Childhood Studies has become a recognised area of research and analysis in recent years. Educationalists and social scientists increasingly point to the importance of childhood as a conceptual category and as a social status for the study of a previously overlooked or marginalised group - children. This book brings together key themes in the area of Childhood Studies that will provide an introduction to students and practitioners working in this field. Written by experts across a range of disciplines the chapters offer a broad-based and accessible insight into childhood. Collectively, the book contributes to an emergent paradigm in which new ways of looking at children and childhood can be researched and theorised.
What is with the writing style? These kinds of books are supposed to be understood whilst reading it however as with many others on my module have said; this novel is difficult to read! Too technical when it could have used easier language instead of making it very robotic and technical.
The information is quality in terms of the case studies and ideas it mentions however it felt like you are trying to mark a criteria in making sure it contains certain words all the time.
