The erotica has failed to load
Uhm, why the hell am I reading about the break-in and robbery of a side character's dog that she doesn't even own but is pet sitting and why do I have to read about the weird undercover plan they come up with to get the dog back?
Why am I reading about a random teen's home situation and whether the hero's assumptions about rich people might not always be right?
Why am I not reading any smut in this smutty novella?
Oh wait, there it is! At 55%~ oh wait no... We lost it. No no, here it is, at 80%.... and it's over.
Also, no quickening = clean breeding = unhappy review.

May December romance with an older, chonky hero and a younger heroine smitten with him. I have to say, it didn’t work for me and the dirty cop made me cringe a bit. Also struggled to finish this!

Tbh, i read this because of the title and the cover. I was intrigued. I saw that authors tried to branch different body type and I personally liked it. This one also, I supposed. The H was not your average chiseled, six pack or lean physique; but he rock his dad bod. Personality wise he's warm and caring with enormous streak of obsessive borderlined stalker-ish; and he knew it all well. Dont worry, the possessiveness were mutual.
The story was well written with thorough background story. It explained well why both MCs were they were. And how both complement each other. The smuttiness was also well built as the story progress.

Character development: Yes this was really short and there wasn't a complicated plot at all. I loved it. Nina was adorable, and I actually would have liked more of the actual DDlg relationship rather than just the light Daddy kink. It was hinted at but not fully explored. Still, I loved the way that he took care of her and thought about her all the time. And his son was hilarious:

Awwww omg this was actually so cute I do think that low key her parents shouldn’t have said shit bc they haven’t cared about her in a while so they can shut up also can we get a story abt zack or is there a story abt him I hope I’m also glad he accepted it and didn’t get mad at his dad. And I like how before they did anything he told her to put clothes on so they could talk I think that shows how serious he wanted to be.

I’m on a short novella kick again this week, and “Thick Cop Daddy” fits what I was looking for. It was strictly shmut. I didn’t need to question anything. It is what it is. It’s steamy. There’s a big age gap; he is slightly stalkerish and a bit d/d/l//g. He’s sweet, too, with a dad bod going on, and there’s a HEA. I liked it.

It is worth the read. There is for sure a gap age here and Nina has felt something for her neighbor since the day her best friend, rescues her from being afraid and alone. She is never sure they feel the kinship the why she does or if it is just pity. Now, Zach is gone off to college, and Nina is left to her resource. She may have been adopted but was never cherished because she was her parents (used loosely) never felt she measured up academically.
That’s what she loved about, Reed he gives love and praise, and for just being him, her too, since she is his friend. Then, the idea of him being a big, burly cop is an extremely sexy, turn on. When she gets, locked out of her house, as a kid, he gives her a key, to his him, which she, still has today. So, late one evening, she is walking home and a car slows down nearing closer to her. She starts to panic when the person rolls the window down and it's Reed who had only got off shift.
Giving a ride home from an animal shelter job, he asks if she walks home normally he says no her parents must have forgotten her again, when he arrives home it appears dark. She is surprised when he wants to walk her to the door, when no one is inside he appears more angry. Yet, not at her. When she finds a note, saying they went on vacation, and if something goes wrong the left, and envelope with the teen, across the street. Like they don't trust her. Now, Reed is for sure, irate.

Nina is a sweet young girl who hasn’t figured out what she wants to do with her life, her adoptive parents are both professors and don’t understand why she doesn’t want to go to college. They are careless of her and often times forget they have a daughter. Reed is a police officer who lives next door, he has watched Nina grow up and has witnessed her parents crappy treatment of her. One evening while walking home, because her parents forgot to pick her up, Reed sees this beautiful woman walking and is instantly aroused and attracted, he sees its Nina and is happy. Nina has been crushing on Reed forever and finds him very sexy. Reed is a bit stalkery of Nina, but she turns the tables on him by sneaking into his house and waiting naked for him. They talk through their attraction to one another and before they can have sex they are interrupted. After a confrontation with her parents he takes her back to his place and they confess their love for one another and have their happily ever after. Epilogue one month later with Reed getting ready to propose. Little bit of Daddy kink and they have sex for the first time in his cruiser with her handcuffed.
My first time reading Jaye Diamond, I enjoyed the book and will read more from the author.

Steamy, short and sweet.
I love these super fast reads. My life is so chaotic and busy that finding the time to read a loooong, slow-burning romance always isn’t possible and these short novellas feed my romance craving while also not requiring three days of my life to devote to it. So kudos to the author for that!
The plot was simple, but written well. small town cop helps his long-time neighbor get home and for the first time he notices how much she has grown up. It lights a hunger in him for her that he never had before. He’s possessive, protective and almost stalkerish as he watches over her.
The h is young, barely legal and has been an ignored and neglected kid. She craves stability, to be seen and needed. And she’s always wanted her hunky, stern neighbor.
There’s no cheating of any kind, no abuse sexual or physical, hero has been celibate for years, heroine is a virgin and there’s a HEA with an epilogue although not far out.
I like this authors writing and style and I’m definitely checking out more of her books

This book is exactly what the title says! Reed is a no nonsense, tell it as it is, stern yet loving cop rocking a dad bod. Nina is his much younger, kind, caring, sweetheart of a neighbor. They've known each other forever, but recently those feelings have started to change. When the neglect by Nina's parents becomes more and more apparent, Reed steps up to care for the barely legal temptress. Nina has longed for someone to care about her, for someone to love and watch over her, fully intending to spoil them in return. Her strong, protective neighbor fits the bill perfectly! I loved this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable even though it was short. The characters were relatable and likable. Daisy was a great friend for Nina and vice versa. Hopefully, Daisy will get a book of her own (hint, hint!). The way that Reed felt when he saw this woman walking down the street and he knew that she was his was awesome. Once he realized it was Nina, he had to adjust the way that he saw her before that night. Nina has been attracted to Reed for a long time but thought that she wouldn't have a chance with him. After Nina decides to roll the dice and see how Reed reacts, things between them escalate quickly. Their happy ever after made me smile. Zach's reaction to his dad and Nina's relationship was grounds for a happy dance! I recommend reading this book.

Her parents suck and always leave her alone but Reed has always sort of looked over her. Now that she’s older he started seeing her differently.. he starts following her around to look out for her but she wants their relationship to evolve to something more.
There was a tiny bit of Daddy kink in here but didn’t go too in depth since it was a shorter story. She called him Daddy a few times, he called her a good girl. She mentioned wanting to be taken care of but they didn’t really have time to delve into that.
It was cute.

This is a story of Reed and Nina. Nina was adopted and her parents really do not spend much time with her. Her neighbor and police officer Reed watched Nina grow up. He is older and Nina has a crush on Reed. At this point Reed also liked Nina but he is a little bit of a stalker and that has a creep factor. Reed is a daddy and Nina needs a daddy. So I guess even though he is bigger and older love is love. I liked the characters and the interaction with everyone. Good Story.

2.9⭐️ Aside from the terrible name and terrible cover, the book isn't that bad. Is a huge age-gap and the smut was a little cringe in some point but Nina isn't just a naïve character with air in her head and Reed don't take advantage. She have self-esteem issues and with all the Daddy kink thing she falls for Reed -her neighbor-, who makes sure she's really attracted for him and not just cause he's there.
Reed is kind, different from a lot of books with that kind of kink where the man is just poorly written, aggressive and really a pig.

I thought that this was a really great book. Nina and Reed were super cute. Reed and Nina were exactly what the other needed. I loved the connection and the chemistry between these two. There is a lot of longing, desirer, steam and a little bit of drama. I do hope that Daisy gets get own book soon. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for insta-love, OM/YW, DD/lg book.

I loved Nina and Reed together! I was sooooooo happy when I first started reading and realized that Reed was Kane's and Aubrey's Dad's friend from Ginger Daddy's Roommate. This book was soooo good and I loved Reed and Nina's love story! They were both so cute. Now I really want to read a story for Nina's new friend and a love story for Zach! Can't wait to read more of Jaye Diamond books!

It was an okay daddy kink quickie, but I was definitely in it for big daddy Reed. We don't get enough of the big daddy type of MMCs. Overall, I loved how both h and H were totally obsessed with each other but just didn't know how to confess and obviously can't because of society and all that.

Holy shit Batman! I think this was Jaye Diamond's best so far. Nina and Reed had some explosive chemistry. They were seriously hot and so cute together. Their relationship was unique and sweet. They were also both crazy stalker-ish. I loved them! I'm kinda sad that it's ended already. I wanted more of Nina and Reed.

The cover and title both intrigued me and semi-repulsed me so I gave it a go. Cute story, but I must admit I was expecting and desiring more steam. Reed was almost too upstanding for me... I wanted a dirtier cop! Nevertheless, if you're looking for a quick-read, age-gap romance, this is a sweet one.

They really hit the nail on the head with this one Huh? He was thick. He was a cop. They had a daddy kink. It was short and fine, not my favorite but not terrible. Definitely wanted more spice, there was only one real scene but it was okay.
