This was my textbook for German I and II at Indian River State College. I had the 6th Edition, which features largely needless changes from the 5th Edition that most of my classmates had. It was okay as a textbook, but would be pretty much worthless outside a classroom setting due to insufficient explanation within the book itself. The order in which material is presented also seems rather odd. For example, telling time is not until Chapter 4 despite being both important and very simple!
schooltime again...time to see how much german i remember from my two semesters i took 9 years ago...i am going all the way this time****** i'm done! german is over! i will continue to work on it with rosetta stone, as i have time. yay!!!
What good is a language learning resource if it makes constant reference to "the teacher's pronunciation"? No pronunciation guides have been included whatsoever.
A textbook is a waste of time if it doesn't, in fact, contain any information in it.
