This is a book that was written for times such as these. For those Americans who were not lucky enough to learn Civics in school, this book is for you! Learn how our government was formed by the patriots who founded her. For those of us who sat through eighth grade Civics The Three C's that Made America Great: Christianity, Capitalism and the Constitution is a good reminder of why these things matter so much today.

Mike Huckabee's Three C's that made America Great (Chrisianity, Capitalism, and Constitution) was a good read. I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't just read America's Prophet. The book was divided into three sections. The section on Christianity was not as in-depth as America's Prophet, the section on capitalism was a good review and so was the section on the Constitution. I would highly recommend it to people that need to learn about the founding of our country and constituion and the importance of capitalism in a free society.

A must read for voters

An excellent review of our Constitution, Bill of Rights and Federalist papers. Become an educated voter before you go to vote.

Previous books this author wrote were when trying for higher political office. This one is more of a retrospective, passing on the wisdom of years. His thesis is that both parties in the United States have come detached from history (by implication the Greens and Libertarians are no better) and that the consensus in the United States will lead to chaos and dictatorship unless there is actual serious study of Christianity, Capitalism and the Constitution.

He argues his case well, even though I disagree with it. This book stands comparison to Preston Manning or Rab Butler, other conservatives who nearly made it and who changed how people think in their retirement books. I suspect his America would have ben a different place.

Pretty straight forward but well worth the read if you want a review on the Three C's. Their case for debunking the made-up belief of the separation of church and state is one of the best parts. Also, they review the amendments to the constitution which everyone should remind yourself of along with how it all came about in the first place. What was our founder's intention? Certainly not a big and out of control government run by a few misguided ideologues and educational elites. The war on conservatism, Christian values and our constitution is alive and well as they point out throughout the book. Plus, a judicial system that maybe was set up to fail from the beginning gives us a tremendous pause to the potentially loss of our freedom as individuals.

A very well-documented book written by two men we can trust (Mike Huckabee and Steve Feazel).

With lots of examples, they show us how we truly were established on Biblical principles, with quotes and Bible verses that are still found in original documents and carved on our historical monuments in Washington DC. The section on Capitalism is something every American needs to read before we lose our great nation. Ditto the section on our Constitution

If only I could give the book a 10!!!

8th grade I had a Civics class. Reading this through eyes of the things our country is going through was very enlightening. I questioned if I even learned anything at all those many years ago. Each of the C's make up America. At one time it may have seemed a bit biased toward the right. After recent censorship I continually face now, I recognize how very important this foundation is needed, and must remain if we will continue to enjoy our republic. An absolute must read, in a world desperately trying to erase our history.

Read this!
But, don't do an audible! Gerald Francis' voice and volume change, are very inconsistent, he used the word "billions" instead of "trillions" when reading about out nation's debt. If he could iron all that out, his tone is fine. But very disturbing to listen to Francis' narration - ugh!

A must read for every patriotic American. We are very close to losing this great country to the liberals. Should be required reading in all our schools for the history lesson that made this country great.

Mostly what I thought it would be. Historical pieces were interesting. Biggest complaint was that it completely lacked nuance. Either you’re conservative or want to destroy America. No in between. Didn’t feel healthy.

Constitution

Excellent Background work by the authors on the history of America & the constitution. Very unbiased towards those that believe differently but lays out the case for voting Republican. A worthwhile read.

Great book Huckabee is the first person besides me that I've seen promote the idea that the 14th Amendment protects babies born alive in botched abortion attempts. I highly commend him for that

Accurate, and well curated history of America, through the specific lenses of: our Faith, Economy, and founding documents. It doesn't have the usual humor that we have come to expect from Huckabee; however, that is not an issue here, as this book is dealing with some very serious topics - the status of which are no laughing matters. Well written by Mike and co-author Steve Faezel, this treatise on the state of our union is a must read. It may be small in stature (271 pages) but it will force you to think big, (and in ways you probably haven't for quite some time) about what, and Who, really did make America great, and what we need to do to keep it.
