I loved this story and so did the Kindergarten class that I read it too. It is a funny and cute story. It is an easy read. The illustrations are great too!!
Funny book! Cute pictures and a really funny ending. In the book When Santa Lost His Ho! Ho! Ho!, everyone at the North Pole is getting ready for Christmas and Santa lost his Ho Ho Ho. So to cheer him up kids around the world send him funny letters to try to cheer them up and the elves do funny things in hopes of trying to cheer him up.

The idea behind this book, that Santa was having a bad time and was depressed, is a good one. The conclusion was insightful and great for children to learn. But somehow the actual writing didn't have the zip it should and the story feels forced and unedited. The illustrations are bright and cheerful and for some may rescue the weak writing.
Christmas is only a few days away, and rapidly approaching, but something is amiss at the North Pole. It seems as though Santa has lost his laugh, and without it, Christmas may not be as cheerful without the familiar HO! HO! HO! Extreme and drastic measures have been taken to locate it. The big question is will it be found in time?
Cute Christmas story about how Santa could not "Ho Ho Ho" Everyone tried to help by making him laugh, but it did not work. Only the letter from a little girl would make Santa Ho Ho Ho again.
My kid LOVES this book. She loved it last year too. She is in 1st grade this year. Both years, we checked out 20-25 Christmas/Hanukkah books from the library and this was one of her favorites both years. Now she can read it herself now and still insists on reading it to me daily. It's January! She thinks all the little side things to read are hilarious and she loves the rhyming that occurs sporadically.
