2 - 3 stars. Had great moments and had some so so moments.
Book 1 - is about Devan & Kent. It starts a little confusing as to who is saying what, but smooths out. Okay ending. Too short.
Book 2 is about Jill & Doc. Short, about 160 pages. It gives background about how Jill became a vampire, & mixes it with what's going on in the present. It's well noted at the beginning of the chapter if it's the past. It also explains about Lucas. While getting Jill's past, you get her & Devan meeting Devan's dad.
Short story 1 - is very short & about Langston & Kris. It starts out with Gerry but then that's dropped & the story focuses on Langston. Advances the overall story slightly & gives a touch of background on Langston. Basically it introduces Kris to the group.
Book 3 - Starts with a recap of part of book 1, then tells the hotel incident again, but from Gerry & Nicky's point of view. Basically about 75 pages of retelling, then about 100 pages of new story. I liked Gerry & Nicky's point of view. It expanded the hotel incident from Book 1 but would probably have been better combined into book 1. The book 1 hotel incident was a little choppy. The book just ends, but there is plenty that happens.
Short story 2 - is about Viktor & sort of Nicky. It's about Viktor but the becomes about Nicky & Gerry having their twins. It sort of fits into the series, doesn't advanced the overall story, just tells a touch of Nicky's background.

The 3 full books were too short, should have combined into 1 or 2 books, or expanded to be full books. Would have liked more of a tie up to the case/the Org issues.

Wow

This group of stories started out fantastic! I liked the story line as well as the characters. However maybe 2/3rds through it started jumping back and forth between the current and former story of the current characters. It was a little too much for me. I took breaks from reading here and there. I still can say I loved these books.

I liked it! I had a little problem telling who was who at the end but it was still a good book.

Action. And Romance

Dizzying action and plenty of romance in each tale. Only the final volume seems incomplete, rather like an introduction, instead of the whole story

Magical beings

I was not prepared for the total engagement I had in these delightful characters. Romances between opposites and lots of lovemaking.

I very much so enjoyed reading this trilogy. It contained all of the right elements romance, mystery, intrigue, and a whole lot of butt kicking fun! The first book in the series is Witch Way Bends I would have to say my favorite out of the three I connected with the character Devon and from there the rest is history. When Devon finally discovers the truth about herself and what she can do there is no stopping her from there. She is not a force I what to go up against. As Devon's path changes and she meets Kent everything for her becomes clearer and her destiny is known but, are the ones she loves the most? Jill her best friend suddenly enters but, something has changed about her can she be trusted or is she part of taking away all of Devon's world? Will fates slight of hand take away everything Devon loves the most? I can't say as it's not my story to tell. You will have to find out for yourself.
Book 2 Bitten Shame This part of the trilogy takes us back a little and shines the spot light on Jill Prescott and where her life path took her after she and Devon lost track of one another. Jill is your average collage hottie except she doesn't have daddy's money paving her way she has to struggle and earn her way through on her own.Jill soon discovers that maybe some of her choices are not leading her on the right path. She however, takes the hand dealt to her and does her best to prove to herself she is doing the right thing. That is until Doc Massey enters her life. Jill's life changes forever in that one moment Doc changes Jill and she become a vampire. Doc struggles to keep Jill from falling into the dark world he is a part of what Doc doesn't know is that Jill would follow him anywhere. This story had so many facets to it that there was know way I could have put the book down if I had wanted to. I at this point am so vested in this story I am on the edge of my seat wanting to know how this will all play out for every one that I can't stand it.
The story then shifts a little bit to Tell a Soul. In this part we are told a bit about Langston and how he is an essential key to this entire trilogy. Tell a Soul is more of a novella just giving us a peak into this giant man's life. He meet up again with the one woman who holds his heart Kristina. Will she let him help her and let his gentle spirit become hers once more? Langston would move mountains for Kristina if only she would ask. Kristina though isn't quite the same as Langston remember her as he watches her struggle with the demons in her mind literally. I sat reading this part of the story wanting the big guy to finally get his chance at true love the problem is Kristina isn't sure he can help her and isn't sure if her heart can be opened to let true love in. Talk about a cheer session for the underdog here this maybe a shorter story but it lacks for nothing there is not one detail that leaves you hanging it may however, leave you breathless.
Book 3 Shifty Business
A most fitting title I think. Yet doesn't really give you insight until you meet Gerry Hinton. Gerry has a few secrets of her own that could destroy her as they attack her mind. Gerry we learn is a shape shifter who get's handed a one way pass to hell and was not prepared for the torment it would cause. Nicky a partner in the "Company" is the only one who could possibly end the rain of hell that is attacking Gerry inside her head but, is she ready for her secrets to be told and at what price must she pay for letting Nicky in. Will she loose everything including herself? At this point of this trilogy I am totally amazed at the strength and adversity that this trilogy has shown me. Sometimes we aren't sure what the cards have in store for us and we have to just roll with the punches and hope it all comes out as it should in the end.
By Blood and Benevolence
This new book and added bonus to the trilogy has us introduced to Viktor. Viktor had it all a family and a wife who adored him even though he is a vampire. Still he was living the life thinking nothing could be better and nothing could take it away or could it? Viktor's world get's shattered and torn to pieces in the stroke of one evening it all changes. His world is not so safe and comfortable anymore. Just when Viktor thinks things can't get worse he is visited by a dhampir that puts a new spin on the once precious life Viktor held so dear. Secrets revealed and a past that he thought was gone will leave Viktor wondering about his own reality. I said it before and I will say it again I loved every bit of these books. I sat reading these with my head spinning wondering what was waiting around the next page. I may taake this set a books for another spin just to pick up anything I might have left out the first time around. This trilogy was most certainly my cup of tea and I hope you will make it yours as well!

Witch Way Bends
Devan has it in her head to stop her father’s child trafficking. So she joins Kent Crosby and his team. Although Devan knows nothing about the paranormal she is going to be jumping head long into that life very quickly. Kent’s team all have various abilities and Devan herself is a rare combination of paranormal. And her father’s trafficking? He is actually selling witch children to vampires that more powerful from the blood. But when she learns of her past, others learn about her too and now she is a major target.

I really liked this world, there were a lot of paranormal people/creatures. I liked the idea of the story and the twist of Devan’s heritage. But, this is a first in a series and I find it is a little rough. We start the story in the middle of a conversation and doesn’t really explain what you came into. The ending was a lot like that too. In understand cliff hangers but this was a bit excessive.

This is a rough start to the series although I think that it could be a good series. I’m curious to see what happened in the next book.

Bitten Shame

This story is about Jill Prescott, her past, and how she helps Devan with her powers. Jill was Devan’s best friend in college but a misunderstanding came between the two of them. Jill goes on to talk about how she meet Doc, their love, and her being turned into a vampire. The story bounces back and forth between what happened with Jill and Doc and how Jill is helping out Devan. Jill was asked to be a companion for Doc for a week. Although bored and him trying to avoid her, they eventually make a connection. When she lost Doc she lost her will to live. In the present she is helping Devan get to the Fairy Realm to meet Devan’s father. It is time for some serious training. But what will Jill do after she has her revenge?

I liked this a lot more than the first book. The story seems to be put together better. I loved Jill’s story with Doc. It was so sweet and I felt for her when she lost him. I did like how she was reconnecting and helping Devan. Throw in the fight against the Org and a traitor, this series is starting to get really good. I can’t wait to see what happened next.

Shifty Business

So we have seen Devan and Kent then Jill and Doc. It is now time to learn about Nicky and Gerry. They have a big secret from everyone and even ones from themselves. But then a rescue goes wrong and Gerry ends up in a coma from fighter in twin sister. Nicky has to try to find a safe place for them and to hide the box. But when he can’t wake Gerry he has to ask a voodoo woman for help. But then the secrets start coming out and the secret marriage is starting to be strained. Will Gerry figure out her past in time to save everyone? Will they still have a marriage when this is done? What happens when the have to take on both the Org and The Company.

I liked Gerry and Nicky and was completely surprised about their secret marriage. But when you start keeping secrets for people that can find a way to bit you in the end. There is a break neck pace and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. I love how the story ends and although this is the end of the trilogy it sounds like Olivia Hardin is planning on future books. Yeah!!

Over all I liked this series. It had a rough start but got better with each of the next books. It’s a wonderful world and I do hope that I see more of it in the future.

First of all, this box set is an absolute bargain. Not only do you get three full-length novels but you also get two novellas as well.

The plot is well written and well paced. The characters all have depth and oomph to them, and more than one has a hint of mystery to them. The story has one main theme which runs through all five books but then each book has it's own, more detailed story. There is enough going on that is a series that could go on for a few more books at least. I'm really hoping it does! +Olivia Hardin has written some more in the "For Love of Fae" trilogy which will have at least some characters that we have already met.

If you want Paranormal Romance with some action and mystery, with powers to 'bend' your mind at an incredible value for money price, then check out the Bend-Bite-Shift Box Set.

I loved reading the Bend Bite Shift Trilogy. Olivia Hardin is an amazing writer. Each story gave us a new insight on the characters as the continued their journey. Each one gave us a peak at different characters, their thoughts and the paranormal life they were learning to live. Some with secrets, some not knowing who they truly are and others finding love when they least expect it. If I had a complaint about this trilogy it would be that I wish the author would have continued the story from the first set of main characters and then maybe did spin offs with the others.

A truly entertaining series

After reading all 6 books in her series, I am giving them a 5...because the stories were engrossing, entertaining, romantic, and sensual without really graphic sex scenes or filled with vulgar language...a hard thing to find in paranormal books these days. And I really like the interweaving of the Fae with magic...
