Okay, so, check it. My deranged Auntie Queen took one of my men and is storing him up in her castle.
Uhhh. That’s going to be a problem for you, lady. You don’t know this yet but you’re about to find out: He. Belongs. To. Me.
He, on the other hand, keeps telling me to wait. That he has things handled. That he has a plan.
But I see the truth—the dude is just trying to control the crushing weight of the world so we don’t have to.
My man is about to learn his biggest lesson yet:
I’m no demonfae chick in need of saving.
I will knock down the damn door of your stupid castle and take what I want.
With, or without your permission.
Knock, knock, evil queen. I’m coming for you.
Fate of the Demon Fae is a sexy paranormal romance that features a snarky, kick-ass heroine and her obnoxious, movie quoting, british-pretender cat. Combined with four brooding, protective demons that you won't have to choose between. Will have mm.
I have to admit, I thought this was the final installment so I was a bit disappointed to reach the “end” only to find out it’s not the end at all. That’s not because I want it to be finished, but because I’m anxious to find out what happens next. Still, it’s not one of the worst cliffhangers from this author, who gets a twisted joy out of torturing her readers. Hey, she has admitted as much. Regardless (and I’m really tempted to say irregardless just to annoy people), I enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to the next one, whether it be the last one or not.
I received an ARC of this book, as I have other books in the series. I love that the author shares her work with select readers ahead of time to get feedback in advance. The only downside is that I can’t simply pick up the next book in the series and continue reading. By the time the next book arrives, I’ve often forgotten some of the details and have some difficulty reacclimating to the characters and plot. I’d like to see Ava Mason (and other series authors) include a brief synopsis at the beginning of each new book so readers can be reminded of who’s who and what has happened thus far.
This particular episode of Demon Fae brings Blayde, Maverick, Nix, Stellan, and Rhys closer than ever to eliminating the threat of Zara. Evanora, Blayde’s aunt, is more “humanized” and Blayde comes to like her much better than in previous books. I also had a greater sympathy for Rogue and Evanora, no doubt due to Blayde’s and Rhys’ POVs. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I recommend it.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "RISE OF THE DEMON FAE" Ava Mason as usually you know how to pull your readers right into a story that grabs you from beginning to end I love this series. This was an excellent riviting journey Blyade, Nix, Stellan, Maverick & Rhys take you on to take down the evil Queen Zara down once & for all. Blyade becomes closer to Evanora she sees what a toll it's taken on her that the love of her life Rogue has had to be under Zara's thumb & in her bed. Blyade wants Lennox & Rhys out of the evil Queen's clutches once & for all especially after Stellan & Maverick are captured also she's going to get them out. I definitely recommend to get this excellently written book with so much intrigue, suspense, danger, secrets, intense violent situations that have you glued to your seat & the shocking cliffhanger you need the next book ASAP to see what happens next. AWESOME AWESOME READ!!!!!!
DNF - quit at 12% It was really hard to get back into this story. I just want feeling it within the first 12%, to want to continue. There was POV changes every chapter, & skipping around a lot that made it harder to get into the book, because it left me feeling disconnected with it for the short snippets from chapter to chapter, almost feeling like different stories patched together. Sometimes I honk too many POV’s are detrimental at times, especially when done for different locations or scenes making a story jump around. I really wish I hadn’t bothered with the series now.
At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
The first in the series that doesn't read like fanfiction with names changed. The author tries to build up some decent tension but either doesn't give a good payoff or holds too much information back for us to invest emotionally. Many plot points introduced are almost instantly forgotten, and the ones that are explored come out of left field and make little sense. Had a good plot twist in the middle of the book and a satisfying resolution to the overarching story. The cliffhanger and introduction to the last book of the series feels like it should have been a small side plot. I'm not sure if I feel the final book is actually necessary.
Somehow this series just keeps getting better and better along with adding more twists and turns. This one had a seriously insane twist in it that I didn’t see coming at all. I loved these characters so much and I want even more of their story! I’m so happy we got to see the relationships develop more and we got more of the characters. I still love Tuddle so much! He makes me laugh the most out of all the characters. I can’t wait for the next book! This one had so much heat and just wow get ready for that.
Oh man such a shocking story. It is jammed packed with so much drama, action, and suspense. We learn more about Blayde and Lennox through this one. The humor is an added bonus. There are so emotional moments that definitely pull you in. The story is an absolute stunning story. It is extremely well written and developed. It will have you on the edge of your seat. We get to the ending and boy what a major cliffhanger. I absolutely cannot wait to read the next one.
2.5 out of 5 stars. I hate to say this, but this novel ultimately ruined the series for me. Although I did finish the book, I found it so frustrating that I chose to skim-read through most of it rather than stopping altogether. Ok I definitely need more star's! Talk about hot ...Ms. Mason must have had a big fan on her while she was writing this book! Blayde and her men, Nix🔥, Mavvie 🔥, Stellan 🔥, AND Ryhs 🔥🔥. They have to kill the awful Queen and Blayde is getting mad..The Queen has Ryhs and her brother locked up in that castle! Blayde is going to get what's her's back no matter what she has to do! And those men are her's! Great story but its best read in order...
No spoilers of any kind included. I thought Rise Of The Demon Fae was pretty good. The story kept me ensnared after I finished the first chapter. So it’s going to be yes I do recommend this book. Actually I recommend the whole series that is out as of right now because it’s really good.
*An ARC was provided by the author, publisher or a promotional service and I have chosen to publish a fair and honest review*
We catch back up with Blayze and her men right where the last book took off. Rhys is still undercover though things are looking about ready to explode. In the meantime the others are trying to figure things out but stuff keeps getting in their way. Lots of surprise twists mixed in with the action and steam making for a fantabulous book that you can't put down. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Spice ✅ Angst ✅ Humor ✅ Action/adventure ✅ I really like the FMC but in this book she had ZERO sense of urgency lol like, minutes til death and she’s shooting the shizznit lol also the secret keeping got a lil outta hand especially since she made a bunch of promises each time she got busted and still held out on a secret until the very end of this book sooo that was annoying haha but I guess fated mates can do no wrong haha
I liked this book and how it answered so many questions and omg the PLOT TWIST I did not see coming in this book ! The skeptical feeling you feel was I betrayed or not. It literally explains everything. Now after everything Blayde gets ALL her guys, brother and cousin but how long will that last before chaos erupts again.👀🤭 The ending of left on another cliff hanging ready for the final book!
Blayde is such a kicka$$ character. She can be blinded by herself a bit, but always cares about her guys. That was made abundantly clear in this book. The struggle was real to contain emotions, drama flying in from left field, I loved it. I thought this was the final book and am sooo excited that it ended on a cliffy to book 4.
This is a fun third installment and I was surprised at the ending! I was not expecting that to happen and now I’m excited again for book 4. It’s like we’re kinda starting over after the ending of this book. Overall all Ava Mason’s book are so well contained and well written! This book is really fun and I’m happy for this story to keep going.
This was a good read but the first half was bland. The ending was fantastic and would have been an amazing ending to the series but there will be another book. Not sure if I'm interested enough to keep on with the series.
This is the third book in the Forbidden Fates series and boy oh boy, the journey that Blyade, Nix, Stellan, Maverick & Rhys take you on to take down Queen Zara just makes them get closer to each other. This series just keeps getting better and better and I can not wait to read the next book.
The series comes to a head in this book. A lot of questions are answered and the plot twists are well thought out and surprising. This is not the final book in the series.
You just can’t... end... the book... like that!! Whothe Ffff is Lexi?? Well either way I love these guys all of them and I’m hoping in the future there’s a Lennox story out there!
This book is full of answers and action. There are still plenty if questions for the next book to answer. There were some sad moments in this book and a heartbreaking story for one if the aunts. I can't wait to read the next book.
Fantastic. This series just keeps getting better and better. Loved the characters and the interaction. You wonder what else could happen. Ready for the next one.
I really enjoyed this series. Blayde and her men have had a tough time. I thought I would cry at the fighting at the end. Can’t wait to see what happens next
