A couple of very interesting plot twists in this volume, although it feels like everything has been completely rushed through the chapters. We are definitely reaching now the last part of the story...
This series is a lot of fun. It's sometimes a little hard to follow (particularly when some characters look very similar and have complex relationships) but I love the art and the world and the main characters are just so fun.
“Fear brings worship. And worship gives people cause.” Followed by an ass shot.
The volume doubles down on the conflicting companies and treat them more like they are political power houses. Berühren now has the ability to control multiple people due to their harmony and sub brain advances. Juzo’s old partner sells him out (puts a virus in him and then immediately causes a rampage) after Juzo stops Io. Io wanted to destroy what mommy dearest made and honestly- pretty lame reveal. He pretty much killed himself trying to overpower harmony.
The extermination department or whatever the hell shoots Juzo down and I guess just call it a job done and then we are shoved forward six months. Olivia steps down as chairman but is still important, she also steals a gun ordering hand unit thing.
Hugh Cunningham (The fat guy as they so affectionately call him) is in charge of caring for Rinko, whom after the six months just suddenly decides to try and sell her out. They both die in the process and our gang gets the sub-brain.
Juzo has been missing for like six months and it’s kind of revealed that he went back to where he betrayed his brothers. So half the volume is just like a time skip and then all his friends talking about how they can possibly find him.
