love for the kids makes it harder for her to admit she's fallen for Linc and his devotion to the kids keeps him from declaring his love for her! I can't wait for the next edition to come out!! Thank you, Christine Rimmer for such a WONDERFUL story for the Christmas season!!
This book was a great Christmas addition to the Bravos of Valentine Bay series. The first chapter hooks the reader into the potential romance between Linc Stryker and Harper Bravo. As Harper takes the unexpected role of nanny to Linc’s niece and nephew who is raising as sweet by steamy romance develops! The characters in this book were real and relatable and the storyline was captivating. This is a great standalone read but also a great piece in the Bravo series. I recommend as a great Christmas read!
Linc Stryjer. Has his hands full: remotely running his business, caring for his orphaned nephew and niece, and convincing his ex-fiancee she is his EX-FIANCEE. Throw in a distant father with a pregnant 3rd wife and Linc's absent, bitter mother - whew! No wonder he is taken with Harper Bravo's calm manner. Or is it the way she loves his nephew and niece? Whatever, he needs to find a way to convince her she is what he needs and wants in his life.
Loved this story! Harper and Linc are great characters and Hayden and Maya are terrific sidekicks. A believable story with interesting family entwined. Harper has a large loving family, and Linc has a dysfunctional mother and not very close relationship with his father. Harper and Linc's relationship grows close real fast. I hated for story to end.
Wow I have to say I loved this book! I found it very Christmassy but also very heartwarming. I love that Linc's niece and nephew had such adorable personalities. I love the whole story between Harper and Linc and how they found true love with some bumps and bruises along the way. It was a very wonderful read.
Will a temporary Christmas arrangement lead to a more permanent arrangement? This is another story in the Bravo's of Valentine Bay series by Christine Rimmer. Harper Bravo decides to take a nanny job for Lincoln Stryker to help him out. Neither saw the sparks between them coming. They try to downplay their attraction but in the end, through the rough patches, their love prevails.
Breathe taking story I love how Linc and Harper think their romance is a temporary thing and it turns into true love. Maya and Jayden are awesome and well adjusted kids even though they lost their parents.
