Better than the second, still not as good as the first

Kourtney is a badass lawyer. Loved her from the beginning~

Dwayne is a shy asshole. It was funny how he kept saying asshole things while thinking "why am I even saying this?"

The plot to romance to comedy ratio was much better than the second, but I still think the first was the best so far.

(The underlying plot of the 9th circle and the angels and other stuff is getting really complicated... I'm not sure how it's all getting solved on the next book.)

Audible - 4.5⭐️ 2🌶️🌶️ I have a confession to make… I have finished this short series of novellas. I laughed so hard reading this group of books. I loved that the story is plot based with a couple of very spicy scenes that moved the story along.

When read all at once, this is a freaking hilarious book. Troy Duran does a fantastic job with this series. 5+⭐️

After spending four credits on all 4 of the novellas in the series, I discovered that I could have purchased it with one credit. The title you are looking for is, “Grim Dating Service: the complete series”.

It was a fairly quick read. I liked it better than book 2 but felt the first book was still the best. It felt really rushed at the end. I was on the last chapter and hit the epilogue and actually thought I'd mistakenly skipped a chapter.

I also liked the characters but felt like Dwayne was basically Derrick from Book 2, without as much good dialogue and personality. I don't know, maybe Dwayne needed a little more depth somewhere. I did like that he was honest about what he was from the start.

I got a bit confused, too, about Lakely and the "woman" in the silver cloak. I don't think they're the same person. If not, then a huge drop of who/what the woman is and why she's doing what she's doing. None of this is even touched upon in Book 4 so it's a very annoying cliffhanger.

Even though the angels so far we've seen have been assholes, I thought it'd be interesting to have an angel get a match somewhere. I kind of wish Michael could have had a match (he didn't seem so bad in Book 2 from what I recall) but I guess we'll see how this other angel does (kind of makes more sense to have a girl angel we haven't met who isn't a jerk hopefully).

Kourtney is a mortal that knows nothing about the supernatural world. All she knows is that she needs a paying job and that her ‘interview’ process is making sure Dwayne, who is a reaper, is not convicted. Dwayne was assigned to find a missing vampire that his dark lord the one and only Lucifer requested. Unfortunately for Dwayne his mission is not as easy as he thought it would be.

Meanwhile Lucifer is trying to figure out what is going on with his wife Gaia aka Mother Earth. She has not been feeling so well and as a caring husband he was wants to make sure that she is okay so that he can have grownup time.

This entire story was short and fun but also plays a major rule in setting up what is going to happen next within this world. There is a new big bad out there and we do not know who or what it is. All we know is that they are taking souls from Lucifer, and he is not happy about it.

Contempt of Kourtney

This latest book in this series is centered on Kourtney who is a human lawyer and Dwayne who is a reaper and is arrested for murder. Although he can't remember what happened the night before he is positive he did not kill anyone. Now Kourtney is hired by the Grim Dating Agency to defend Dwayne and things go from bad to worse and back to bad again. What transpires between them is something she never expected or even dreamed of. I love this author's books and she never disappoints her readers. Every book is top notch and so well written.

Loved this book! There's the fun love story, but so much world stuff going on that I can't wait to read the next book. The book had such a great mystery plot going on: amnesia, drugging, issues with cloak/magic, weird person at the bar, a missing girl, a missing vampire....

And then there's all the stuff going on with Lucifer's family (who, btw, is so freakin cute with those babies)! What's going on with Gaia and Bambi, and losing the ninth right? I need moooooreee!!!

These two were perfect for each other, in that, they didn’t want a relationship, didn’t need a relationship, and rubbed each other the wrong way, until they didn’t! As an added bonus, Lucifer is around a bit more than usual, but he really isn’t much help until nearly at the end. A lawyer and a reaper, the stodginess and uptightness is exactly how you’d imagine, and all sorts of wonderful 😉

Great read

Loved this book!! These two were a perfect for each other, both were in denial about not wanting a relationship, didn't need a relationship, and they both work on each other nerves. In all honesty it felt like some kind of foreplay to me. You can help but feel the sexual tension between both of them. Overall a great story can't wait for the next book in this series.

I really liked this book. I like how strong and capable Kourtney is. She’s no nonsense but yet, she warms up to Dwayne. I like how he kept telling her how he feels about her without meaning to. He seems like such a strong badass guy but he’s soft on the inside. They make a cute couple and I like their banter. I recommend this book.

Probably my favourite so far.
Only because the heroine wasn’t killed by an angel this time, and once again we had a bad angel.
Entertaining read with likeable characters and I enjoyed the plot off this one, though once again I was more interested in Lucifer and Gaia’s going ons.
Wonder what happens to Lakely?

Another reaper falls

Funny magical story with a mystery. Someone has framed Dwayne, a reaper for Grim Dating. Kourtney, a human lawyer is hired to prove his innocence. No cliffhanger and hea. Great quick reads. Great series.
