Another solid entry in Steve Perry’s Matador series. I have really enjoyed the series’ mix of compelling characters, science fiction, world building, action, adventure, romance, sex, underdogs taking on overwhelming odds, and fast pace, with a little philosophy thrown in, to boot. This was a fun return to bring the core group of characters back together for another challenge after several years apart, along with the introduction of an important new character to make things interesting. I definitely recommend this series to any science fiction fan.
One of the best in the book so far for me, I like how the author play the different POV without crashing into each other or losing the plot line. The charatcers interaction as always are fun and enjoable to watch and th eintroduction of Kahady daugther was a wonderful adittion, wondering how things will work with Bork eventually.
A plot to destroy the new Republic and wreak vengeance on her father brings Emile's daughter, the albino knife, into the picture. Her mother, Juete, has been kidnapped, and attacks are made on the new president, Sleel, Bork, Dirisha and Geneva.
I loved this one, great to see the old cast back together for more hijinks. Not the biggest fan of Juete, so I wasn't super invested in the story but I did enjoy Veate being introduced to the gang and the reunion smackdown.
