2 stars.

Not for me. A lot of “caretaking/coloring/bows” type DDLG, which I don’t particularly like. Not nearly as much sex as I wanted, and what there was didn’t feel particularly hot to me.

I knew this was a short story heading into it buy it felt totally incomplete. And the FMC was annoying and her "inner thoughts" didn't make much sense. Would nor read again. The spice was okay.

This wasn’t tagged as a daddy / little story at all on the stuff your kindle website and it’s very very hard to spot in the blurb.

Not kink shaming but this makes me uncomfortable and I’m very disappointed that I had it sprung on me

One of the worst pieces of writing I’ve ever read. Worse than a wattpad fan fiction.

This was not good. The writing was choppy and the dialogue awkward. The spice was meh. There was no plot and no conclusion. We don’t even find out what Kay is going to do for her career which was the main premise of the story. Just not good.

Stuff Your Kindle strikes again, this time with a one-star quick read.

The writing is so, so bad! It starts off with a young woman (Kay) wishing she could have a 'Daddy' for Christmas. Enter her brother's best friend (Bastian), who magically shows up in a snow storm to stay at their house (and the rest of the family is out other places so it is perfect). But what began to annoy me was this woman is crying all the time -- crying kind of like she needs to see a shrink, not enter a new relationship.

Is there a plot? No, not one that makes sense. So forget that right out the window and try to just figure out the sex scenes... which are less than stellar. A little bit of spanking. Some sex.

The entire premise is this Daddy/little girl thing that never gets fully developed. Now, I'm going to say "not my kink" but I didn't realize that was the premise when I stuffed this in my Kindle. Since I had it, I was like, just keep reading. But that kink isn't ever really developed here. It was like someone that knows nothing about the kink decided to write about it and came up with this.

Skip it. With the poor writing, lack of plot, and no real storyline that makes any sense at all, it was just kind of a waste of time.

I knew nothing about this short Christmas novella so I had no expectations. I believe it was a stuff your kindle day dowload.

After some intimate photos are leaked all over the internet Kayleigh has to move back into her childhood home to make ends meet. All she wants is a Daddy to take care of her. After writing a letter to Santa she discovers her wish has come true. Her crush and brother's best friend Sebastian decides to stay at Kayleigh's parent's house when a snow storm strands him. Will Sebastian be the Daddy she's always wanted?

This book was alright i guess. It felt way too short and rushed but I guess that's to be expected for only 74 pages. The author should have put another 50 pages minimum into it and really fleshed everything out better. It was only chapter 1 and Kayleigh was already calling Sebastian Daddy and telling him I love you when we hadn't really established they had a history of crushing on each other or anything like that so it felt like it made no sense for her to fall for him so fast. The smut wasn't the best I've read but, it was there so there's that. It was kinda boring if I'm honest. The dialogue isnt the greatest and theres no real conclusion to the story. It just feels unfinished. Overall I'd probably say pass on this one.

SYK Day strikes again.

I had some small amount of hope for this one. I don't know why, I'm generally not that optimistic, especially when the first two I read from the SYK Day pile were both horrendous. But still, I tried to go into this one hopeful. And yet, here I sit, still very, very disappointed.

Look, it's a romance, tentatively trying to maybe kinda sorta be an erotica (but not really cause what smut there is is far too tasteful for that). But that entire genre is at the mercy of the suspension of disbelief for how quickly relationships can develop. Anyone who reads that genre frequently knows that, we accept it, it's fine. But there's kinda a point where you're not even relying on suspension of disbelief anymore when you're portraying the relationship developing, you're just being downright unreasonable. And this saw that point, glanced at it once, and then barreled on past at full speed.

The girl is... how do I put this kindly... immature as all hell? It has absolutely nothing to do with the "little" aspect of things, and everything to do with the fact there is no way a grown adult woman thinks like this. Unless this girl was actually meant to be 18 or 19, which I'm fairly certain she was not (and I'm genuinely not about to subject myself to a reread to double check that), this just isn't how any adult with a functioning brain would process the world around them. Her kinks have zero relevance to that. At absolute best, if you want to justify just how immature her thought process is for the vast majority of the time, then this girl treads a very weird line between having a DD/lg kink, and just outright age regressing - which for anyone who knows the difference, that is really concerning.

The guy started off with a few promising moments, but that devolved just as quickly in the long run. And this is where we start getting into spoiler territory because there's just no better way to describe the terrible display this was on both sides.

I've read better, and more kink-accurate things on Ao3, and at this point I'm starting to develop a complex around anything available via SYK Day, cause I have yet to pick up anything actually worth the read that way.

Right off the bat, you should know there are some DD/LG elements. Idk how I missed that (I blame the lack of warning on the stuff your kindle day site) but as it's not really my thing I wanted to make it clear for anyone else who is looking to steer clear of that dynamic. That's not why I'm giving it a low rating though. The plot was pretty thin and at times seemed out of order and/or pretty implausible. There were abrupt tonal and attitude shifts from the FMC that just took me right out of the story and the dialogue felt wooden. Beyond that the spice level was mild and the sex was written like an afterthought. Go ahead and skip this one.

DD/LG and a quick read!

Pure perfection to wrap up ur ending goal with this quick steamy read.

I do wish they had gone more in depth with the T 0 y $ but it was a short story so not expecting to much.

I feel like this would be a great full length novel to get more of their relationship and see where everything leads.

I did not enjoy how she was automatically just being a brat before they fully talked when he kept telling her they needed to.

Overall I enjoyed this read and it helped wrap up my goal 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Okay, I would say this book isn’t for everyone but the story is engaging ( if you can skip over the daddy part like I did). The characters are relatable. The writer has talent even if it isn’t my type of love story. I would read her works again if she had none daddy fetish books. It was definitely one of the better finds so far from Stuff Your Kindle day as many of them have been tough to read. The book was actually edited and the story flows.

1.5 stars (rounded up)

Pretty dull when it comes to erotica.

This was not labelled as "Daddy Dom/little girl" anywhere, which can be a very uncomfortable kink for a lot of people.
The characters were somewhat realistic, but the storytelling fell a little flat and felt incomplete, and the spicy scenes were a little unsatisfactory.

Would not read again.

Really good overall

If you like DdLg books, this is cute. I really feel the girl needs him to help get her mind in the right place. She's very self-conscious to the extreme and needs him to show her she's wrong about herself perception. I kind of wish we could have seen more of what's to come between them.

I would give this one a 3.5. It is a nice short story with nice characters. The only problem I saw was the ending left me hanging. This is the first book I have read by this author, but I will be looking for other books. I am willing to give her a chance.

I got about half way through this book and decided I just could not finish it.
There is really nothing wrong with the story in what I did read – its just the whole “Daddy” thing just is not my thing. Never has been and probably never will be, but if it is for you – awesome!

This book was horrible. An overgrown woman-child is in love with her brother's best friend and acts like a spoiled child to get her way. I couldn't stand her character and the male characters interactions with her make him sound like a pedophile.

not really my thing.

I pushed through to finish this one. Daddy isn’t really my thing, and I got a little bored. To each there own I suppose.

horribly written, zero followable plot, and the smut isn't even interesting enough to make up for that fact
