"The Villian`s Savior" is a beautiful and epic manhua that are divided in two parts. In all stories it is usually the obsessed and twisted villains whose life always ends tragically by the hero`s hands. The heroine Han Jae reads the historical novel "Sentence of God" about the tragic villain Aseph whose alcoholic father beat him to a pulp everyday, and when one day his father beat his very pregnant mother ,the 5 year old Aseph desperately runs throughout the village and steals medicine for his mother. When he runs back home the house is burning, and his parents both end up dead by the flames.
The rest of his childhood until his early teenage years he ends up being a beggar until a rich lady decides to adopt him.Not because of pity or motherly affections, but because of her perverse pleasure in owning him.The illustrations shows clearly the way she tortured him every day and got turned on by it.Her sick treatment makes Aseph`s heart turn into ice.Life had given him nothing but pain and misery. So the 17 year old Aseph coldly kills his adoptive mother,so with her death he gets the title of a rich marquis and inherits all her assets. He becomes Aseph Randall. In his miserable existence the only soul he end up loving is Elissa Thyase, the daughter of his enemy, (who is the heroine in the historical novel) but she is fated to another man (who is then the hero in the novel) so Aseph is the villian who does everything to separate the lovers. He even kills massess with innocents. He ends up getting killed by the heroes sword in the novel...soul broken and lonely..and the reader Han Jae cries for his tortured soul and tragic death. In the magic of her tears, she either goes back in time or ends up in the novel (i was never sure by that since Han Jae wasn`t sure herself) and wakes up as Elissa`s twin sister Elzay Thyase. She realizes that she is sent to the story to change the fate of Aseph and stop him from turning into a blood thirsty and cold murderer.
My thoughts:
I absolutely LOVE and adore stories like this one, turn back in time to change the fate of a villain..only in this Elizay falls in love with Aseph..and he in turn falls madly in love with her!He is so beautifully illustrated when he is cold and angry-and damn how sexy i found him!!With his blond hair, pale skin and cold blue eyes...and that delicious body!!YUMM i wanted to eat him up.He was manipulative, evil and seductive..but also so dark and tormented for the way life suffocated him.The best thing is that Elizay know him and she has such a good and forgiving heart and strives to be by his side.Aseph in turn are so possessive that he fears she will leave him every second. He is so putty in her hands, when he is mean and cold (or manipulating) everyone else!Their moments together are so sweet, sexy and romantic and i ended up fanning myself the entire time! Now i am off to read the next part.
This series was another dark one with topics of physical and sexual abuse- as well as violence and death.
In this story we have our h, who somewhat becomes obsessed with a random book she picked up one day. This is mostly due to the tragedy she reads about the Villain-Aseph's- backstory and life. She get's so upset about the details that she begins to dream about him and worry about his written demise thinking "if I were there I would be the one to take care of Aseph"
This is where she gets her chance- by becoming a previously unknown character in the novel Zay-she is now the twin sister of the novel's h, and is at the start of the book before Aseph is lead down an even darker path than he was walking (I mean he is still kind of a villain)
With her own memories as well as Zay's-can she be strong enough to stand at this Villain's side even knowing what he is capable of? Love him for more than his pitiful past?
Additionally things get even more complicated when she discovers that she has a seal ( a mark that appears on a persons body that matches their supposed soul mate's) but that her set is no where to be found on Aseph body.
To be honest, I don’t know how I feel about this story. It’s a thinker with its complex plot made by the characters choices. I want the male lead to have a redeeming quality, and the only one is his love (down side is it’s obsessive so it’s only a small positive). Plenty of people have messed up backgrounds and turn out okay. It’s understandable he’s psycho, but that doesn’t mean it’s acceptable.
The biggest reason I’ve continued reading is because I like the female lead and the story of the fated matches. I want and fear to know who her true match is.
At first I related with her but now...... Not so much. Okay, so the main girl is from one world and then suddenly she wakes up in a world from a book.(Isekai alert!) The book is one she knows well and it just happens to be that her favorite character is the villain! Since she knows that her favorite character will commit serious crimes and then be killed off so she vows to save him! Interesting, right? Who doesn't want to go into their favorite book and save a character? (Ulquiorra! Itachi!)
Well basically once in the book she becomes useless. She just cries and instead of trying to save her fav character instead she tries to avoid him. It's one of those 'I'll stay away from you to prevent from hurting you but, oh wait, I can't actually stay away because I love you! ' type of deals. Annoying. The MC never considers that maybe who cares about the rules of the book and that she should just do what she wants. I mean she came from a different world for crying out loud! It has to mean something!
Regardless, of these issues I still find myself enjoying this story. Okay I'll come clean and say that I just love the main guy! For him I'll continue reading.
Estoy enamorada de este Manhwa 😱 me encta la historia y el protagonista, a pesar de todo yo solo quiero que sea feliz, no importa que 😢 estoy esperando la segunda parte.
A lot of people complain about the fact that the FML is a cry baby. But honestly put yourself in her shoes.
You're reading a book and You cry over how heart broken you are that a little boy goes through so much. I mean even seeing that broke my heart and made me tear up.
His father beats on him and his mother. His mother ends up dying and he gets beaten on even more because he looks like her.
Then his father ends up dying and his home is burn to the ground because someone came to kill his father. Now remember he is still a child and its freezing out and he's now an orphan on the streets.
People want him beacuse of how he looks. He finally gets "save" and thinks that the woman who "saves" him will care for him. At this point he still has a little light of hope left.
But turns out that the woman is a psychopath who tortures and whips him, while claiming she loves him and expressing her love and care.
But of course this does not happen in the light of day. No, but behind close doors in a cell, in her basement, where only the people ( servants ) in the house knows what is happening. But when they're both out he has to pretend that everything is perfect. And that she is such a great adoptive mother.
Now take all of what you read and how your crying for him, and then take into account that he doesn't get his happy ending after meeting someone that gives him hope.
And instead that other little light of hope he thinks he's gaining, gets snatch from him. He then turns into a dark monster, with markings and a evil look, which he gets killed in the end because of it.
Now after your heart is broken from his story. From the beginning of his despair and horrible childhood to adult hood. Some how you end up being transfer to that world and seeing him in person make you want to help him. But you know whats going to happen to him. And the torture he will eventually go through, you are still determind to make sure he avoids a horrible ending.
Now knowing this and a tad bit more, tell me your not gonna be an emotional mess at times.
And if that doesn't help this how about when he ends up falling for you, and shares the same feeling as you. This will make you extremely happy because you have feeling for him too. But you have a mark on ur body, and if he doesn't share the same mark, you all cannot be together becuz someone else has that same mark.
AND you basically was trying to save him. And change his fate. Just for fate to laugh at you and not give him the same mark as yours So now he's deff gonna have the same fate he had before when you read the book.
But regardless you're going to continue to fight for him to have happiness. And forsake the fact that you love him, but you want to try to get him with someone else. And add on to the fact that the mark is making you have intense pain, since you haven't met the person with same mark.
Now taking all that inconsiderating I want to continue to hear complaints of her crying. If you can't understand the pin of which she is going through and only want tk say that she is a cry baby. Then please drop book and mot continue on.
On another note,, this book is not for the faint heart. There is so much sadness and heart breakage. I literally feel for this couple. And though the FML does cry a lot its understanding when you understand what she's been going through.
I really enjoy this series and I love how far it's already gotten. Im already into season 2 and now have a Better understanding of why she is crying. And those who only wants to complain about her, will not understand. But I have to say is that you don't know what your missing out. Nor am I going to say what it is. Just know that things are not always what it seem and it just got a hell lot more interesting.
This type of manhwa is new for me and quite refreshing but I do agree with the others that the FL cried a lot almost too much. But I also understand where shes coming from and hope to see her character grow stronger when she decides to stop following the story and do what she wants.
Was this the epitome of ever webcomic? Yes. Did I totally eat it up in one night and sob over some of the scenes? Yes.
I am a literal sucker for these type of plots, and I truly adored the care the main character and Aseph's relationship. Aseph was such a well-built villain in terms of backstory, and the concern of him falling for her sister, and the MC's adoration and utter desire to protect the cinnamon roll was super endearing. 10/10 content if you ask me.
This story is rather surprising. At first it seems like all those other reincarnator tales but it ends up with so many twists that it really stands apart. It starts out a little messed up with the villain being a certified crazy person and a lot of violence shown but the way it all evolves begins to make all make more sense so don't let that slow you down.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this manhwa. It's one of the BEST manhwas that I ever read. I LOVE the H. It SO, SO HOT. I also LOVE the author for this masterpiece, thank you so much.
Lo leí en 1 día y fue lo mejor del perro mundo. El vato verdaderamente era un villano y me encantaba que era un sádico loco alv que fue capaz de cambiar por el poder del amor.
This is my third time reading this manhwa. I love it so much. It’s just peak romance for me.
Aseph and Zay have so much mutual dedication to their relationship. They are so unwaveringly in love.
I have so much affection for Zay. She is a very noble protagonist. Her pure motivation is always love. With his horrific backstory, Aseph is a little insane, but you still root for him. You end up loving him because Zay loves him so much.
Let me raise some points with you you all about this book. Let's start with the negatives:
NEGATIVES - I personally dislike when characters are reincarnated and all that crap. I don't really like it. Because we have manhwa like I Belong to House Castiello that just puts it in the story and mentions it once. I just don't like it and I PERSONALLY HATE IT WHEN MANHWAs DO THIS. - Main character crying a lot. It does get irritable somewhat and then we have the romantic trope of the dude giving the jacket EVERY SINGLE TIME to the main character.
POSITIVES - From the looks of the Second Season, there is more to the main character than just crying. We have some development there. - The drawing. OH THE DRAWING! It's absolutely marvellous. - Aseph as a character has shown significant development and the fact that he still have some deceptive tendencies is objectively, a good and realistic character. Hats off to you guys! - The bickering between Aseph and Elissa is a job well done. - Elzay's father is a good character. I admire how dedicated he is as a parent, it's a quality that I want someday. But we also know that he isn't perfect. - The webtoon, personally, did a good job in raising our curiosity towards Alcester as a character. - The relationships between the characters are very well thought out. Except, I did find Elzay and Aseph's relationship a bit rushed, her relationship with her sister and maid gave it some justice.
I rarely read manhwa, and am not a fan of isekai genre but this one was so addicting, finished the 1st season in 2 days, Aseph was the villain who deserved to be saved after all those cruel past he's been through. Now that she finally admited that she loved him and wanted to be with him though he wasn't her soulmate chosen by God, then what? Please I need 2nd season
