Jasmine is fulfilling her dream of transforming a run down bed and breakfast business. She was thrilled when the owner agreed to sell it to her and she works crazy hours now busy painting walls, transforming it into what she envisioned. She is a single mum to a beautiful girl Zoey who keeps her on her toes when she isn’t busy running the B&B.

Jasmine is not alone in her quest though, she has an amazing circle of friends and protective big brothers who are always willing to jump in and help her out. Zoey’s father is not in the picture, the pregnancy was the outcome of a one night stand where no names or details were exchanged. A time in Jasmine’s life when she enjoyed being a bit carefree and reckless. She wouldn’t change a thing though, she adores being a mumma.

Atlas Remington comes from a very wealthy real estate focused family business. His brother failed to procure Jasmine’s B&B from the previous owner and in an effort to win a promotion to CEO of the family business, Atlas has set out to convince the new owner to sell it to him. However, once he meets Jasmine he is immediately distracted by this beautiful and fiercely independent woman who has no interest in selling her hard earned business.

It doesn’t take long for Atlas to get pulled into the daily goings on at the Lighthouse Inn. He is completely enamoured by Jasmine and adores Zoey. His two weeks at the Inn takes a different path than what he had planned.

When Atlas arrives at the Inn Jasmine is completely stunned to see him again, she knows this guy, not only knows him but shares a child with him. Now she just needs to figure out how to tell him...

A secret baby and simmering love story are the main bones of this tale but there is also a really surprising twist that will affect everyone. Having said that it is quite low angst and a really enjoyable read. This is the 4th story in this series but I haven’t read any previous ones so this can be a stand alone read.

Jasmine's a single mom trying to make her b&b a success. The father of her daughter is not in the picture, he's a nameless one night stand whom she's never seen since that night. Then a familiar face shows up at her inn - will Jasmine ever reveal her secret to him?

This story definitely did not go the way I expected, and that's a very good thing. There are twists and turns, suspense, lots of pain, serious chemistry, more than 1 tear shed along the way. I loved Atlas, Zoey and Jasmine's story. Her overprotective brothers (hurray for overprotective brothers!), the entire town are such a wonderful secondary cast, a strong support for Jasmine and Zoey. I love the way Atlas meshed himself into their lives, and the way he became so important to them. And most of all, I loved Jasmine, how strong she was, and what a big heart she had. This is an A+ story, I cannot wait for more of the Shattered Cove world.

After Jasmine shared one steamy encounter with a sexy stranger, she found herself a single mother. Although nervous about what the future held with the help of her family and friends, she has created a good life for her and her daughter and is excited about her new business venture.

Atlas comes from an affluent family and has always felt like to didn’t measure up to their exacting standards. He is determined to secure the business that Jasmine recently purchased but things are about to become complicated when he finally realizes that not only is she the woman he spent one night with but he also shares a daughter with her that he didn’t know he had.

This is a heartwarming story about realizing who and what is truly important in your life with a few shocks you don’t see coming along the way.

Back to Shattered Cove and back to angsty stories, this book was a banquet of feelings. Two characters, both dealing with strong feelings, both carrying baggage and both needing to overcome odds against their favor. They find each other, and find something they need in the other, but there are issues, there are obstacles and there are questions to answer. It was intriguing and I was pushing Jasmine to tell him already!

Jasmine never wanted to reveal who was the father of her baby because she didn’t have a name. It was a random sex act in the bathroom of a sleazy bar, another in a long line of random sex acts in the life of a girl who had no self esteem and was in a downward spiral of self-destruction. When she got accidentally pregnant after one of those random acts, she took a long, hard look at her life, and decided to turn it around.

Jasmine is now the owner of The Lighthouse Inn, a bed and breakfast she worked hard to rehabilitate, make a living out of, and give her daughter Zoey a good life. She is surrounded by the love of her family: brothers, sisters in law, nephews and nieces and great friends. Even with all this richness, she still struggles with her sense of worth.

Enter Atlas Remington, and bam! Now she knows the identity of her child’s father. Except she knows nothing about who he is, what kind of person he is. She can’t reveal this secret to this man!

Atlas Remington has always felt like second place in his family. His brother Oliver is the golden child, the accomplished one who is always one step ahead, who has married according to their parents wishes and is about to become a father. Determined to one-up his brother and obtain this prime real estate local, he arrives at the Lighthouse Inn, determined to make an offer the owner can’t resist. But what happened was that he couldn't resist the charms of the owner and her beautiful daughter!

We already know about the traumatic childhood that Jasmine and her brother Bentley and Mikel suffered. So, I knew what Jasmine was going through and how she felt less than and not worthy of a man like Atlas. This part of the story saddened me but I was already through the shock of discovery. In this book, I was reacting to Atlas situation. Born in wealth, in a high society family and the Remington empire, there were high expectations placed in Atlas. He was expected to take a place in their company, alongside his brother. And yet, he wasn’t happy. That life didn’t make him happy and even less, the fact that he was always second place to his brother. This part was a little tiring. For a thirty-five year old man, the constant whining about being second place and the constant push to one up his brother got old after a while. Instead of taking his life in his hands and going his own route, he kept harping on the differences in treatment between his brother and him. Thankfully, he was a decent guy and I had hopes he would ‘man up’!

The HEA in this book took some work after a few doozies of plot twists and some ‘come to Jesus’ talks between Jasmine and her brothers. As with previous books, I love the small town feeling, the love of family and friends, and the strong backbone of a woman who feels she’s inferior but instead is a fierce warrior who is giving her little girl the best life there is, with the richness of love and a happy childhood.

Jasmine runs a bed and breakfast business. She works round the clock to make it a success for her and for her little girl Zoey. Being a si gle mother is not easy but she wlll do anything for her little girl. But she has an amazing support system and some overprotective brothers. Zoeys father was a one night stand and his not in the picture. So she doesnt know his name or anything about him. Until one day he jus sows up at her bnb.

Atlas Remington comes from a wealthy background I real estate. His brother failed to procure the bnb from the previous owners and now Atlas is taking his chance and wants to win a promotion to be CEO of his families business. But once he meets Jasmine things get a bit complicated not just for him but also for Jasmine as she has a secret that could be the start of something amazing or it could be the end of her life with her little girl 😔

I love books with single parents and how they will do everything for their kids but they also deserve happiness and love. This books was filled with family, love, romance and a life bit of suspense added in. I loved that Jasmine was independent and strong and she had a great life with her friends and family. Atlas was a good addition to her life and Zoeys. They definitely deserved their happily ever after. If you love small town, single parent romances then this is definitely a story to read 💖😊

This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is Jasmine and Atlas’ story. Jasmine has had a tough life, and she is a single mom to a little girl who is the result of a 1-night stand, and she is following her dream to turn her B & B into a successful business, and she has no shortage of eager friends and overprotective big brothers to help her. Atlas is determined to become CEO over his successful brother, and heads to the Inn with the intention of purchasing it from Jasmine, as this is something his brother could not achieve. No spoilers: this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written tale which is raw, gritty, and emotional roller coaster, as well as having secrets, suspense, and twists, which all lead to a riveting and all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented duo whose work I recommend for all.

This was a BookTok recommendation and I just loved it!!
But let me say this: THERE SHOULD BE A WARNING!
There’s some heaving stuff mentioned related to r*pe and shit.
But the storyline was FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!
I didn’t read any of Jasmine’s brother’s books, but I didn’t feel like a needed to. This is a interconnected series but a stand-alone.
Now, let me tell you, THAT PLOT TWIST… I didn’t see coming!!
It was amazing how you got so into the characters and the story, that when something as huge as that happens, you are shooketh to the core.
Btw, DAMN ATLAS FOR RUINING ME!

Let me start this by saying that I waited for this book on edge, dying to hear Jasmine's story- and I was not disappointed!

Atlas and Jasmine had me on the edge of my seat with their secrets, their heartfelt feelings for each other, and the way that everything unfolded.

Nobody will ever replace Andre as my book boyfriend, but Atlas came very close- and cemented, yet again, that I will read and love everything A.M. Kusi has to say!

I just recently discovered this new writer and I was by far impressed with the previous book in the series. So when I got the chance to read this one, I immediately jumped on the chance. This 6 star page turner consumed me from the first page to the last and I still wanted more.

Jasmine is a single mother whose trying to stay a float with an inn she’s trying to make a success. Her daughter was the product from a meaningless hook up that actually saved her. Having been through a very difficult childhood, she was lost. Atlas will be staying at the inn under falsehood. He wants something from her but can he go through with it? They are both in for things they never expected.

I devoured this story. To me it was an amazing love story. I love stories with children in them, they sweetened up the storyline. But it was above all an united family. Jasmine has a great family that will do anything for her and her daughter. They even took in the stranger staying at the inn, Atlas who happens to fall in love with both of them.

This author has a way to tell a story and make me feel so much. These are flawed and feel kind of real people. I was able to escape, even if it’s for a few hours, the every day life of a nurse. If I can get into the mind set of these characters, to me it’s a win. It was a whirlwind of emotions.

This story is addicting and captivating. Once I started , I couldn’t put it down for very long. The storyline is full of twists and turns, even till the end. Bottomline this is the year 2020 must read.

Even if it’s part of a series, rest assured it can be read as a standalone, I read book 3 and went and bought 1 and 2. Told in the third person with an amazing HEA. I strongly recommend this story and the entire series.

3.75/5 - i don't usually like romance books but this was actually good! i don't have the motivation to read the rest of the series because romance books like this are not for me, but i'm sure a fan of the genre would say the rest of the series is good too!

Just WOW!

This book came to me as a Bookpub suggestion, the blurb sounded interesting so I got the book. Unfortunately I had never heard of this author(s) or any of their novels.

I was blown away with this book, the honesty of the main female character or heroine (normally don’t think they are heroines but this time definitely!) of all the abuse she suffered. As well as the genuine feelings and faults and strength of all the characters was overwhelming real.

I enjoyed this book so much I read it in one go. It kept paced throughout the story, did not drag in the middle or rush the ending and the authors made clear it was an HEA but an HEA in reality where you try your best but mistakes are made equaling real life!

So this book does the plot twist troupe I HATE on my favorite chick lit troupe (the secret/one-night stand baby.)

Now I do like the heroine. She was not some sweet virginal flower. She has trauma and she is learning how to cope. Most of her decisions are logical and realistic, and she doesn't make any overdramatic assumptions that are filled in this genre/ troupe. She is a really well-developed character, along with the hero. Even though they fall in love quickly, it's still not the eye-roll inducing "love at first sight." I loved his insecurities and personal struggles over his family dynamic. The two of them were really well developed and fleshed out. However, the heroine does one of my pet peeves for the troupe.

While the protagonists were great, the antagonists were all so one-dimensional and boring. Zero character development.

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I have been waiting on pins and needles for Jasmine's novel since we were first introduced to her and this book did not disappoint! I absolutely loved it and see her finally open up about what she went through was heartbreaking but inspiring and freeing as well.

Atlas is just amazing in and out and I love how slow things progressed with Jasmine, Atlas and Zoey. Both characters were really struggling with inner demons, but to see them come out the other end for the better was just great.

I did think that they both kept their own secrets WAY too long. I kept waiting for it to happen, but each chapter went by and nothing. That was a little frustrating, but I get why they were hesitant to go into details.

Also... that UNEXPECTANT twist?!?!?! I seriously didn't see it coming, and I usually always get a sense for that! I was stunned and my jaw dropped instantly when it was revealed and I was very impressed, authors. Very very impressed that you were able to catch me off guard like that.

I'm so glad that we finally get Jasmine's story and I CANNOT wait until book 5 after that little teaser at the end of the book!!

Jasmine is the proud being the owner of Lighthouse Inn and how far she has come from her past but like any other human she questions her decisions and if they were the right ones at the time. Jasmine has many regrets from a past that she would love to forget but she can’t and now she has to make decisions for what is best for her daughter. Then Atlas enters her life and the inn she is shocked by seeing him again and doesn’t know how to handle things. Atlas is out to prove himself to his family and get the job he thinks he deserves along with the respect from his family, but at what cost? Both have secrets that neither one want to divulge but when attraction becomes too much how much longer can they hold on to their secrets? And will these secrets destroy much more than they ever thought it would? Both characters hurt for different reasons and that twist towards the end I really did not see that coming. This is the first book I have read by the authors and I really enjoyed the ups and downs and the realistic issues that each character went through. When you get emotional reading about characters it really speaks to how well a book is written and how much emotion authors poor into their stories and this one really hit that.

Jasmine hasn't had the easiest time in life, but she does have a fantastic circle of friends, and amazing brothers supporting her. She's working hard at her B&B to make it successful, and is a single mother from a nameless one night stand. Atlas has an older brother who always comes out on top so when his brother couldn't land Jasmine's B&B, Atlas is determined to acquire it to become CEO over his brother. He shows up & Jasmine recognizes him as the nameless one night stand so you already know this isn't going to go so well when she gets the courage up to let him know the secret she has. This story was such a beautiful story of fate in my opinion, but since it has people with flaws, it's not necessarily a calm journey as these two start catching feelings because secrets don't make friends & they both have them. And that's all that I'll say about that because of the twists that pop up as the chaser to all of the angst plus I don't do spoilers. I'm telling you that you won't be sorry after you one click this impossible to put down story that I couldn't get enough of! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

The Lighthouse Inn is the latest book in the Shattered Cove series and focuses on single mom Jasmine and aspiring CEO Atlas. Atlas comes from a wealthy family, and to prove to his parents that he is just as worthy as his twin brother, he wants to buy the land the inn sits on for their family company. However, Atlas did not expect to be charmed by the inn or Jasmine and her daughter Zoey.

Both Jasmine and Atlas have personal, deep rooted issues that makes it difficult for them to trust other people and to have faith in their own feelings and growth. There is some sort of parallel between the two characters, as they both have issues with their parents, some resentment against their siblings, and a desire to do a job they love despite family obligations or financial difficulties. Both Jasmine and Atlas are keeping huge secrets from each other, and the issue of whether they can make a relationship work is the root of the angst and internal conflicts in both of them. There is character growth in each of our main characters, and this story is as much about them finding themselves and being at peace with their past as it is about finding love with each other.

Bring the tissue! This one is emotional like all the other books in this series. It is a stand-alone but I would recommend reading all the other books in the series. Another great read from these authors!
Trigger warnings for abuse.
This Jasmine's story. We finally learn who Zoey's father is.
Atlas Remington arrives to stay at the struggling Inn to convince the owner to sell. When Jasmine goes out to greet her new guest she's startled by the face she sees and knows she must hold onto her secret a little longer while she figures out if he is worthy of being in his daughter's life.

Altas is on a mission to prove to his family that he can take over the family business over his brother who failed to acquire the inn. The attractive owner has him approaching his plans a little more carefully. And now he finds himself falling for her.

The more time Jasmine and Zoey spend with him, the more she knows she has to tell him her secret.

Thanks so much to Wildfire Marketing Solutions and the authors for this ARC to review.

This is an emotional story. It tells of darkness and pain. a story of both heartbreak. As usual the authors keep telling real truths that people deal with daily. It is not a totally dark book because With the pain also come hope and life. Both characters are broken in their own way dealing with difficult situations. When secrets and pain is revealed they realize their own strengths.
Amazing characters make the story interesting and keep you rooting for their HEA.
Jasmine is a single mother running a bed and breakfast. Her daughter is what keeps her struggling to make ends meet. The result of a one night stand in a time when she was hurting, her daughter is the light that guides her. With the help of her family and friends she manages her best.
Atlas is the the real estate mogul trying to impress his family. He feels like he is the lesser brother, son. His dreams are put on hold. He gets caught up in the lives of Jasmine and her daughter. A good read with characters you will love.

I was so excited to finally read Jasmine's story. At the end of A Fallen Star you learn that Jasmine's life has hit an unexpected hurdle. Throughout books 2 and 3 you continue to see minor hints at what her past looked like and how it's shaped her future.

As with each book in this series the main characters both have troubling insecurities that they must face. Atlas living in his brother's shadow and Jasmine accepting her childhood abuse both shaped them into who they became as adults. While they both tried to navigate around these troubling truths they formed an unbreakable bond even they didn't see forming. The relationship grew in only 2 short weeks but seemed like it was destined from the beginning.

I truly loved Atlas' relationship with Zoey. She is the most adorable little girl who just brought so much extra sparkle to the story. I understood Jasmine's need to protect her at all cost. Jasmine showed the true strength of being a single parent. She worked towards a better life for Zoey no matter what she had to do.

As always the characters from books 1-3 made many appearances and I just love seeing how their stories continued. This is by far a favorite series of mine. If you love stories with depth and real life experiences this series is for you.

C for effort but probably a bit generous…more like ⭐️⭐️ 1/2 stars

A first time reader of the author and the writing was very simple and somewhat repetitive especially for the main female character, Jasmine and her inner dialogue. Atlas insecurities with his parents and especially his brother was sophomoric and not believable considering his age of 35. There was no depth from the characters or storyline just a very serious issue that was written on a surface level and it did not read like the authors had any real knowledge (personally or through thorough research) the devastating impact of sexual abuse. I unfortunately know firsthand and this book did not adequately cover how it affects the victims of this crime. It felt more like a justification or reason for Jasmine’s past actions or behavior which is valid but the emotional and mental impact was lacking hence the writing appeared very basic and inept.

This book was gut wrenching, heartfelt, and sexy as hell. Jasmine is a tormented, overworked single mother and she does a damn good job raising her child in the best possible way. Atlas is a second choice, playboy out for mommy and daddy’s approval. I loved their need for one another, I loved how Atlas took to Zoey, thinking of her as his when that was far from the truth. That twist was amazing! I gasped so hard and before it was confirmed the lightbulb in my head burst with realization! I love how in the end the family accepted Atlas and how they grew to care for him. I was so happy for Jasmine, I loved how she became empowered in the healthiest way and how she was able to talk to her brothers about the past and to be able to finally speak up and tell bare her soul to those she loved most.

I am LOVING this series! Each one of the stories in the series has been amazing, and Jasmine and Atlas' story is another great addition. What I really love is the fact that the series talks about real life issues and the authors just did a very great job of writing it into beautiful stories.

I loved everything about this book, the characters and how their relationship grows. I especially loved everything about Zoey, she's such sweet soul. I loved that she and Atlas' build an even stronger relationship. It's so sweet to see them together. Cue all the swoons!

Highly highly recommending this!

I haven’t read this author before but I sure will now..this story was so easy to read in the way that it captured and held my attention.
Jasmine is an amazing woman, such strength, a journey of self redemption of sort and hope for the future for her beautiful daughter, Zoey.
Atlas is the complete opposite of Jasmine, because while she struggles financially he comes from a very rich family.
Atlas is Zoey's dad, a one night stand he doesn’t know he had and a child he definitely doesn't know about.
These two have quite a story to tell and it was soo good.

From her appearances in the other stories, I knew I would find Jasmine’s life interesting. My heart just naturally reaches out and roots for the underdog and those who have had a hard upbringing. I was glad to enjoy her journey to finding herself and forgiving herself. I am still on the fence about Atlas but I do admire him stepping up and taking responsibility. I am still reeling on how Atlas’ parents and sibling behaved. I was very disappointed that that could not be reconciled. At any rate, I was a good read.

Underwhelming. My thing with this book was that the entire thing was predicated on miscommunication or non communication. So for me I couldn’t enjoy any cut or smutty scene knowing that. Like I was sitting there going okay so when u gonna tell her or when u gonna tell him. There also was not a balance amount of depth for the characters like jasmine got so much plot and character and history and atlas got a little ig. I thought that the kid was cute and there was a few surprising twists which was nice. In the end though a forgettable and unenjoysble read.
